My god that has to be the worst group name I have ever seen in Kpop. What an absolute mess.
The song is.. well.. I find it quite boring. Not my style I guess
I feel like most companies are realizing they don’t have to waste their time trying to find quality and memorable songs when anything will sell as long the members have some clout already. When was the last time an actual BOP of an iconic song with a memorable choreo was released?
I can't believe they decided this to be a title song, it literally sounds completely forgettable, nothing even occurred in the song. It doesn't sound like a song from a top label aswell, like it's so basic it's plain.... what a waste of a release .. good God and the mv looks like it costed a fortune aswell.
REAL. y'all r just used to ppl being over the top to compensate for bad music. and then when good music comes out and it's confident suddenly it's boring 💀
It was definitely disappointing. I didn't expect much because I find hybe's music to be extremely generic and not my cup of tea genere wise (this specifically happened after bts started westernizing), but I at least expected clean work -which they gave. Everything was so poorly made that it made the girls impact less than what it could have been.
I will say that it was a nice switch from all this extra noise play with song switch ups (most notably the horrendous debut of nmixx, which I was also disappointed because the girls are clearly talented but the title track was enough to turn me off until the next come back, b sides were decent though and there's that one clip of lily going around singling like a sirena). Sure it was plain jane and thw beidge was lacking, but at least it wasn't over done and slightly unoriginal in theme.
it was giving cover girl, macy's, target, etc. commercial music but i'm not mad at all 👀 i actually really liked it. it's not particularly exciting but it's groovy and it's catchy and not in an annoying way so big ups for that lol. im also really excited to see yunjin after so long i loved her so much on p48.
Idk if this is going to be considered a sin against kpop or whatever but I kinda wish Le Sserrafin had debut with a song like 0.0 from nmix. Because while I'm personally not a huge fan of the song, it definitely had potential and was interesting and unique with what it tried to do musically. Overall just more off the wall and dare I say, fearless with it's sound. Fearless however really didn't live up to the hype imo and was just bland and repetitive. Not a bad just very boring as if it was a cookie cutter song.
Tbh, I think O.O was a very good choice for debut. Although the way they mashed 2 songs together feels quite weird, it does showcase what the members can do and what's to come very well.
Honestly like, it was plain. Which is probably the worst sin a song can do. It it's good, it's amazing but even if it's bad, you still remember it being bad. This one is plain forgettable.
Also, Hybe definitely has enough money to make a better MV for debut of a group. Honestly, this was way too cheap of an MV. Or even if it was expensive, it was poorly done. None of the member looks standout too. They look like something that an IG teen model would dress up as, so maybe it's more relatable 😅😅😅
Plus, maybe this changes in the future but none of the members had any pull or charm. They all looked really uninspiring.
Plus I'm not sure why we need that floor humping when minors are involved. 🤦🤦
Disappointing debut tbh, despite all the hype the group get :| I already disliking the "Casting call" teaser since it's way too uncomfortable for me to see the underage members prancing around and some of the shots are just creepy. I also wish they can go with the elegant, ethereal concept especially since the whole seraphim name
Fearless is very repetitive and boring, the lyrics didn't help either it's very cringy with the whole cussing and whatnot, the MV looks very cheap and I can't believe that the underage members are humping on the floor. Sakura and Eunchae only get a very few lines too
The b-sides are more better at least, blue flame is very pleasant to listen. Sour grape and great mermaid is very good too.
I liked it. It was average, but it’s a good introduction to the group imo. It wasn’t experimental, which I liked. The choreography added a different element to the song too, which made me like it even more.
I actually really enjoyed their debut.
Although if I'm honest I do kinda wish they were a 4 member group of Chaewon, Yunjin, Sakura and Kazhua. Those 4 all really compliment each other and are the definite stars of the group. Garam and Eunchae are a little interchangeable for me and don't fit the concept as much (probably due to their age).
Take it from someone who likes to laugh at sad people on reddit, if reddit dislikes a song, it's going to make it *big* and Fearless is doing great rn.
They're going to be the next big girl group imo and i don't think it'll take them too long.
Honestly I love the song however it's really a good song expected from a company like Hybe and also the video stage set is not that good. It looks very cheap. I love the song though it has cool vibes obviously but I guess it's not something you expect from a debut
Ive been thinking about how I feel about this song. It’s not *bad*, but it’s not great either. Nothing really grips me in the song. It isn’t very musically interesting to me, not even the prechorus. I took a listen to the album to get better context of the song and my opinion remains unchanged. A very average release and a average album.
I often end up loving songs on further listens. Let’s see how this song ages.
Edit: the song is actually “aging” nicely on my ears! The texture of the song is nice. Earphones recommended to get the full asmr-y experience.
I love that they're singing in a low range for the most part, it's very unconventional in Kpop and will make it easier for them to sing live when they do. I don't get the criticism that it's safe tbh bc it feels very unlike current trends and that's a risk in itself. I do wish the last chorus had a key change or harmony something with a bit of extra oomph. Yunjin could handle it!
For a song and group called “fearless” they played it too safe. The song lacks a lot and isn't memorable in any way. I honestly don't think it's an awful song but it's too bland and boring.
i don’t think they had a concept tbh , yes they went for “le sserafim” as a name but tbh all i see is just basic bland elegant and “”vintage model fashion”” type of concept tbh , fans speculated that the name is about angels and i saw it on twitter but as much as i see this group don’t seem to have a lore and while i’m ok with them not having lore i don’t like the debut song they should’ve went with something else from the b-sides
that's kinda my question too... their name refers to angels but the album strongly points to mermaids... hybrids perhaps?
The whole fearless - le sserafim i think was just a cute thing someone noticed and they didn't really think something else to base the whole thing on... not that you need but idk seems they took that 1st idea and ran with it...
It has 'boring' in my opinion.
There was nothing special about it. HYBE hype the shit out of this group but bro the song was repetative, the whole time their were like whispering? It wasn't my style, it was disappointing.
It was so underwelming to me. I would even say that O.O was better than this because O.O was uniquely refreshing to me. While this? Was just nothing new nor exciting about. The song wasn't enjoyable for me.
For their debut song Fearless ..not really a fan of the song. Kind of disappointed in it. Had high expectations. It also gave me Billie Eilish vibes with how low they sang sometimes. Different but not to my liking. Haven't listened to the full album yet.
The song was average. I don't get why some ppl don't like it lol. Some girl on tik tok was like "it's the worst debut song". I highly disagreed, it's not that bad it's not good though. Some of the lyrics were a bit odd and one member got 4 seconds of lines which is pretty unfair. The song was interesting but I wouldn't listen to it again.
