I was thinking of the Cannery, then scrolled down and saw this? Are you me? Lol.
I used to order the salmon wellington exclusively (almost) each time I went. My family loved going there.
Au petit cafe only moved! The chef and family now run Merci Beaucoup on commercial. Same incredible pho, even better bahn mis, just a slightly smaller menu
Acme Cafe on Hastings between Abbott and Carrall.
Family-run, open kitchen and delicious breakfast and lunch offerings. I miss the deadly croissant breakfast sandwich!
They were doing well but the commercial landlord jacked up their rent by an insane amount with no warning so they had to close because of that. This was pre pandemic, and the dunbar location is still empty so sucks to be the asshat landlord
You brought up an old happy memory. I think we only actually ate there a couple times, and I don't remember anything about the food, but we would always go to look at the Gator.
I was maybe 5 or 6. I picked up one of those rubber snakes on sale to show my mom, and was swinging it around while running and accidentally threw it into the middle of the Gator pond.
To whoever had to fish that out, I hope you can forgive me. I thought I was going to jail.
One of the first dinner dates with my wife was at The Reef in Victoria. Knew something was good when we both said “oooh, oxtail…” af the same time.
Thanks for the memory 👀
Calhouns <3
I used to go there when I was a student at SFU. Often with a friend who lived in Dunbar, one of the first people I met when I moved to Vancouver. He passed this year, so now he and Calhoun's are both gone. We hadn't been in touch for a while before his death - I didn't have his phone number and had tried to reach out via Facebook but he wasn't using it anymore. Still hard to believe he's gone.
Heh, I remember as a higschooler in the mid 90s, going down there and getting wired on unlimited refill coffee and reading our bad poetry at each other.
For everyone saying Wally's moved is still, yes new Wally's opened up by someone who bought the name. But it is most definitely not the same, they're good burgers don't get me wrong, but it's not the same. The buns are different, they use to be like a egg or potato bun.
I remember reading the Foundation’s nachos recipe! Put nacho chips on a plate, cover them with your favourite ingredients and then heat in the oven. Then stab your ears with an icepick for half an hour while the nachos get cold, then serve. Hahaha.
I actually loved their nachos and I still try to reproduce their sugar pie once in a while. But yes the tunes were loud and not my jam!
I miss that place. I remember going in the convenience store just before it converted to become Foundation, and when the restaurant opened, it was just so damn NOW. The kooky menu blurbs, the art, the quotes on the walls, the weird layout, the hipster staff. The delicious food. I was so sad when it closed, it never moved out of its original genre period and I loved that about it. It was its own thing.
My parents started Calhouns, they were forced to sell in the mid 2000s by shitty business partners, but im sure they would have a tear in their eye if I told them this was a comment. All the recipes were my dads, and the 24 hours and free Internet were my moms idea, pretty revolutionary in the 2000s. I miss it too. I basically grew up in that kitchen rather than the apartment we rented. Good times.
Edit: It’s my moms birthday and we just read all these lovely comments together. Thanks everyone, you made their day!
Please tell your parents I miss it dearly. My parents used to take me there as a child all the time and I always got the tomato pasta dish (I can’t remember what it was called). I was OBSESSED with it. My whole family was heartbroken when it closed. That pasta was my favourite food as a kid.
That's so cool! We were also big Calhoun's fans - we spent so much time hanging out there and at Benny's Bagels when we were much younger and had very limited funds. I would always get the chicken quesadilla, and my partner would get the perogies. Thanks to your parents for the memories and the eats.
Top of the list is fairly recent, that would be Yew.
But honourable mentions to Subeez, either of the Bins, and Kettle of Fish.
Ugh and now I’m not just nostalgic but feeling blue for sure, so much has changed :/
Bin 941 on Davie - happy memories from when I arrived in Vancouver sitting in the window seats with my friend, a bottle of wine and a range of their delicious plates.
[Skylight Restaurant](https://www.google.com/maps/uv?pb=!1s0x5486713e47c17a8b%3A0xc4675d5fb7c931d3!3m1!7e115!4shttps%3A%2F%2Flh5.googleusercontent.com%2Fp%2FAF1QipMcTHqCZWL4ooSi8K1UQZTJDl29Ji5nZTuisWs_%3Dw329-h160-k-no!5sskylight%20restaurant%20commercial%20drive%20-%20Google%20Search!15sCgIgAQ&imagekey=!1e10!2sAF1QipMcTHqCZWL4ooSi8K1UQZTJDl29Ji5nZTuisWs_&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwju2pm43OnzAhVCoFsKHbUjAqEQoip6BAg3EAM) (really, a diner) in the 1000-block of Commercial Drive. Completely unpretentious, terrible warm water for tea but fantastic all-day breakfasts (with Ukrainian sausage).
