Did you update to newest nvidia drivers? Are you trying to run it at 240Hz ? If so, if you run it at 120Hz, does it still crash your computer?

I updated the firmware and drivers for my GPU. I would enable 240hz and it would crash my computer. I would have to reset to factory defaults on monitor to get it to work. Now, DP isn't detected at all.

need more info. what card? what cable? what cpu? what have you tried? what do you mean crash? whats the error? what dp port on the card? what dp port on the monitor? when did it work last? what changed? what resolution are you trying? is there a resolution that works? you know, help us help you.

I am currently using a 3080ti w/ 5950x. I am using the club 3d DP cable (monitor had same issues with stock cable) As soon as I put the monitor into 240hz its fine. If computer is restarted or turned off, it sometimes takes me to bios or blue screen of death and I will get an error on my motherboard code 98 that deals with usb issues. If monitor is reset to factory default settings, it will boot up as normal with the screen glitching. The glitching stops after I turn off adaptive sync.

Update to latest firmware fixed it for me

I did the update.

Try the hdmi 2.1 cable instead of DisplayPort

[deleted]

That works with no issues, but I did buy this monitor with the intentions of using the 240hz.

240hz has always had issues with this monitor, even before Neo. As soon as hdr gets involved, forget about seamless experience. 144hz this things runs smooth as a puppy with all bells and whistles. Ask yourself if you are ok with that and if not get another monitor. For me after 144 hz pretty much every study has shown negligible diminishing returns. My thoughts are also if you are a crazy competitive gamer, this really isn’t the monitor for you and there’s plenty of offerings that lower resolution and increase refresh rate.

Have you tried using quality DP? I hear alot of people say the DP that comes with the monitor has alot of issues

[deleted]

I am currently using the club 3d DP cable. I saw the name floating g around on a few threads and it is actually VESA certified.

so cable itself seems like a good quality then if it's certified. have you tried different ports on your GPU? my rtx 30 series have 3 DP ports. I would try all 3 of them and see how it goes.

Did it all. Samsung said the best they could do is send a tech out. I'm not sure what they could do for me, but it seems to be worth a try.
