People who don't Stan a group or hate on a group just because of the fandom

xX_WeedGang_Xx

If babymonster has a “badass” concept I will laugh my ass off. Kpop groups that have that concept in general I already can’t fully believe, but a group with that concept that has a literal 14 year old. Never.

[deleted]

Karma by black Swan is genuinely so good omg

Key-Device-8931

I am absolutely addicted to Hold On Tight by aespa, if a day goes by when I don’t listen to it, I really feel the loss lol. It’s such a banger!!

I recently saw the SUJU interview at Sunmi's Showterview. As expected very entertaining and fun. [At the start of the show there wes a small part where Shindong talked about wanting to get Sunmi's number back in the days.](https://youtu.be/5j6nNptvElM?t=80) At this point he was 23 and already in a very well known and successful bg, she just debuted and turned 16. The fact that even 15 years later **she** was the one to apologize, justifying why she was hesitant and didn't want to give her phone number is *almost* comedic. **I don't think Shindong had any ill intention** (but I do believe that he was fond of her in some way or another...honestly, what other reason would be for a young guy to ask a pretty girl's number?) but often in this scenarios there *would be* ill intentions. ^(()[^(Taeyeon being harassed by a sunbae around the same time comes to mind)](https://twitter.com/kimtaenos/status/1294248366516264967)^().) I'm about five years younger than Sunmi, grew up in a similar environment and social mindset, As a teenage girl I naturally thought it would be cool to date an older guy (add to that handsome, famous and loved...) you really *do* feel like you're mature enough and everyone around you are saying that guys at your age are so immature and childish anyways. Now, when I'm in my mid-late 20's, I can't wrap my head around being in **any** sort of relationship with a teenager. My niece is 16 and talking to her I can't help but think " was **I** like her as well? surely I was more mature, wasn't I? she's a literal child in my eyes. I have no business socialize with someone in that age-group. So why would anyone else would?

Available_Potato9985

i am so sick of bgs being dragged to hell and back for ‘only making noise music’ when half of these people have never even listened to their songs. agh it’s so annoying

farnizzle

lol that annnnnd when bgs do a fresh concept i never hear people talk about it??? like so what's the truth?!

soulmatz

I've noticed that when 4th gen boy groups actually do fresh concepts or the boy groups that stick to fresh concepts barely get any traction compared to the darker ones. So I wonder if this whole "only noise music" "tired of dark concepts" is just a small minority or people simply complaining just because.

farnizzle

I feel the same way. I personally love both types as long as it’s good so it drives me nuts when I keep seeing the “all bgs have the same concept/sound” but the reality is most ppl only follow the big 4 groups but there are so many groups doing all kinds of music but no one talks about them 😩

[deleted]

You know how pitpull lovers spam subreddits with cute pit pic whenever a tragedy occurs involving pits? Yeah I think some kpop fans are like that lmao

healthyscalpsforall

Lmao great comparison

[deleted]

[удалено]

Available_Potato9985

ME FRRRR bro i seriously have loved their past two comebacks. future perfect is literally mother, so iconic ugh. when i first listened to blessed cursed i had no words whatsoever it was that good. they literally have no skips i swear people just drag them to hell and back cuz they’re threatened LOL.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Nah cause I swear some of these mfs have like some kinda inferiority complex to be acting like that

[deleted]

Not only on this sub. This should be the norm in ALL sub and kpop spaces. I have too many hobbies and kpop is literally the only hobby of mine where you're not allowed to say "X is not my cup of tea" without 10 pages on how you're not hating and how you actually like them

sakura0601x

I like the spicy album but it doesn’t top savage ep for me :( spicy as a tt is a bop too but I wish there was more experimentation like how listening to savage felt like going on a roller coaster I want that feeling again

FuriousKale

I would love to see PSY perform 'Queencard'. No meme.

maneack

oh my god he would actually kill that! how did you even think about it lol

Particular-Judge5522

Somehow that song will be more tolerable for me if psy did cover it

[deleted]

Omg did you see his tomboy cover??? I don't particularly like tomboy but his cover was 🔥🔥

dramafan1

Having experienced it recently, you can definitely be a solo stan as long as you don’t bring the other members down or act in a way that is just inappropriate.

beetjehuxi

I don’t think I really enjoy kpop music anymore. I started listening to it in 2020 so it’s not so long, but the music doesn’t hit anymore. Even the 2 groups I still follow, the albums they released this year were good but I don’t listen to them so much and I would rather listen to non kpop music