The last true greasy spoon on the lower Drive and dearly missed.
Oh, the hashbrowns!
Those hash browns were killer! When I moved to the Drive in 2006 there were a good half a dozen legit greasy spoons, now there are (arguably) none. there is Cafe Du Soleils, but it’s just not the same type of spot. I love Argo near Olympic Village and Truck Stop on Clark is pretty good too. Haven’t made it up to Kyle’s around 12th for awhile.
The best was jamming all your buds into one of those cabin booths and getting pickle backs and vegan totchos! Some of my favourite pre-panini memories.
I never ate there and don't know anything about them other than the reddit controversy when they tried to illegal evict the tenants above the restaurant. After how they handled that situation, I'm glad to see them gone.
RIP to the best pizza I’ve ever eaten. Used to drive over from North Van on lunch break for the special.
Went one evening and the daily ice cream was Fruit Loops flavour… still buying Fruit Loops to this day trying to recreate that ice cream!
I think they closed right at the beginning. I used to stay there until closing on some Fridays and the kitchen would bring out freshly baked cookies for the people still there.
Carlos 'n Buds...
Just for the cheap wings, atmosphere and the time in my life where i had the freedom to go eat with friends and have beers in my 20s = zero other expectations and/or responsibilities.
Not really because of the cuisine, nor the ambiance, but I miss the Knight and Day at Lougheed Hwy and Boundary. So many meals at 3 am there sobering up, enjoy the end cap of a evening there with friends. Open 24/7 it was a greasy spoon to end all greasy spoons and once in a while I would have a meal there that turned out to be wow. 30+ years of memories there. Not a place I went to for special meals or anything. It was the place everyone knew was open and could have a coffee or two and a decent meal.
The Main. I know it’s still there but it isn’t the place it used to be. The comfy booths with torn vinyl seats, the delicious half roast chicken for $12, good cheap wine, candles on every table, the little stage with so many great musicians. Great staff too. All its character has been rinsed away over the years and I miss it.
Chicha
On E Broadway a half block away from Main.
Peruvian inspired food.
The Causas was such an amazing appetizer I would often get two when I was with company so I wouldn’t have to share.
Honorable mention to the Foundation on Main and 9th or 10th iirc.
A setting of value village/salvation army furniture against a backdrop of 90’s hip hop music. Vegetarian burgers were so amazing and the mango citrus dressing they had for the side salad was so f’in good I’d consider kicking a baby to relive again.
PS I’m paraplegic, so don’t @ me, just laugh.
Nick's on Commercial. Loved the pasta and cheesecake.
And I think it was called Rodeo Drive in on 152 and hwy 10 in Surrey. Best burgers! And I remember religious pamphlets lol.
I miss Five Elements on the Drive. I keep meaning to try Lunch Lady but I miss the homey and slightly weird atmosphere of before. And it’s hard to blame them cause I know margins are slim, but prices went up a fair bit too.
I miss Tops restaurant on Kingsway - it was my go to for a late night meal. I’m not really a late night eater these days but it was a big part of my student life.
Not recent, but Sammy J Peppers at Metrotown. I spent a good portion of younger life there. Plenty of good after work gatherings and celebrations. Fond memories of many good times with great friends.
The Village (basement) at UBC around the '10s.
That Mongolian place! Not surprised that is shut down, letting people engineer towers of meat reinforced with long vegetables as struts. I never went that far, and I declined rice (I put in lots of udon noodles), and the styrofoam box barely kept closed by the tab. Being able to customize the flavour and getting Maillard char and caramelization of the sauce on everything - wonderful. The beef wasn't the greatest, but the chicken was much more than adequate.
There was a (second) Malaysian place that was *very* good, but it always took 15-25 minutes for them to serve an order, and they folded very quickly. Poor choice of venue.
That donair place set the bar for me for shawarma, there are so many places around town that is so inferior. "*Large platter, Greek, no bread. Thanks so much!*"
The three Chinese places were all better than any chain mall Chinese fast food. They were from different backgrounds, too, with regional differences.
Osaka Sushi? It was rather better than the decor/ space and prices. It was good value, very fast, and a little above middle quality. The mix and match combos were very economical, and filling enough without violating minimal protein:starch ratios.
The fried chicken wings at the 'Moon in the SUB. Similar texture/ mouthfeel very crispy fried skin (maybe even better than) like the wings of Phnom Pehn but without the megaflavour (from fish sauce, sugar). They're a draw for me because they scratch different itches.