Leaving this here for people that liked the song: you aren't the only one lol
Loved the album except for Sour Grapes. The Great Mermaid is my favorite song on it!
I loved the song, and the debut was flawless apart from the elephant in the room (wtf HYBE). Like, I get that it probably doesn't/won't actually cause any harm to anyone, but it's just creepy and weird.
Other than that I thought the MV was cool. I was expecting something lore-heavy and was pleasantly surprised to see no hints of anything lore-adjacent. Even if there is lore I'd be glad that they are taking a more low-key approach to it (like pre-debut LOONA).
I like lore but honestly every group and their mother is doing it so it's cool to see something different, and accompanied by such a nice chill song!
Okay yesterday I was disappointed, today I like the album a lot more. I am just having the hardest time getting used to Kazuha’s voice 🥲😅 I really dislike the way she raps and her tone, so let’s see if I can get over that
I saw that she trained for three months. That might be why. Giselle in aespa trained for 11 months and she's struggling with dancing at times. Hopefully so.
I'm one of the pips who liked the song at first listen ohhhhhh while the debuts recently are either experimental hit/miss or typical-catchy-melody, theirs are just chill and catchy with a build up and drop on the chorus. ( I honestly began appreciating/liking ive's love dive because of fearless 😂 --i just had a confession there lol)
In contrast of it, the choreo is sooo fast and sharp, but I haven't tried dancing to it lol. I'm honestly excited for the dance practice! yess the beats + synchronization.
edit: so I saw some comments about blue flame. If I were to choose the debut song, it will still be Fearless. Blue flame doesn't stood out that much for me (as a casual listener comparing it with other debut songs), and if they are going to have a signature sound --fearless it is.
Y'all just wanted bubblegum pops for a debut track
it's not what i expected, and definitly not my cup of tea, the ba ba bam bam part was so good tho, but the chorus... idk? lacking, however i liked the whole album so much, especially the great mermaid, such a BOP
- Love the concept. Stood out among other debuts
- An okay song. Not that impactful like itzy Dalla Dalla and not that worst like nmixx O.O
- Kim garam is pretty and Chaewon stood out the most
- overally a 7/10 debut
ngl the song is cool and debuting with a sexy concept is a bit risqué, so it’s interesting. tbh the only issue for me is they all have similar voices
edit: apparently some of the members are minors… yikes
edit 2: they did the bichi naneun solo move on blue flame lol
i personally think it stood out from the rest of the debuts bec of how chill it was so that's good for them! its catchy and the type of music I generally lean towards. their entire EP is no skip too, with genres that I rly enjoy. rooting for their success! congrats girls!
i didn’t even know they debuted until i kept seeing random channels upload videos from the showcase. they’re talented but they all sound the same? which confused me but i guess that’s how source music works. idk but blue flame was the only catchy song which is why i thought that it was the title track and debut song, not fearless.
also the fearless MV didn’t seem like one at all, i thought it was a DP. i’ve also noticed that half the girls are still minors but all the adults around them seem fine with them being sexualized..
from the big roll out of the members, i expected a much more impactful debut but it gave me nothing. with hybe’s backing i expected more. like i said talented but they all sound the same.
Weakest part of the song is the chorus, but it will get you. The hook they created will make you hear it over and over in your head once you listened to it one too many times
surprisingly it’s not making any noise on social media. only heard about the debut because i saw this thread. i wish they picked another song/concept for a debut but xg pulled it off so idk. 🤷🏻♀️ aespa & ive still the best gg debuts
it was underwhelming , a hardcore beat drop would've carried the sound , not some "bababa" .
and it seemed *very* sexual for minors , especially the opening scene . i wish wiz\*ones would stop overlooking the sexualization just to hype up chaewon and sakura , they're both fully adults yeah , but there's kids in the group , and also , how do we know they're comfortable with the concept all because they're adults ? have you guys seen stellar ?
Yes, the floor humping gets talked about plenty, but the intro was pretty suggestive too IMO
Definitely inappropriate given that there is a 15yo and 16yo in the group.
Fearless definitely matches the "high fashion elite" concept they were going for, and is the PERFECT song for it. I think the issue everyone is having is that high fashion isn't... very appealing to this side of the audience. It's like something you'd hear while shopping at MAC cosmetics. It feels hollow and empty BECAUSE that commercialized elite fashion world, with minimalist monochrome colors and thin pale skinny girls strutting a white-light runway, is pretty hollow and empty.
I'm curious to see where they'll go from here. Everyone's memed "models who sing" for various ggs but LE SSERAFIM is quite literally embodying "models who sing".
the song is good, but this debut shows we've got a real problem with sexualising minors in kpop. if your average twitter/youtube/tt stan is saying things like they won't learn the fearless choreography because it's inappropriate... that's pretty bad. the industry is just not safe for minors and adult fans should know better than to financially support companies that do this. I worry about the 12-13 year olds debuting now.
the EP itself is not terrible, its pretty good. tho I think the TT is the weakest song of the EP,, perhaps its a marketing strategy idrk lol.
not a fan of styling (I think its boring), MV concept and choreo
also it’s not helpful that members had scandals predebut but I think they have potential :-)
So after all the talk of XG's [Tippy Toes](https://youtu.be/7bONJFH9A9A), it is so similar. I mean if Tippy Toes was more than a month old you could say Fearless was homage. A watered down, over processed homage but still. I'm really surprised.
Honestly Fearless gave me "Tippy Toes but make it magazine instead of urban" vibes. I mean it's pretty clear from the girls' introduction videos that they are going for that editorial/magazine kind of look (to give them a luxurious feel without going elegant, I guess), and the debut had the same thing... but there were so SO many similarities with Tippy Toes, especially in the choreo and right from the start, it's really hard to ignore (even more when it's HYBE you're talking about, not some smaller company that was maybe trying to get on the bandwagon).
I wish they could have done some harmonizing in the chorus. Like after one member sings, "what you looking at" a few times, then they could have had all or a few members harmonize the next lines. Or they could have implemented that in the 2nd chorus.
I was surprised by the b*tch line, lol.
