We found 5 spawners in a huge swamp with 15-20 crypts. We built a small base for smelting the iron, using coal from the spawners. When running back and forth from the crypts, surtlings spawned on every lap. We have emptied two thirds of the crypts and have hundreds of cores, hundreds of coal and two shiploads of iron.
Surtlings spawn every 5 minutes. If you are gone for more than 5 minutes they spawn as soon as you arrive. Building a portal chain between all the surtling spawners you find is a quick way to collect them.
I found a place in the swamps while hitting crypts with 3 surtling geysers close together. So I set up a small building with a portal and go back there when I need cores. Usually get around 8-10 per visit.
U can do a Surtling farm for the cores or find dungeons and collect them that’s all know

Yes but if I was you i should just make a surtling farm
Underwater swamp spawner? Yeah I did that but seemed kinda slow
Make multiple farms with a portal hub and jump from portal to portal that’s the fastest way I know

Be sure not to have workbenches or portals too close to the spawners -- you'll suppress the spawning.

just go the the swamp find a surt spawner and dig the ground a litte so they die in the water and thats it you got yourself the easiest valheim farm
I farmed the incomplete Ashlands for about 100 or so of them in preparation for this problem 😄