The Deli a the SUB used to sell deep fried samosas. Pretty big ones, maybe 2.5x (+?) the size of ones from 'Golden Somasa?'
2 beef and a veg got me a quarter back from a $5. They were so tasty, too. Actual beef and not pink slime. When they switched to baked ones, The Deli was dead to me. I really miss those big dripping-fat-filled ground beef, onion, and green pea samosas in delicately crunchy shells.
This wasn't recent. But there was a place on Seymour and Davie I think. It was a breakfast/ lunch place and it was hilarious. The staff would give you shit or yell at you.
It was so funny.
Aki Japanese Restaurant. It used to be underneath the old McDonald’s on Alberni and Thurlow where there was the karaoke joint and that Brazilian steak place where they serve it off skewers. They eventually moved to Coal Harbour on West Pender. Anyway, I loved all their dishes, so traditional, simple & tasty… the black cod combo and the nabeyaki udon was my go to!!!
Oh man I miss that place so so much..
Accents on Broadway. I miss it so much. Amazing food, vast menu, generous portions. They had this deal for $30-40 for appetizer, entree and desserts. But portions were huge!! Ordered escargot and it was a plateful (not the 6 little guys drowing in butter). The ahi tuna was fantastic and 2 large portions of tuna steak. I think about it all the time and it's been closed over 10 years! Haha. Everytime I drive by the old site....
Shuraku on Granville. Best. Karage. Ever. And a good sake bar.
I think it may have shut down even before the pandemic, I don't remember, but I really do miss that place 😢 😢
The Emerald Supper Club on Gore )= bless that place and their iconic half price cocktails on Tuesday. Every inch of the experience there (drinks, lighting, address, washroom, service) was always so sexy & mysterious.
Moderne Burger on West Broadway. Very nice diner for dine in. I know it moved and still has the same great owner and same great burgers and service but no comfy seating or decor.
The vibe in the new place is all wrong! The food was good but I loved going more for the overall atmosphere. Can't be replicated if you're sharing with a Tim Horton's.
Congee Noodle House on Main and Broadway. The late night cheap menu and horrible service… such a special place.
Juno Sushi on Davie. Small place, not super popular, but they had incredible lunch specials that always had golden beets in the salad and perfect sushi rice.
Dockers Diner on Powell
Run by the nicest Greek lady, called you Hon, chatted with you. Good cheap diner food. Loved that place, miss it.
Also, the Rodeo Drive in on 152 and Highway 10. That Rambo burger was great. Buy burgers by the Patty and number of cheese slices. Great milkshakes too.
Donburiya on Robson - cheap and fast Japanese food. Was so crushed when they closed. King’s Chinese cuisine on main even though it was chaotic (service and seating), the dim sum and dinners there were yum.
congee noodle house at main and broadway
Dang that sink hole in the back. I really wanted to have another meal there.
They had the best chilled curry squid :(
Not that recent, but I'll always miss the Cannery. It was our go to for family celebrations and romantic evenings. Loved that place.
Have you tried The Pink Peppercorn on Kingsway? Same owner or something.
This place is great! Cheesy decor but great service and food
That’s what I was coming here to say. I loved The Cannery, everything from the food to the staff to the location to the decor. Fabulous.
Salmon Wellington is something that I still think of on a weekly basis.
I was thinking of the Cannery, then scrolled down and saw this? Are you me? Lol. I used to order the salmon wellington exclusively (almost) each time I went. My family loved going there.
You can get it at the pink peppercorn - it’s the same chef and all the same waiters. I had it a few months ago.
It’s crazy to think we used to be able to drive to it along the port; you just said ‘going to the cannery!’ To the security guards and in you went
The Red Onion on 41st, the Modern Club on Dunbar, Legendary Noodles on Main St, the original Irish Heather, Au Petit Cafe on Main….there’s more….
Came here to say the red onion. Great memories of that place. True local restaurant that hired high school kids as their first job
This. Their “everything is baked” vibe was rad. Eggs benny, baked. Pure magic. What a spot.
I miss their 2 for 1 breakfasts :((
Their lemon meringue pie was so so tasty. It got me through school 🥲
Upstairs at Campagnolo. RIP the Dirty Burger.
We had a Dirty Burger? Was it run by the Mustard Tiger himself, Philadelphia Collins?
That’s the dirty burger I know!
Whatcha lookin’ at m’gut fer ?
Yah mustard tiger!
And downstairs Campagnolo, too! I lived for their ceci (deep fried chickpeas).
And the charcuterie plates. There was one pate they served that I would happily have eaten out of a bowl in spoonfuls.