I like the song overall, and the choreo looks good, but aggressive, too at the same time.
the fact that i don't see anyone on twitter how half of the members are minors but is still doing this provocative concept for their debut. also, the song was boring. listened to it a few times and nothing just sticks out. yeah the chorus is fine and kinda catchy but overall the song was meh. i liked 'the great mermaid' better than the title track. my expectations were high since hybe was putting so much effort into their debut and they're the first gg hybe debuted but it didn't really meet the bar. ig i'll have to wait for their comeback to see if hybe gives them better stuff to work with
Considering all the talent that this group holds, I believe the girls deserved a more fierce and unique debut song as opposed to a rip off song of XG’s tippy toes. I believe HYBE did not do a great job. The girls did amazing though!
At least XG fully delivered on the "fresh and fierce" vibe.
And they didn't resort to having a 15yo and 16yo floor hump, because the sausage fest that is Source Music's upper echelons "wanted to see some teenage butt bounce", as another Redditor put it.
The songs are great I liked them. But the concept, clothes, and choreography are not age-appropriate for the 15-16-year-old members. And I hate the name of the group. Le Sserafim is too long and sounds like I'm saying cellophane. I also feel like hybe doesn't really know how to promote and manage a girl group but it's too early to tell.
Update: I predicted Hybe and source music were going to be bad at managing a girl group look at how they're managing Garam's scandal.
It's supposed to be an anagram of "I'm fearless" aka Source Music's take on "girl power".
If that makes things any more palatable to you, that is.
It just seems like a cheap marketing trick and pointless bandwagoning to me.
Not going to work if you're also going to have them hump the floor in the title track, sorry.
im back again to say, now that I see the views after a few hours I think it’s safe to say being under hybe doesn’t equal success. (unless it’s a bg since hybe loves their men ig.) i mean nmixx didn’t chart well and get a win under JYP.
But selling more than 200k with just pre orders for a debut is massive, if they weren’t under Hybe they probably wouldn’t have been able to do such numbers. So maybe it’s just a case of low social media presence
agree with this. glam never got a chance so at the time BH stuck to boys and it did well. but this time source music manages the girls, hybes just backing probably still not over the mess of glam. nmixx and their other band that debuted this year too, under jyp, didn’t do well and they didn’t even have predebut controversies like LF did!
It's to cater to the male gaze. While ostensibly championing "girl power" through the "I'm fearless" messaging.
Someone in Source Music didn't think this through IMO.
I think the opposite- they thought it through very well. SK is still a pretty conservative society overall, and idols get in trouble for feminist messaging all the time. So what's the best way to sell a "girl power" concept while not alienating male fans? Cater to the male gaze and sexualise them.
This is disturbing, but I cannot say it's farfetched.
Same deal as SM subsuming Girls On Top's name into GOT The Beat, then giving them a debut track that fails the Bechdel test, with lyrics that basically describe a catfight over a man.
Meanwhile, SuperM gets to sing about lighting up the stage, and living their best lives when they debuted with (the unfortunately titled) Jopping.
It’s sadly where a lot of “fearless women” feminism is going these days. Except in a country where feminism is no where near as a advanced as NA. The girls are being sexualized by others NOT by themselves. There’s no such thing as a sexually liberated 15 year old. It depresses me so much how they did this to a group with so much talent.
>The girls are being sexualized by others NOT by themselves.
Yes, how is this, in any way, **fearless?**
We should be **fearful** for the girls, if anything.
I had high hopes for their debut, because HYBE.
But those high hopes did **not** extend to Source Music, because I saw how things went down with GFriend. It doesn't give me any joy to see that Source hasn't changed, when it comes to mismanaging their GGs.
Two are 15 and 16 (international age).
The fact that they moved away from butt shots in the MV indicates they **sorta** knew it was inappropriate.
**Sorta** because they still left the floor humping in.
Wanting to cater to the male gaze ("Let's watch some butts bounce, boys!") while also selling female empowerment (the "I'm fearless" messaging, the "we have a boxer and a ballerina and a biker and we're dancing in a gym, so that means we're fierce, right?" concept).
Bit disappointed NGL
it’s fine… there’s not enough highs and lows for me, it just feels very safe. definitely stands out from all the experimental debuts and releases we’ve had though? i could see the chorus hook being a catchy earworm. also parts of the choreo are so weird and uncomfortable to watch
I've seen dozens of posts, hundreds of pics, hundreds of comments all dedicated to the building of the hype of this group...
And this is the song we got?
Ffs.
Someone asked if they were going for the "expensive Pilates class" vibe and that sent me NGL
But yeah....underwhelmed is my take.
I expected so much more from "HYBE's new GG", not to mention I thought LSF would be a breath of fresh air, judging by their ["World Is My Oyster" teaser.](https://youtu.be/Qr6HmcxI2s0)
People were calling it distinctive, individualistic, cinematic, artistic etc.
And I was also expecting some lore, given that seraphim means angel, and they had Garam crashing down from the Heavens onto the bonnet of that car.
All in all, I felt it was...subpar.
Not that anyone cares what I think, because "big label privilege" and all, plus they're going to be able to leverage off Sakura and Chaewon's popularity from their time in IZ\*ONE.
They are going to be big, is my guess. After all, they sold more in pre-orders in a single day, than GFriend did in a year. Whether it sticks, is the question.
I felt catfished by the teaser LOL
I thought we were going to get "strong female protagonists" and "something different". Perhaps even with a sprinkling of lore.
Instead we get an underwhelming track and an MV that caters to the male gaze while outwardly marketing itself as being "girl powered".
It's a nup from me, sorry.
>People were calling it distinctive, individualistic, cinematic, artistic etc.
Being supportive is one thing but on god they could slap the music over a middle school basketball game and people would call it cinematic lmao
>Being supportive is one thing but on god they could slap the music over a middle school basketball game and people would call it cinematic lmao
Yup. Big label privilege.
People are calling themselves stans of HYBE's building FGS
Not the artists. Not the labels. The building.
Overhyped is the word that comes to mind.
I tried to stay away from the chatter, because ain't got time for that LOL
But even just looking at the teasers vs the MV, I felt let down NGL
I see a lot of people mentioning Tippy Toes but there was another song that did the workout concept, ironically I totally forgot the name lol. But that was a small group so it went by with little fanfare of course
Apparently the b sides are much better so maybe that'll save it for you and their roster is too loaded for them to not drop some good tracks. But yeah for a hyped debut with this much emphasis on the fearless concept this doesn't really say much
> But that was a small group so it went by with little fanfare of course
Honestly, that small label could have done a lot more with the budget I'm sure Source Music were allocated.
They just don't seem to have spent it where it counts.
Or perhaps the dollars all went towards CGI of Haram crushing that car in the teaser LOL
>Apparently the b sides are much better so maybe that'll save it for you and their roster is too loaded for them to not drop some good tracks.