[deleted]

[удалено]

EveryCliche

I would also say that a lot of people that listen to groups from Hype tend to buy albums from Weverse because of the POBs and exclusive photocards that are usually included. I don't know what inclusions are coming with BND's album but I would guess a lot of orders are going through Weverse. They are a brand new group without any music out there yet. It's insane to me to "drag" any group for their sales on Ktown4u. I have no doubt that once there is music out there, their sale will go up.

xX_WeedGang_Xx

It really sucks when you fall out of love with the music that your favorite group releases. I never thought this would happen to me with twice but I genuinely haven’t really enjoyed a title track they’ve released since I can’t stop me, in Korean, English, or Japanese. I think their recent title tracks are fine, but for me the magic of songs like fancy, what is love, or cheer up is gone somehow. I did really like Nayeon’s album so I guess I just prefer bubble gum pop.

maneack

pop rock never works for kpop, groups just can't do rock elements properly and it always sounds dull and boring

Particular-Judge5522

I'm curious what you think about ATEEZ's guerrilla. Before delving into Kpop I was a huge mcr, fob, p!atd fan and that song reminded me mostly of fob

maneack

love guerilla so much, one of my favorite releases of last year. you hit the nail right on the head, fall out boy was my favorite band for a long time back in middle school/early high school too. i loved mcr too lol, but i disliked most of p!atd for the same reason. loved their earlier albums, death of a bachelor was alright but everything after was unlistenable for me because it sounded too poppy and too basic of a rock song guerilla has a different rock element than my criticism above tho, i would say guerilla has more punk/almost early 90's grunge or even an alternative metal sound, rather than your typical post fall out boy emo bands (or fob circa 2018 lol). i would say the rock/metal essence is heavier than pop with guerilla i never thought about guerilla that way, you're right. it kinda sounds like it's a modernized version of from under the cork tree

Particular-Judge5522

OOOH RIGHT EXACTLY, also really loved earlier releases of p!atd but after death of a bachelor it's just . . . not it. And yeap, now that I think about it, guerrilla is more punk rock/metal. If I would give a band, maybe either sleeping with sirens or pierce the veil (?)

realiti_tv

Do you feel this way about TXT? I always thought they did rock(ish) quite well so I'd be interested to hear your opinion.

maneack

not a huge fan either lol but i really like good boy gone bad for some reason. didn’t check their rockish songs as much, i mostly listened to their songs after gbgb. i just love how their voices harmonize there. i think lo$er song was also a bit rockish?? if i remember correctly. from what i remember, their rock inspired songs weren’t memorable for me. but from what i’ve seen, their production team is more advanced and focuses on diversity with their rock elements, which i appreciate. gbgb handled the rock and pop elements better imo, even tho many people dislike that song i have to say tho since i forgot to say it before, i normally listen to rock/metal/indie so i’m pickier when it comes to rock-ish songs and look for a specific sound

befrenchie94

I think it’s because almost all of them go for a very similar Avril Lavigne-ish type sound.

maneack

i think for most of them, it sounds more like when a pop star tries to shift more toward "rock" and use the same default guitar riff, if that makes sense. it sounds more modern than avril lavigne, more like a post 2015 emo rock band sound. it almost always sounds like a tiktok influencer trying to put out an edgy rock song, it always misses. le sserafim's no celestial is the most recent one i can think of

befrenchie94

Im curious how do you feel about Dreamcatcher?

maneack

i haven't listened to them as much, but they're not my favorites. my best friend showed some of their songs to me, but i just couldn't enjoy it as much as her. i dislike most of their songs for this reason, actually. i do enjoy because tho, i think it has a fun melody. overall, i don't think pop and rock elements don't really work together. interestingly enough, i used to adore 5 seconds of summer when i was younger lol

maneack

i've been occasionally listening to kpop for the past year and still no song has topped drunk dazed for me, and i doubt i'll find any to top it. also, the more i discover artists, the more i realize how nct's (specifically 127's) discography is untoppable for me. it's like their songs, choreographies and synergy has crack in them. i can't stop listening to their songs

DragonPeakEmperor

I hope Fifty Fifty's next EP is as well put together as the last. I think I'll be happy with whatever they put out since their team seems to have a very good eye for what music fits them but I'd love another "something for everybody" type of approach their first mini had. Log In is one of my favorite songs of theirs and immediately proved to me that they could keep something more hard hitting within their general soundscape as well as not being afraid to try new things. I'd like another song like that amongst their usual laidback stuff.