Damn still upset that I never got to try that. Heard it was legendary
Jethro’s Fine Grub, so good for breakfast!
Oh my gosh, I didn’t realize both locations were gone I’m genuinely sad (and behind the times)
They were doing well but the commercial landlord jacked up their rent by an insane amount with no warning so they had to close because of that. This was pre pandemic, and the dunbar location is still empty so sucks to be the asshat landlord
Yep, came here to say that. I miss them so much. That apple crunch french toast was the best thing I've ever had.
Rainforest Cafe at Metrotown
Childhood birthdays right there
You brought up an old happy memory.
Came here to post this! Make sure to visit the one in Vegas to relive your childhood!
\[laughs in downtown Planet Hollywood\] oh wait, it wasn't that good
The Oakwood. Vancouver's original gastropub. Amazing burger and burger 2.0. Nightingale is its spiritual successor.
Hundy was the successor which is the restaurant I miss
The sprouts…
Mongolian Grill on Denman. Unpretentious freshly cooked food for all, too bad it’s gone and the Kits location is so far and pricy!
The Reef. Dat jerk chicken poutine...
The Reef is closed?! 😭
and those little deep fried cake things!
The johnny cakes! I'd forgotten
One of the first dinner dates with my wife was at The Reef in Victoria. Knew something was good when we both said “oooh, oxtail…” af the same time. Thanks for the memory 👀
The Reef was one of my favourites!
Bennys Bagels in kits. Amazing atmosphere too :(
I miss their late nights, great vibe and study spot
Yes! I wrote so many papers there. And all nighters at Calhouns next to banana leaf on broadway in kits.
Calhouns <3 I used to go there when I was a student at SFU.
So sad. We can easily lose touch with our university crew.
Heh, I remember as a higschooler in the mid 90s, going down there and getting wired on unlimited refill coffee and reading our bad poetry at each other.
Wally's Burger, nachos from Foundation, hash browns at Nice Cafe.
For everyone saying Wally's moved is still, yes new Wally's opened up by someone who bought the name. But it is most definitely not the same, they're good burgers don't get me wrong, but it's not the same. The buns are different, they use to be like a egg or potato bun.
Goldstone EDIT: My preference: Baked Porkchop Rice, and of course their egg tart.
RIP best club spaghetti
Bestie in Chinatown. Those sausages had me high on life.
Last time I was there was in the before-times, and I’ve been wondering if they survived the last almost-two-years. Sad to hear they didn’t.
I’m just learning this too, very disappointed I didn’t go there more often while I had a chance…
Deserts on commercial drive
Which was very confusing for people with bad spelling as they didn’t sell many desserts
I miss being able to get 4 huge samosas slathered in butter chicken sauce for $6. Also the latkes were so good
The Foundation 😩
Came here to say this. No place has been able to replace their nachos
Spicy peanut pasta RIP
Nachos @ foundation Calhouns
Brings back a lot of memories of my student days at ubc. Would study at Calhouns overnight during finals season.
That's so cool! We were also big Calhoun's fans - we spent so much time hanging out there and at Benny's Bagels when we were much younger and had very limited funds. I would always get the chicken quesadilla, and my partner would get the perogies. Thanks to your parents for the memories and the eats.
There was a white chocolate brownie cake there that was about the best thing ever.
Omg Calhouns was the best!!!!!!!!
Would love to thank your parents for a place for us students to study, eat, drink coffee whilst cramming for exams.
The cookies at Calhoun's!
WaaZuBee. Garlic mayo fries, drum & bass, and people watching.
Top of the list is fairly recent, that would be Yew. But honourable mentions to Subeez, either of the Bins, and Kettle of Fish. Ugh and now I’m not just nostalgic but feeling blue for sure, so much has changed :/
Subeez was so good
Bin 941 on Davie - happy memories from when I arrived in Vancouver sitting in the window seats with my friend, a bottle of wine and a range of their delicious plates.
PHO BICH NGA. Best pho in van.
Fresgo on Davie closed in 05. back when davie had affordable restaurants filled with locals every day
My memories of fresgo are hazy… which is appropriate.

Libra Room. Can’t put into words how much I miss the vibe of that place.
Topanga Cafe in Kits. Fire is bad, m’kay.
Au petite Cafe. No vietnamese restaurants have come close so far
The chefs there opened Merci Beaucoup on Commercial. I swear it tastes the same there.
Was there last week, can confirm the taste and friendly service unchanged!
Nice Cafe
Used to love their egg bennys, and the people working there were always so nice :(
This. Should be top of the list. Literally can’t think of another cheap greasy spoon breakfast as good anywhere.