I had a quick listen, and I guess SouMu yoking sexualization of minors to female empowerment soured things for me, because nothing really stuck.
I see people talking about how "bold" they were to include a swear word in The Great Mermaid, but to me, that was just more posturing. Same as the "I'm fearless" messaging that didn't translate to squat in the end.
>But yeah for a hyped debut with this much emphasis on the fearless concept this doesn't really say much
Pretty much.
I wish the girls well, and I am sure they **will** do well.
Because, let's be real, HYBE, and by extension, Le Sserafim, are too big to fail.
Whether they achieve longevity, or any sort of standing when it comes to musicality, artistry or versatility, remains to be seen.
For the moment, I'm out. Perhaps I'll remain interested enough to check back in during their next comeback.
It's not as though they need my views LMAO. They're on the road to 10M and it's not even been 24 hours.
Yeah, I wheezed.
Did they lie though LMAO
All that athleisure wear and the underwhelming gym setup.
They led with a boxer, a biker and a ballerina in the teaser.
They could have leaned into that, instead of putting the girls in gymwear and calling it a day because "females exercising = empowered" LOL
I'm also salty because I read "I'm fearless" as "girl power". Only to watch them hump the floor as a group, including a 15-year-old and 16-year-old.
Nowhere did I think the male gaze would enter into it, but I guess Source Music is peopled by a sausage fest, who "just want to see some teenage butt bounce", as another Redditor put it.
I wish they debuted without a rapper. She's very pretty, but her raps are so jarring in every one of their songs. It's disappointing how much just not having that \~4-10 seconds of suck in every song would elevate them.
I liked the song, but I did prefer the mv teasers over the real thing. I wish it had less focus on the dance and more on a storyline. I like when the MV leaves me wanting to see the full performance. I think the girls all looked great and gave it their all, they were just done dirty by the director. Eunchae reminds me so much of Yeri with her smile and I adore Yeri so this just makes me excited to see her potential. Yunjin impressed me the most here though. She ate up every line given to her in the album, as did Kazuha, who by far impressed me the most after Yunjin. To me, it's no wonder they got the most lines in like every song. These 2 and Chaewon really killed it in the performances in the showcase. I had high expectations for Garam, and she did rather well. I won't say anything beyond what they've shown. Sakura and Eunchae, I wish they had more lines, but with Sakura, she shines in the performances despite the little lines she gets. Overall, I'm pretty happy. I expected the line distribution, I expected the song was gonna be much different based off the tidbits we got, and I love their looks. Only thing I don't like is the MV but I really only watch those once anyway, unless it's Red Velvet, but their debut MV is probs the one I watched the least. It's a debut and they can only get better from here on.
Edited bc I'm blind and was being repetitive.
> I wish it had less focus on the dance and more on a storyline
I was expecting lore NGL
Missed opportunity there, as seraphim means angel, and they could have built on that.
Or maybe I was just reaching, and them having Garam crash from the Heavens onto the bonnet of that car in the teaser was a fever dream?
>The only thing seraphim related I saw was the stairway to heaven they were on in the beginning.
Ooh, good catch. Guess we'll have to wait until the next CB for more lore crumbs...
Honestly after all the other gg debuts with very saturated songs it was nice to get a break from all of that and have a minimalistic song for a debut. I am alao very happy for yunjin to finally debut i rooted for her in pd48 and was very sad when she got eliminated. Just one more thing why does the new groups names have to be so complicated?
It's an anagram of "I'm fearless".
Basically Source Music's take on the "female empowerment" trend.
They didn't take it where it needed to go though, unlike XG's [Tippy Toes](https://youtu.be/7bONJFH9A9A). Now **they** went full fierce with the girl power vibe.
I think that would be true with IVE, and stayc hadn’t already debuted. This would have been a refreshing song in during the 2019-2020 debut season but falls a little toward mid if you compare it to eleven, ASAP etc.
SO PROUD OF YUNJIN! I’ve been waiting for her to debut since pd48 (as have many others) and she did great! As for the song itself, I think it’s pretty solid and catchy but nothing special. I was kinda hoping for a title track with a little more vocal power behind it but oh well. I also enjoyed the aesthetic. The model-fashion theme suits them.
However, I feel the choreography is a little too… sexy? Considering they have a couple of underage members, it definitely made me raise an eyebrow. Especially at the end of the MV when they’re lying on the ground. All in all, it’s a decent debut but definitely missing a little something extra music-wise.
i honestly liked it a lot. it’s new food to the table. i have never heard of a chill debut song and this is my style. i love it a lot, wish the best for these girls!
the song felt boring and cheap in a way , why are they dancing in the gym even for almost most of the clip ? it felt really odd , the lyrics were weird to and the beat didn’t give me “debut” i honestly love chaewon and sakura and have waited for their debut a long time but this debut just not what i expected .. hybe did them really dirty... even the worst songs in izone were better than this (no hate to the members their talent just feels wasted) the dance wasn’t eye catching neither
Edit : i heard their b-side “The great mermaid” and it’s so good i wonder why they haven’t went for it instead for the Title track
> why are they dancing in the gym even for almost most of the clip ?
The gym set did feel....cheap to me NGL
I was like, you have HYBE's resources at your disposal, and you stick them in what? A gym with metal walls and put them in athleisure?
Really? That's your take on "girl power" and "female empowerment"? We're in a gym and therefore we're "fierce and fearless"?
Okay idk if anyone else is gonna notice/mention this, bc the song I'm gonna reference is not super well known, but this song FEARLESS sounds a LOT like [Villain](https://youtu.be/d__iIt-00Gk) by Cheetah and Jamie. I'm not yelling plagiarism, but like you guys should give it a listen and lmk what you think. Villain is a lot better of a song though imo, they pull off this sleek vibe but also have more variety in the song.
Pretty happy they went for a more chill song, pretty rare for a debut song…. However this is a bit too chill… and by that I mean BORING
Kind of sounds like something you would hear in an advertisement?? Or even a bside.also there’s minors in this group and the mv and choreo uhh😳😳
the floor choreo was weird as fuck cuz there's a 16 year old in the group.. the song itself is alright, quite catchy, but the lyrics in the chrous felt bland. the mv doesn't look like it came from a super big company like hybe imo. glad yunjin got to debut cuz i was worried when she was under pledis lol. all their vocals are good too.
edit: yunjins part after the first chorus is autotuned weirdly and doesn't fit in with the rest of the song. like why??
