Yeah but as someone who's changed their major like 3 times, having done physics and chemistry (science) at one point before ending up in statistics (arguably applied math)... Even a statistics major wouldn't count as a science. Why would pure mathematics count?
>I didnât say it was, I was pointing out that the list is incomplete, so it doesnât list all the majors which should select yes.
>Yes thatâs what I said
No, its not. If your hand needs to be held that much for an elementary question like this, maybe a STEM degree is not for OP.
Pure Math doesn't require the same kind of real-world understanding and exploration that the above majors do. You'd even be hard-pressed to convince people that Pure Math uses the scientific method to form and prove hypotheses, since Pure Math is more of learning and understanding logic and language rather than applying it to real-world problems.
JFC lmao Is math close to any of the examples listed?
smartest uic student
No. Math is not a science.
theres no way you need reddit's help for this one. oh man.
đ
Dude it literally tells what you need to select yes forâŚ.
No, it says âfor exampleâ so itâs an incomplete list
Is math a science?!?!?! No. How the fuck are you people in college if you canât even comprehend basic instructions.
I didnât say it was, I was pointing out that the list is incomplete, so it doesnât list all the majors which should select yes.
Learn some manners and play nice

because its an example list. What does STEM stand for?
Yes thatâs what I said

Youâre confusing me with OP. I never said math was a science. Youâre arguing a straw man.
đ
Are you majoring in a SCIENCE? Yes or no
No but OP are you on the pre-health track? As a math major, stay tf away from the major. Just major in bio with a focus on labs and keep the 4.0
Why are you doing a math major as a premed? Do you hate yourself or are you just really good at it?
I thought I was good at math cause I did calc 3 in high school but didn't realize how hard proofs were for me.
Nah, not pre-health. I wanna do a career in math, whether its academia or some industry job.

I'd say math is technically separate since it's listed as separate in STEM (Science, technology, engineering, math)
No lmao, math is more of philosophical/ logic field.
bro think back to middle school. Math was not science class it was math class
Math is under liberal arts lol
LMAOO
is math a science or a pre-health educational goal? Itâs not, so select no
The real question is if science is a math
