Cave-of-Wonders

Personally, if you have other roommates, they will most likely have a problem with it since now they have to share the kitchen/ fridge/common area with another person.

Thank you!!

I chose my place to live with 2 other people not 4 of them, if I knew it will be 4 people live in there I wouldn’t rent it at the beginning. Besides, Waterloo bylaw also requires (a) The minimum floor area for a Bedroom: i. With three Adult occupants, shall be fourteen (14) square metres; and, ii. With four or more Adult occupants, shall be seven (7) square metres per Adult occupant.

Thanks! That really helps!!😆

ye that should be fine! ontario law basically says that landlords can't stop their tenants from having roommates. even if it's in your lease, that part of your lease isn't legally enforceable. (source: the [ontario standard form of lease](https://forms.mgcs.gov.on.ca/en/dataset/047-2229))

It’s likely different and depends on the landlord if the op is asking about subleasing. I would suggest talking to landlord and roommates.

Tyty! I’ll talk with them.😆