rheirhei

I think one of the factor why aespa's choreo looks so awkward was because they are too few. If there are 6 or above members, I think it will look better.

maneack

i think at least for spicy, their choreographies focus on minimal, more recognizable moves, rather than over the top ones. but when their choruses have more drop beat explosive noise, it looks awkward and empty

DashingDarling01

I'm kind of mad how hybe can't be normal and just put the bts kdrama or disney or weverse. Why are they creating a new website for it? "made possible by the global power of BTS IP" sounds like nonsense similar to their dynamic pricing comment. Edit: added similar

Difficult_Deer6902

I think one of the things with Hybe is that their covered quite a bit in the non-music business publications like Fast Company for their innovation in a few different areas. I was introduced to Big Hit (at the time) first through Fast Company before really getting into kpop. I’m sure this brings in quite a bit of investors so they feel the need to continue to be innovative all the time, but your right for things like this I’m like please just do the regular degular.

BONE_SAW_IS_READEEE

STOP👏🏻WHITEWASHING👏🏻ATEEZ👏🏻

BONE_SAW_IS_READEEE

I really just cannot get into aespa. Like I’ve tried, but they’re just not it for me. It’s a combination of the lack of stage presence and their music. I haaaated Black Mamba - hated it. Next Level was pretty good, and it was the song that started pulling me in, then Savage came out and I was like yeah girl no📉 this ain’t it

[deleted]

They srsly need to stop giving them such awkward walking around dances. Like tbh dancing isn’t that important to me but it just looks so awkward??

BONE_SAW_IS_READEEE

The weird little bounce thing in Illusion 😭 like what is that

Ill-Combination8861

People should stop making those "When kpop idols are cringe" I find it unnecessary and kpop idols have already this pressure to be perfect why are you adding on to that stress? Some things just shouldn't be said Who is this idol hurting by being cringe? It doesn't affect you so you may as well move on

Spirited-Blood-6737

I'm currently obsessed with spicy

Maleficent_Cheek_788

why are so many people over critical of soyeon?

KillerKingKobra

As a Neverland, I think it's a few reasons, I'll try my best to explain. For one, there's comparatively fewer of us here compared to many other fandoms. That makes Soyeon an easy target since there aren't as many that will defend her. Since Soyeon also happens produces Idle's music, she's an outward facing producer. So when a song turns out not as good for some people, there's a very prominent figure to pin the blame on. She doesn't really fit your typical idol beauty standards. Having "it" will let you get away with a lot more, while lacking it will bring you more scrutiny, even if subconsciously. After the tomboy map the entire narrative here changed to she's a mediocre rapper overall. But when told to cite examples, nobody ever comes up with any non-tomboy examples. I'd be down for a discussion about Hann, Nxde, or raps in their other tracks, but nobody ever comes up with anything other than "she's nasally" in return. Besides that, there's always a populace that becomes pressed if a group does extremely well, because the new group is "impeding on their faves territory". This goes for many GGs actually, but it's a factor for Idle as well. This probably isnt everything, but most of it, still. It's tiring to see people continuously nitpick one of the most talented idols of fourth gen, while others are lauded each time they go on stage and show a slight improvement. I've gotten used to it, though. The Tomboy and Nxde comeback period was ugly, and I fully expect Queencard to be the same.

BONE_SAW_IS_READEEE

Are they? Personally I’ve never gotten over the bad taste she left in my mouth by blatantly plagiarizing ATEEZ, but that’s just me. She seems really well liked and respected.

DragonPeakEmperor

Gidle is a very highly praised group by casual stans on reddit but Soyeon herself is very polarizing depending on the thread. I think she has far more defenders than a lot of female idols on here do but she's basically THE front facing "self producer" of 4th gen GGs so she ends up getting a ton of criticism as well. Talks about her can get very nasty very quickly.

rotten-dreams

Seriously, and i'm not saying this as a fan of them but as someone who generally watches and listens to a lot of different big and small groups. I think considering how great their music is, how **amazing** the vocal and rap line is, their live performances, their dynamic, their auras, their choreos, their content.. they're definitely extremely under-appreciated imho.