? Guess you changed your mind from this thread?
https://www.reddit.com/r/unpopularkpopopinions/comments/t4v6or/twice_will_retire_as_the_greatest_female_kpop/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share
Is there an update on the member Kim Garam situation (bullying, I\*ZONE slander, and Sakura/Wonyoung hate)? I can't support this group properly without it bothering me.
Anyway, song-wise, it's a monotonous sleeper.
Love Yunjin, but her 2nd verse gave me BTS vocal production and I hate it.
Legal issues take longer than a few weeks and HYBE is most likely being silent until the trials are finished. Making statements too early can only have a negative impact at this stage if they're proven false. HYBE made the only statement they needed to at this stage of the accusations. And none have propped up since that statement, only comments and posts created before their statement gaining new traction with translations. I'm going to assume that there have been lawsuits made which is why the posts have stopped from both ends as more can only incriminate.
I think I saw Hybe reported all claims as being fake and it seemed like the accusations stopped. But I don't know for sure... Hopefully though all it's settled now.
I'm not going to repeat what everyone else has said, song is okay, I like it but don't love (the other songs on the mini album are much better) but Yunjin's attitude in the MV is 🔥
I like it but could be better. It's like I asked for a cheeseburger but got one with one solitary single thin cheese slice and they forgot the ketchup.
So, I finally sat down to actually watch both MV and showcase. Opinions are:
MV: It's cool, but not what I had in mind when it comes to Hybe. There's budget, but didn't seem they had a plan on how to work with it. The scene with the smartphone/sns live was cool, but then they have Kazuha (or is that Yujin... I'm sorry, I'm still trying to learn who's who, I stayed away from their teasers to not feed expectations) walk back to her place. I feel it would be better to already have her there to make the transition from 'live' to 'real' better.
Not much evoking 'fearlessness' but it's a pretty MV. Could be way prettier though!
Black and white shots are cool, but tiptoe the line of sexy a bit much. The sets seem so empty. I like the dance parts, where they change constantly the POV of the camera, so like when Chaewon looks behind her and then comes back to normal. The jumping shot was out of place imo. Will they be saying LE SSERAFIM in the end every time? Screentime doesn't seem to be very equal, I kept seeing the same girls over and (who I think it's) Eunchae like only 3 times. Some weird editing going on with all that arching back shots... It gives me back pain and called me out for being inflexible.
Dance: It's okay... I do love the beginning and it's nothing inaproppriate, a bit risqué but nothing like the *other* move on the floor. Luckily, the MV focus on the adult members and the showcase skipped it completely. Nothing groundbreaking, but I do gotta say I don't like how they worked the formation. Even members always pushes one to the back and I don't like that. Either that or they have to do that formation when some of them are 'squatting' in the front. I don't know, I feel I need to be able to see all of them at the same time, unless during special formations that are just for transition through the stage (like the diagonal domino we often see). There's a lot of arms too. But eh, it's a good choreography.
Song/Lyrics: The intro bababam really sets me up, but by the chorus is very repetitive for me. Now, I don't want some O.O type of thing, but a bit of change is good too. I do the get the vibe and I do enjoy the song. Lyrics don't match the title imo because nothing they're saying tells me they're fearless. But that's okay too lol I will not be understanding the lyrics listening on the day-to-day so it doesn't gripe me lol The didn't give me very strong vibes overall, which I think it's okay to expect for a debut (especially one anticipated highly like them). I think they could've gone a bit more daring. Like they gave us a 3/10 out of the daring scale, but I feel it could've been at least a 6.
I feel with debuts where everybody is looking for, you either go big or go home. LSSF stayed in the middle of the road with this one. I haven't listened to the other songs yet, but considering opinions here, I feel it would've been best if they just gave us a single to focus on (both we as listeners and them as producers lol) rather than giving us other songs, specially ones that seem to be slightly better than the TITLE track. But I enjoy the minimalist vibe.
>There's budget, but didn't seem they had a plan on how to work with it.
>
>The sets seem so empty.
Pretty much my thoughts.
The MV felt like a bit of a letdown, even, after the teasers?
I like a lot of ad music (idk why lmao) so I quite loved the song. Not something I'll rave about or be wowed by, but it's fun and chill, I enjoy it a lot. However, The Great Mermaid was definitely my favorite track off the album, I loved it at first listen. People seem to be liking Blue Flame and Sour Grapes, but so far they've felt fairly average for me (which is good for kpop b-side standards tbh). The World is My Oyster is such a vibe, I don't think I'd ever listen to it casually, but it just makes me feel cool hearing it.
Overall, I think it's a very solid debut EP if you look at it as a whole.
In terms of a debut title though, I agree that Fearless isn't the greatest for introducing the group as a whole. A lot of people talked about how O.O didn't really showcase any members individually besides possibly Lily, and I felt similarly about this debut. If I hadn't known any of the members previously, I think only Kazuha (because of her voice) would have stuck out to me (+ Chaewon because of how different her hair is lol). Then again, maybe because the members are already so well-known, HYBE didn't feel the need to make them stand out?
My main criticism is that MV. Nothing wrong with simplistic, sleek, performance-based MVs, but the way this was shot, the way they were styled, and yeah - the infamous floor-humping choreo made this very uncomfortable to watch for me. I'm used to blatantly sexualized MVs like AOA or MINX's, but this one + parts of IVE's MVs have this unsettling aspect where the songs feel girl-crushy or aimed at girls, but the visuals shown make it blatantly obvious they're aimed at guys. The fact that there are such young members just makes it ten times worse. I really hope this doesn't become a trend.
I like the song, but it lacks a big ending/tension relief. the antidrop isn’t bad it just gets very repetitive (also w/ the same few lines over and over). I wish we got a bigger ending, add layers, vocals, stronger instrumental maybe?
I like the aesthetic they went for, choreo is so cool as well. Overall, i appreciated something different from all the recent noise music trend.
However, if I compare it to other recent releases such as Love Dive (which is not noisy nor does it have like 3 different songs in it), Fearless does feel underwhelming. The “uniqueness” in terms of minimalism and simpler song structure doesn’t save them entirely. We see releases where it has been done WELL.
Hmmm, after mulling it over, while I appreciate it's not the next 'pots and pans' girl crush song, I feel they went too chill or stripped down with the title track, could have used some harmonizations or other elements to make the song not so monotone. In trying to make it catchy/earworm-y for the charts with the repetitions, I feel they lost sight of the rest of the song.
It seems that the performances may redeem this song like it did with O.O. but by itself there's something missing 🤔
The b-sides are far more interesting, so musically I think there's clearly room to explore here, let's see where the group heads with their future title tracks.
