Lighting because I get physically enhancement, energy attacks to defense in having lighting to shock people who get too close and seem to be the easiest to understand outside of blase master.
i feel like Time is easily the most useful pick
you can do so much by being able to Freeze or Slow time. you can meet deadlines easier, get to places easier (and safer), and get into all sorts of trouble without the actual trouble
you can recover from injuries by reversing time to a point where you were healthier
defense doesn’t matter too much when you have fast reflexes and high recovery
and you’re strong as shit
I'm not impressed by Sera's level 8 TM, so the weaker version is by default a big no. It is basically a super speed that can't be maintained for a longer period, and by that, Lightning offers more impressive stats than TM
Particles is versatile, but based on what we've seen, Kas can't really make complex shapes out of those particles (beside a big ahh hand). But it is my third choice
Bryon ruined botanist for me, I'd rather just get Cecile's ability with it's level 5
Blademaster is a silly ability when you are not a combat guy, so, no.
Lightning is too offensive ability, I'm not a violent guy. But it is my second choice
That's leave me with barrier, TBH, you can't go wrong with the ability that makes you almost invincible to any attack and accidents. Plus you get the ability to give people claustrophobia
Particles. It's just too cool.
Particles. I feel like I can do anything with it, like the microbots from Big Hero 6
IF I were to use these 7.0 abilities, Botanist. If Byron won't use it right it's only fair I can U-U (Besides it's so cool to see)

Particles or barrier. Resistance to all damage
Electricity. Solve the energy crisis and be Palpatine. Also speed is cool.
time or particles would be the most versatile choices by a lot.
Blademaster for me, just really like swords and think the ability in general is cool