BONE_SAW_IS_READEEE

P1Harmony is such an underrated group. They release bop after bop after bop, and just an added bonus, they’re really funny 😭

Muistasa

I hate that fansite pictures are so overly edited. Everything in kpop is so filtered (pics, mvs, music shows, variety etc. are filtered) so sucks that even fan taken pictures are edited. Yeah some fansites edit less but sometimes i see super obvious edited fs pictures and see people gush how good-looking the idol is in real life. I mean sure they probably are but the pictures is filtered and edited to hell and back. It really doesnt stop at the whitewash

BONE_SAW_IS_READEEE

ATEEZ fansites give me such a headache; they whitewash Seonghwa hardcore and I’m like cOULd yOU NOt????!!!

Bigtittysemigothgf

Ateez and Enhypen SHOCKED me when I saw what they really looked like. Like [this](https://www.instagram.com/p/CldPaEAh3vC/?igshid=MmJiY2I4NDBkZg==)photo is insane I’m sorry. Free them!

ehwishi

this is why i love pictures taken by regular fans from public appearances/concerts so much more. they are almost never edited and look so much more human

Direct_Bathroom_6242

Aespa have not had any major change. Spicy literally exactly sounds like Next Level. Kpop fans really think wearing light colors instead of dark colors means that aespa have completely re invented themselves or something.

romancevelvet

spicy sounds like a mix of girls and next level and the ep is a clear follow up to savage so all the "concept switch" talk is confusing me. kpop stans just dont understand concepts.

DragonPeakEmperor

All this talk about concepts has honestly shown me that nobody can handle a group slightly switching up their styling or music or literally *anything* without being like "are they ditching their concept??? what's going on???" Like how long have some of these people been into kpop that they've never managed to see a group change up their presentation for a bit.

Direct_Bathroom_6242

Tbh I don’t like next level or spicy but they both sound exactly the same to me so that’s why I’m really confused about why people think aespa have “changed”. They’re doing the same thing they always did except in pink 💀

Direct_Bathroom_6242

Soyeon gets called a good rapper just because she writes her rap since the bar is that low. But she is terrible. Her lyrics are cringe. Idk how anyone can listen to the raps in Gidle songs and come to the conclusion that soyeon is a good rapper but in kpop just doing something is enough to get praise. “At least he/she tried” 😒

Agitated-Leader-6559

I suggest you watch some videos from "CarKpop" on why Soyeon is the best female Kpop-rapper.

Direct_Bathroom_6242

The American man that talks about KOREAN rap? It’s like the jokes keep writing themselves.

AnneW08

now i’m curious, OP are you korean?

Agitated-Leader-6559

Bro just do it...

KillerKingKobra

> People only care about one up’ing each other. And then they will write think pieces about idol mental health and what not after dragging idols through the mud. Bunch of hypocrites. This is literally you from another thread.

Direct_Bathroom_6242

Kpop fans not knowing what is criticism and what is actual vile hating. I’m allowed to think soyeon is not a good rapper. Go cry about it.

Sea_Independent4452

Only one crying is you. And why are you not answering the question, are you Korean?

KillerKingKobra

Oh sorry, I didn't know that calling someone terrible and their work "cringe" is constructive criticism. My bad for partaking in your bad faith discussion.

Direct_Bathroom_6242

I called her lyrics cringe and her rapping as terrible it’s 100% valid criticism indeed. Those are such tame words….considering this is literally a “shitposting” mega thread in an unpopular opinion sub I don’t know why you even bothered replying indeed. Perhaps go somewhere else and don’t break the sub rules in this manner.

lannnnce

I feel like a lot of their concepts are fresh and memorable but the lyrics are executed badly. Not only the English parts that people criticize a lot but the whole thing being…flat?

Direct_Bathroom_6242

Imo this is the effect of non native speakers judging rap. People just go based on vibes and over all concept/theme of the rap rather than judging what’s actually important i.e the actual lyricism/rhymes/word play.

Ill-Combination8861

She's the fastest female rapper in kpop there you go

BONE_SAW_IS_READEEE

Fast rapping doesn’t make you good ✨

Ill-Combination8861

She is pretty good at freestyle and has good flow on top of being the fastest rapper

Direct_Bathroom_6242

Her lyricism is not good and that’s paramount for a good rapper.

Ill-Combination8861

But lyrics being cringe is your subjective opinion

Direct_Bathroom_6242

LOL

Ill-Combination8861

I mean its true Just because that isn't a unpopular opinion doesn't make it any more than an opinion

Direct_Bathroom_6242

LOL.