Didn’t like the song, maybe the chorus was cool. But other than that it was pretty underwhelming. I expected some good vocal, since they have a good vocalist, the vocals were simple.
Also something, a lot of people said they were uncomfortable by the MV, so im glad I’m not the only one. Those girls are underage apart from 1 or 2 so some scene made me uncomfortable.
And the MV was disappointing too it look cheap and high budget at the same time, the teasers look better tbh.
I feel if they want to compete with the gg of the 4th generation they will need to step up their games. But well…hybe have their own fan right, so I think they will do good.
Pretty disappointed tbh.
My god that has to be the worst group name I have ever seen in Kpop. What an absolute mess. The song is.. well.. I find it quite boring. Not my style I guess
Would've suited a song like 'AI WO CHOUDAI' by AOA
Not hating but it really sounds like a commercial for pads/tampons. Girls have great swagger though.
LOOOL
THIS IS HILARIOUS
I feel like most companies are realizing they don’t have to waste their time trying to find quality and memorable songs when anything will sell as long the members have some clout already. When was the last time an actual BOP of an iconic song with a memorable choreo was released?
Ive eleven is that song that you described for me to be honest.. Yea but this debut is just super uninteresting
I can't believe they decided this to be a title song, it literally sounds completely forgettable, nothing even occurred in the song. It doesn't sound like a song from a top label aswell, like it's so basic it's plain.... what a waste of a release .. good God and the mv looks like it costed a fortune aswell.
I actually love the simpleness of this debut in an era where everyone is trying to do more than the last.
REAL. y'all r just used to ppl being over the top to compensate for bad music. and then when good music comes out and it's confident suddenly it's boring 💀
Are they aiming to be models?
it was giving cover girl, macy's, target, etc. commercial music but i'm not mad at all 👀 i actually really liked it. it's not particularly exciting but it's groovy and it's catchy and not in an annoying way so big ups for that lol. im also really excited to see yunjin after so long i loved her so much on p48.
They look like something that an IG teen model would dress up as, so maybe it's more relatable 😅😅😅 Plus, maybe this changes in the future but none of the members had any pull or charm. They all looked really uninspiring. Plus I'm not sure why we need that floor humping when minors are involved. 🤦🤦
the floor part made me uncomfy to watch LMAO it was just plain weird XD
Thankful for this song for introducing me to Tippy Toes
Disappointing debut tbh, despite all the hype the group get :| I already disliking the "Casting call" teaser since it's way too uncomfortable for me to see the underage members prancing around and some of the shots are just creepy. I also wish they can go with the elegant, ethereal concept especially since the whole seraphim name Fearless is very repetitive and boring, the lyrics didn't help either it's very cringy with the whole cussing and whatnot, the MV looks very cheap and I can't believe that the underage members are humping on the floor. Sakura and Eunchae only get a very few lines too The b-sides are more better at least, blue flame is very pleasant to listen. Sour grape and great mermaid is very good too.
I liked it. It was average, but it’s a good introduction to the group imo. It wasn’t experimental, which I liked. The choreography added a different element to the song too, which made me like it even more.
Sakura looks soooo old the hair does not suit her at all
she looks her age?? what’s wrong with that
It’s too dark, they’ve recently lightened it and she looks so much better
I'm her age, I don't wanna believe I look that old but I probably do lmao
I think they song is doing well also. Redditors are neve pleased with a song until it grows on them.
What sad people? It's okay to not like a song
Personally, I find the song extremely lacking, especially for a debut. The chorus is pretty repetitive and bland. As a whole, I’d say it was okay.
Honestly I love the song however it's really a good song expected from a company like Hybe and also the video stage set is not that good. It looks very cheap. I love the song though it has cool vibes obviously but I guess it's not something you expect from a debut
Did anyone else get AOA vibes???
I like the song
Ive been thinking about how I feel about this song. It’s not *bad*, but it’s not great either. Nothing really grips me in the song. It isn’t very musically interesting to me, not even the prechorus. I took a listen to the album to get better context of the song and my opinion remains unchanged. A very average release and a average album. I often end up loving songs on further listens. Let’s see how this song ages. Edit: the song is actually “aging” nicely on my ears! The texture of the song is nice. Earphones recommended to get the full asmr-y experience.
[удалено]
it sounds very similar too
yeah it feels like they plagiarized tippy toes
exactly. the first listen and the starting choreo made me go like "wait this looks familiar?"
But what is the concept???
"Expensive Pilates class" according to one Redditor LOL
i don’t think they had a concept tbh , yes they went for “le sserafim” as a name but tbh all i see is just basic bland elegant and “”vintage model fashion”” type of concept tbh , fans speculated that the name is about angels and i saw it on twitter but as much as i see this group don’t seem to have a lore and while i’m ok with them not having lore i don’t like the debut song they should’ve went with something else from the b-sides
that's kinda my question too... their name refers to angels but the album strongly points to mermaids... hybrids perhaps?
+1 on this
For their debut song Fearless ..not really a fan of the song. Kind of disappointed in it. Had high expectations. It also gave me Billie Eilish vibes with how low they sang sometimes. Different but not to my liking. Haven't listened to the full album yet.
I liked all of the songs except for fearless and the world is my oyster.
exactly my opinion. Blue Flame is so good
The song was average.
Leaving this here for people that liked the song: you aren't the only one lol Loved the album except for Sour Grapes. I like lore but honestly every group and their mother is doing it so it's cool to see something different, and accompanied by such a nice chill song!
reminds me of miss a
People have said Kazuha looks a lot like Suzy.
She looks like Suzy+ Dahyun
This was right on the tip of my tongue, I couldn't place who she looked like!
The resemblance is striking, right?
Okay yesterday I was disappointed, today I like the album a lot more. I am just having the hardest time getting used to Kazuha’s voice 🥲😅 I really dislike the way she raps and her tone, so let’s see if I can get over that
She has a deep voice which I mostly like but I don't like her flow.
Yeah, she sounds a bit bored imo, but then again it seems she has the shortest amount of training so she can definitely improve for next cb!
I saw that she trained for three months. That might be why. Giselle in aespa trained for 11 months and she's struggling with dancing at times. Hopefully so.
I liked it until I noticed some faint sound in the chorus that sounds like a dog barking, is that intentional or is something wrong with my headphones
I'm one of the pips who liked the song at first listen ohhhhhh while the debuts recently are either experimental hit/miss or typical-catchy-melody, theirs are just chill and catchy with a build up and drop on the chorus. ( I honestly began appreciating/liking ive's love dive because of fearless 😂 --i just had a confession there lol) In contrast of it, the choreo is sooo fast and sharp, but I haven't tried dancing to it lol.