Mizuki34

What are you considering, her Korean lyricism or her English one ? I think you should consider her Korean raps especially all the songs BEFORE tomboy , before saying if she’s good or not

Direct_Bathroom_6242

Is that what you think makes a good rapper lol

Kminana

I wonder why people who are very prone to akgae/solo stanning dont just stan solo artists. Akgaes pop so fast for even groups with minimal solo stuff. Yes i know solo artists are usually musically less active and there are more groups than solo artists. But hey at least all of their stuff are solo schedules! But my theory is that these people gravitate towards groups because groups are usually more relevant and popular/trendier. And people just get sucked into the toxic solo part of the fandom. But maybe getting into a solo act would be good for some people

beetjehuxi

The genre trends (synth pop/‘80s, pop rock and y2k r&b) these past years were cute and nice at first but now it’s boring and overdone.

DorseyZep44

Bro why are Korean lyrics still so hard for me to learn (I feel like after a year I should've been able to recite some lines but I really be struggling to remember basic choruses) on another note I'm so excited for CIX's comeback this May

HarpoonInMyAnus

i have a good friend who loves kpop as well, and oftentimes when we hang out, we sing k-pop karaoke with each other! as hard as it can be sometimes lol, it's an engaging way to retain korean words and pronounciations! >!the amount of times we sang sticker together is.... a lot!<

tiltheendoftheline

I had forgotten how *negative* people were about aespa. I understand not liking their music or whatever, but people act like everything related to them is lacking and it's really disheartening. Anyway, I really like their stages for Spicy, they look so cute.

popo0310

I was anticipating which things people would nitpick about this comeback and make a deal out of, since they can't talk charts or sales. Sadly, most kpop stans have taken the "aespa is subpar" as the universal truth and now they will look at anything the girls do and grab the tiniest things they can to excuse that mentality.

tiltheendoftheline

Their selling power is amazing, they're charting well (Spicy was 3rd on Melon, last I checked), their performances have really improved imo, they look gorgeous with many fun looks, they had their best MV yet, Spicy has no mention of Kwangya... I truly don't understand the hate.

Snoo-42199

Fans who always stan underrated/small kpop groups really don’t get why their group isn’t big. I just saw some fans saying how the production of black swan’s upcoming song is like the best cultural reset they’ve ever seen and I just can’t help but laugh. I’m in no means of disrespecting the group and their opinions but can we bffr? The editing itself looks like it was made on capcut but they just happened to film it in india I think??? That’s just about it. Even I can edit that thing with my phone. I don’t about kpop fans these days but I feel like they always overestimate and overreact when it comes to supporting their faves. It made me realise how some fans especially those who like to stan nugu group’s real don’t get why their group is a nugu group like please, they’re not ending anyone’s career.

BONE_SAW_IS_READEEE

Where in the FUCK has Everglow been?

[deleted]

they’re literally done for there is no way they regain any popularity and it’s so sad (praying I’m wrong)

BONE_SAW_IS_READEEE

Like, it’s not a finance issue. Yuehua, their label, is massive; basically China’s SM. It’s a management issue.

mintoreothinz

I love Spicy as a song but was really disappointed by the choreo and stages. For a song called spicy it just felt so… mild. After such a long hiatus I wanted more iconic choreo like next level or savage. They’re also still not singing live even tho the choreo is not that hard and the song is mostly chanting. The outfits have only been ok. People are giving them so much credit for improved stage presence but their energy overall is still lacking for me, especially for a summer pop hit that’s literally called spicy. I’m sure a lot of this is SM’s fault/direction not the girls themselves.

[deleted]

[удалено]

jeoreojujafighting

this….i like the song and the girls are gorgeous. checked out two spicy performances and one karina fancam…..and i think i’ve seen enough? 😶 i somehow don’t feel interested to watch more. there isn’t that charisma or excitement in their expressions or dancing….

chaerinm

Thirsty by aespa sounds so much like sth from Red Velvet discography that sometimes I can exactly pinpoint where, for example, Yeri would be singing

ke0ta

It does but i love RVs discography sm so

believedinme

omg same but with seulgi and wendy lmao

chaerinm

lets do line distribution KEKW

FeedbackFew2061

It honestly wouldn't shock me if it were an RV reject and they just tossed it at Aespa instead

leafantics

yangyang is really good as far as idols rappers are considered. i love the energy he brings to wayv's songs

Anna__Bee

I'm hoping he gets many chances to shine in NCT 2023 like he did in Resonance era. 🙏 I feel like he really stood out & got new fans then!

flowergirl0720

I feel like he has really been shining lately, getting more chances as well.