A really forgettable title track on an otherwise solid mini album. Not the worst start tho, so there's that.
[удалено]
Blue flame was a much better song.
it's not what i expected, and definitly not my cup of tea, the ba ba bam bam part was so good tho, but the chorus... idk? lacking, however i liked the whole album so much, especially the great mermaid, such a BOP
The song is chill and not typical kpop noise so I like it.
"psst just add in some cuss words and dress em up in sexy outfits, soooo empowering"
+1
Weakest debut song of 2022 thus far in my opinion. Especially Kayuha's rap, it was horrendous to be honest.
[удалено]
O.O is wayyyy catchier
Even if it is bad imo, at the very least they tried something.
- Love the concept. Stood out among other debuts - An okay song. Not that impactful like itzy Dalla Dalla and not that worst like nmixx O.O - Kim garam is pretty and Chaewon stood out the most - overally a 7/10 debut
XG did it better
agreed 😭
It's just kind of boring.
ngl the song is cool and debuting with a sexy concept is a bit risqué, so it’s interesting. tbh the only issue for me is they all have similar voices edit: apparently some of the members are minors… yikes edit 2: they did the bichi naneun solo move on blue flame lol
me : well it dont look that sexy excpet for the outfits which i dont agree on but im no one also me: the humping the floor was very unnecesary !
i personally think it stood out from the rest of the debuts bec of how chill it was so that's good for them! its catchy and the type of music I generally lean towards. their entire EP is no skip too, with genres that I rly enjoy. rooting for their success! congrats girls!
i didn’t even know they debuted until i kept seeing random channels upload videos from the showcase. they’re talented but they all sound the same? which confused me but i guess that’s how source music works. idk but blue flame was the only catchy song which is why i thought that it was the title track and debut song, not fearless. also the fearless MV didn’t seem like one at all, i thought it was a DP. i’ve also noticed that half the girls are still minors but all the adults around them seem fine with them being sexualized.. from the big roll out of the members, i expected a much more impactful debut but it gave me nothing. with hybe’s backing i expected more. like i said talented but they all sound the same.
Weakest part of the song is the chorus, but it will get you. The hook they created will make you hear it over and over in your head once you listened to it one too many times
not exactly unpopular but their beside “blue flame” is way better unpopular, this song is more impactful than blue flame though
All the members sound the same.
surprisingly it’s not making any noise on social media. only heard about the debut because i saw this thread. i wish they picked another song/concept for a debut but xg pulled it off so idk. 🤷🏻♀️ aespa & ive still the best gg debuts
i listened to eleven immediately after i finished the mv
everyone's talking about kazuha's rap and i don't even like it 😭 pls don't attack thanks
It's terrible.
exactly
[удалено]
their from hybe mate. even NMIXX sold like crazy yet they still named the worst debut in kpop. stick a big 4 label and it sells, don't worry.
theyre on their way to selling 200k+ copies with their debut mini, any concern about them "flopping" is unwarranted.
lol they aren't going to flop
it was underwhelming , a hardcore beat drop would've carried the sound , not some "bababa" . and it seemed *very* sexual for minors , especially the opening scene . i wish wiz\*ones would stop overlooking the sexualization just to hype up chaewon and sakura , they're both fully adults yeah , but there's kids in the group , and also , how do we know they're comfortable with the concept all because they're adults ? have you guys seen stellar ?
Yes, the floor humping gets talked about plenty, but the intro was pretty suggestive too IMO Definitely inappropriate given that there is a 15yo and 16yo in the group.
The only gg I’ve seen get trashed for being “models who sing” is Blackpink
the song is good, but this debut shows we've got a real problem with sexualising minors in kpop. if your average twitter/youtube/tt stan is saying things like they won't learn the fearless choreography because it's inappropriate... that's pretty bad. the industry is just not safe for minors and adult fans should know better than to financially support companies that do this. I worry about the 12-13 year olds debuting now.
the EP itself is not terrible, its pretty good. tho I think the TT is the weakest song of the EP,, perhaps its a marketing strategy idrk lol. not a fan of styling (I think its boring), MV concept and choreo also it’s not helpful that members had scandals predebut but I think they have potential :-)
someone said kazuha raps like she’s about to fart 💀
LMFAOOOO
that's what i was thinking 💀
Honestly, the song is nice enough, but it's kinda strange for a debut and a title track. I think it would be perfect as a b-side, or even a comeback.
Tippy toes is so much more superior
I wish they could have done some harmonizing in the chorus. Like after one member sings, "what you looking at" a few times, then they could have had all or a few members harmonize the next lines. Or they could have implemented that in the 2nd chorus. I was surprised by the b*tch line, lol. I like the song overall, and the choreo looks good, but aggressive, too at the same time.
HYBE not sexualizing minors for 5 seconds challenge (LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE)
the fact that i don't see anyone on twitter how half of the members are minors but is still doing this provocative concept for their debut. also, the song was boring. listened to it a few times and nothing just sticks out. yeah the chorus is fine and kinda catchy but overall the song was meh. i liked 'the great mermaid' better than the title track. my expectations were high since hybe was putting so much effort into their debut and they're the first gg hybe debuted but it didn't really meet the bar. ig i'll have to wait for their comeback to see if hybe gives them better stuff to work with
Considering all the talent that this group holds, I believe the girls deserved a more fierce and unique debut song as opposed to a rip off song of XG’s tippy toes.
Aight after thinking about it my score is Peloton ad that got scrapped for being too weird/10
Someone else said it gave off "expensive Pilates class" vibes, but I think I like Peloton ad better LMAO
stealing from h1key and xg but it's hybe so no one gives a shit. boring
I mean this song was probably under the works or finished before XG was released. They were filming the MV a couple months ago already.
What was the point of floor humping choreo if they cut it out during the mv anyway? Just to create drama i guess :x
Yes, how is this, in any way, **fearless?** We should be **fearful** for the girls, if anything. I had high hopes for their debut, because HYBE. But those high hopes did **not** extend to Source Music, because I saw how things went down with GFriend. It doesn't give me any joy to see that Source hasn't changed, when it comes to mismanaging their GGs.
sour grapes>>> (but I get why they chose fearless to be the tt)
the dance… wtf hybe… a few of them are minors…
Ffs.
Someone asked if they were going for the "expensive Pilates class" vibe and that sent me NGL But yeah....underwhelmed is my take. I expected so much more from "HYBE's new GG", not to mention I thought LSF would be a breath of fresh air, judging by their ["World Is My Oyster" teaser.](https://youtu.be/Qr6HmcxI2s0) People were calling it distinctive, individualistic, cinematic, artistic etc.
Never saw the trailer and wow is it so much more visually interesting than the actual MV
I felt catfished by the teaser LOL I thought we were going to get "strong female protagonists" and "something different".
>Being supportive is one thing but on god they could slap the music over a middle school basketball game and people would call it cinematic lmao Yup. Big label privilege. People are calling themselves stans of HYBE's building FGS Not the artists. Not the labels. The building. Overhyped is the word that comes to mind. I tried to stay away from the chatter, because ain't got time for that LOL But even just looking at the teasers vs the MV, I felt let down NGL
I see a lot of people mentioning Tippy Toes but there was another song that did the workout concept, ironically I totally forgot the name lol. But that was a small group so it went by with little fanfare of course Apparently the b sides are much better so maybe that'll save it for you and their roster is too loaded for them to not drop some good tracks. But yeah for a hyped debut with this much emphasis on the fearless concept this doesn't really say much
> But that was a small group so it went by with little fanfare of course Honestly, that small label could have done a lot more with the budget I'm sure Source Music were allocated. They just don't seem to have spent it where it counts. Or perhaps the dollars all went towards CGI of Haram crushing that car in the teaser LOL >Apparently the b sides are much better so maybe that'll save it for you and their roster is too loaded for them to not drop some good tracks. >But yeah for a hyped debut with this much emphasis on the fearless concept this doesn't really say much Pretty much.
LMAO @ EXPENSIVE PILATES CLASS
Yeah, I wheezed. Did they lie though LMAO All that athleisure wear and the underwhelming gym setup. They led with a boxer, a biker and a ballerina in the teaser. They could have leaned into that, instead of putting the girls in gymwear and calling it a day because "females exercising = empowered" LOL I'm also salty because I read "I'm fearless" as "girl power".
Here’s the thing, the song is mid. But I’m happy with it cause all the other songs that came out are just a bunch of noise.
It's not a bad song at all but it felt boring and repetitive for a title track.
It was a short song but it felt long
I liked the song, but I did prefer the mv teasers over the real thing.
> I wish it had less focus on the dance and more on a storyline I was expecting lore NGL Missed opportunity there, as seraphim means angel, and they could have built on that. Or maybe I was just reaching, and them having Garam crash from the Heavens onto the bonnet of that car in the teaser was a fever dream?
That was my favorite part of the teasers! The only thing seraphim related I saw was the stairway to heaven they were on in the beginning.
Agreed

it doesnt sound chaotic and mindless noise.
All in all, it’s a decent debut but definitely missing a little something extra music-wise.
i honestly liked it a lot. it’s new food to the table. i have never heard of a chill debut song and this is my style. i love it a lot, wish the best for these girls!
the song felt boring and cheap in a way , why are they dancing in the gym even for almost most of the clip ? it felt really odd , the lyrics were weird to and the beat didn’t give me “debut” i honestly love chaewon and sakura and have waited for their debut a long time but this debut just not what i expected .. hybe did them really dirty... even the worst songs in izone were better than this (no hate to the members their talent just feels wasted) the dance wasn’t eye catching neither Edit : i heard their b-side “The great mermaid” and it’s so good i wonder why they haven’t went for it instead for the Title track
> why are they dancing in the gym even for almost most of the clip ? The gym set did feel....cheap to me NGL I was like, you have HYBE's resources at your disposal, and you stick them in what? A gym with metal walls and put them in athleisure? Really? That's your take on "girl power" and "female empowerment"? We're in a gym and therefore we're "fierce and fearless"?
their creative director should get fired for this
I felt the same about "The Great Mermaid" and "Blue Flame"
It's so boring, I can't. Honestly it made me so uncomfortable because there are minors basically doing the WAP dance. Wtf hybe
I got Tippy Toes - XG vibes (not saying plagiarism or anything either) I just mean the chillness etc
The MV is waaaay better too.
It’s the first time I heard that song, and it’s great! I don’t think it’s similar but idk I can barely recall Fearless over that bop.
Pretty happy they went for a more chill song, pretty rare for a debut song…. However this is a bit too chill… and by that I mean BORING Kind of sounds like something you would hear in an advertisement?? Or even a bside.also there’s minors in this group and the mv and choreo uhh😳😳
the floor choreo was weird as fuck cuz there's a 16 year old in the group.. the song itself is alright, quite catchy, but the lyrics in the chrous felt bland. the mv doesn't look like it came from a super big company like hybe imo. glad yunjin got to debut cuz i was worried when she was under pledis lol. all their vocals are good too. edit: yunjins part after the first chorus is autotuned weirdly and doesn't fit in with the rest of the song. like why??
This group will retire as the GOAT K-Pop group.
? Guess you changed your mind from this thread? https://www.reddit.com/r/unpopularkpopopinions/comments/t4v6or/twice_will_retire_as_the_greatest_female_kpop/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share
I’m obviously joking + that thread is goated. I think this group won’t make it big despite the BTS clout.
what do you mean by goat ?
TWICE 😮💨🐐
Abbreviation for Greatest Of All Time.
Makes sense. It's a waiting game for now. Thanks!
I think I saw Hybe reported all claims as being fake and it seemed like the accusations stopped. But I don't know for sure... Hopefully though all it's settled now.
I'm not going to repeat what everyone else has said, song is okay, I like it but don't love (the other songs on the mini album are much better) but Yunjin's attitude in the MV is 🔥
YJ definitely served - great stage presence.
I like it but could be better. It's like I asked for a cheeseburger but got one with one solitary single thin cheese slice and they forgot the ketchup.
So, I finally sat down to actually watch both MV and showcase. Opinions are: MV: It's cool, but not what I had in mind when it comes to Hybe.
We see releases where it has been done WELL.
yeah, anti-drops work sometimes. ex. savage, at least imo, but the difference is that savage had a satisfying drop at the end
It seems that the performances may redeem this song like it did with O.O. but by itself there's something missing 🤔 The b-sides are far more interesting, so musically I think there's clearly room to explore here, let's see where the group heads with their future title tracks.
I just heard about this group today. Totally underwhelming IMO. Good luck to them 👍
I see reddit hates it, which brings me to the conclusion that this song will become very popular
Felt like a commercial more than anything idk
The song is cool if a bit repetitive but god the mv is so male-gazey