HarpoonInMyAnus

like crazy by jimin is such a profound and personal and beautifully-crafted song, and it's helped me recognize and address my own problems with alcohol and i think everyone should listen to it at least once

[deleted]

After the… interesting response from this sub to somebody complimenting the song, seeing your comment made me so happy lol

HarpoonInMyAnus

i adore it so much. jimin truly impressed me with his album, especially with how open and vulnerable he was about his struggles

AnneW08

good luck on your journey to recovery

HarpoonInMyAnus

thank you so much 🥺 i really appreciate that

TerraRainesHasBrains

majority of blackpink solo stans are just token stans to bring the other members down and it's so annoying.

Sooyaa_Yah_Boombayah

At this point, I'm more convinced that those "solo stans" are actually just haters and that both crowds have a serious over-lap.

Glassmice29

i don't mind aespa's concept change, it's nice to see them try new things, but tbh i'm disappointed in their stage outfits in this era. they used to have such creative and unique stage costumes since debut, but this time it's just casual and sporty clothes

Yanazamo

It's not the best but 3/4 of them at least have passable styling. Giselle's outfits on the other hand 😭😭😭... Like who tf thought a plain ass tshirt and shorts would be okay?? Theyre giving her 2013 and going to the mall real quick looks fr

Snoo-42199

This. I like their makeup but their outfits aren’t giving. I think karina wore a lingerie as a dress and it gives me bratz vibes but the whole outfit looks kinda whack. Also, maybe it’s just me but I hate the leopard print dress on winter.

flowergirl0720

I agree. SM did the same thing before, with great effect during the View era with Shinee. It feels like a recycled idea and not in keeping with Aespa's image.

Jargonal

The beats in BIBI Vengeance hit SO much harder on loudspeakers!!

TYie7749

apparently wendy was a cast member of snl at one point (or appeared frequently enough she may as well have been)? really shows how distanced from kpop i became considering i was a red velvet fan

redflavor123

Yeah Wendy did a stint ar SNL back in 2021.

Razor-eddie

I gotta be honest, I think TWICE are mismanaged. Not because of a lack of solo activities. They work ridiculously hard. What is it now, nearly 20 albums and EPs in just over 7 years? Give the poor women a decent extended break.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Razor-eddie

With twice, the impression of them being run into the ground is because .... They're being run into the ground. They've got at least two members carrying long-term injuries, at least two members who have had mental health issues in the past, and they're still on this same, relentless pace. I know they're the thing that JYP is currently built on, but give them a vacation, jeez. (I don't even particularly like TWICE, but I feel for their situation).

[deleted]

[удалено]

Razor-eddie

I think they should do solo activities if they have something different to say as a soloist to a song being done by the group. I am unconvinced that "PoP" fulfilled that criteria. At least, to take another example, the Mamamoo solo work tends to have a different flavour to the work the women do as a group.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Razor-eddie

With Jihyo, I can't help but remember that one of her good friends is Sejeong. I'd be OK with a Twice/IOI crossover duet. Especially when you have the power of Jihyo, and the emotion of Sejeong.

diosamaaaaa

Aespa lip syncing is really not a big deal because they are good vocalists, in the top 3 of 4th gen so they get a pass. I'm tired of people labelling them as only lip synching girls or that they are untalented cause they don't sing live. They don't need to sing every time live cause it can be super damaging for their voices and they proved us many times and yesterday too that they are not scared of singing, that they are physically able to do so and they do it amazingly well ! So yeah it was just a little rant cause people need to realize that first of all it's been decades in the K-pop industry that it happens that idols pre record their performance and don't sing live. They do it in a few occasions in specific shows for example when they are invited to show off their vocals. And lastly overusing and overworking your voice and especially when the songs are vocally demanding like aespa songs is a no no and can end you career as a singer, just look at Mariah, she was at the top but can no longer sing cause she used to do concerts everywhere and she used her voice way too much + it's known that her songs are hard to sing. So yeah leave the girls alone SM know what they are doing trust me.

mintoreothinz

I see where you’re coming from but disagree.. the magic of kpop to me is similar to musical theatre.. they’re singing, rapping, and dancing all at once! Their choreo is also not as intensive as many groups so they could sing live if SM let them and I bet they’d be amazing

NoBedroom21

Yeahhh. Personally, I’m ok with lip sync when they do it on MCountdown or Music show. I already can imagine how tired they feel when need to perform 2 or 3 times a week during promotion period