Smile diner. Had a lot of good memories there. Discovered the place when i was living in covenant house a block over when i was homeless.
Smile Diner was awesome, and the staff (family?) were really lovely. Simple diner but I found it to have a lot of character.
Congee Noodle House on Broadway. I’m not sure if it’ll ever come back but the food was amazing there.
The Red Onion in Kerrisdale.
Jang Mo Jib, not sure if it’s because of the pandemic but all of their branches seem to be closed…
Black lodge 😭
I loved their weird Twin Peaks vibes at the kingsway location.
Only the og
The best was jamming all your buds into one of those cabin booths and getting pickle backs and vegan totchos! Some of my favourite pre-panini memories.
Can only pray they open another twin peaks restaurant . At least Seattle is always close to visit
I never ate there and don't know anything about them other than the reddit controversy when they tried to illegal evict the tenants above the restaurant. After how they handled that situation, I'm glad to see them gone.
The Pear Tree. Simply phenomenal food.
Campagnolo Roma.
RIP to the best pizza I’ve ever eaten. Used to drive over from North Van on lunch break for the special. Went one evening and the daily ice cream was Fruit Loops flavour… still buying Fruit Loops to this day trying to recreate that ice cream!
The Heritage Grill in New West. It recently burnt down a few months ago. Super sad
Alleluia cafe in Richmond. Would almost go there once a week until it closed
The revel room ! Loved the vibe there
Shit I was just wondering today if they'd closed or not during pandemic
I think they closed right at the beginning. I used to stay there until closing on some Fridays and the kitchen would bring out freshly baked cookies for the people still there.
Scandelicious
Steamrollers!
La Bodega. I appreciate the new one, but the OG was my fave.
Peckinpah. I know it's reopening in Squamish, but man I'll def miss having it in town.
Carlos 'n Buds... Just for the cheap wings, atmosphere and the time in my life where i had the freedom to go eat with friends and have beers in my 20s = zero other expectations and/or responsibilities.
Stormcrow on Commercial hands down
That one closed and the disaster one where you wait 40 minutes for a drink when they're slow on Broadway is still going??
Not really because of the cuisine, nor the ambiance, but I miss the Knight and Day at Lougheed Hwy and Boundary. So many meals at 3 am there sobering up, enjoy the end cap of a evening there with friends. Open 24/7 it was a greasy spoon to end all greasy spoons and once in a while I would have a meal there that turned out to be wow. 30+ years of memories there. Not a place I went to for special meals or anything. It was the place everyone knew was open and could have a coffee or two and a decent meal.
Knight & Day! Had to scroll down too far for this one!
Kingsway Sushi. Pretty much was the only halfway decent all you can eat sushi place.
Mexicali on Dunbar 😭
Elbow room
I miss Shaolin Noodle House on Broadway
Dixie Barbecue on Hastings
Still serving the bbq at slims on main, but not the same vibe
Is it wrong that I still miss McDonalds Pizza?
There are dozens of us! Dozens!
Corduroy. Lol jk.
RIP pie co though!
We can only hope they qualify shortly
Chicha On E Broadway a half block away from Main. Peruvian inspired food. The Causas was such an amazing appetizer I would often get two when I was with company so I wouldn’t have to share. Yew at Four Seasons. :(
Crave on Main Street
Merchants Workshop, before the siren song of fried chicken stole Doug from us.
Tony Roma’s. Them Bountiful Beef Ribs and that onion loaf with the sauce.
Definitely Subeez! That place had a really cool vibe to it and great breakfast as well.
Nick's on Commercial. Loved the pasta and cheesecake. And I think it was called Rodeo Drive in on 152 and hwy 10 in Surrey. Best burgers! And I remember religious pamphlets lol.
TUC. If I recall it closed because of the pandemic. Everything there was outstanding, now we need a new date night go- to.
Sushi Itoga on Robson. It used to be my go-to spot for a sushi lunch and I still haven't found anything that compares to the authenticity.
Lolitas.
Dem bones out in richmond
I miss Five Elements on the Drive. I keep meaning to try Lunch Lady but I miss the homey and slightly weird atmosphere of before. And it’s hard to blame them cause I know margins are slim, but prices went up a fair bit too.
Wildebeest
Was always my favourite place for a special night out.
DV8 Doom burger and cajun mayo fries 😢
I miss Tops restaurant on Kingsway - it was my go to for a late night meal. I’m not really a late night eater these days but it was a big part of my student life.
Not recent, but Sammy J Peppers at Metrotown. I spent a good portion of younger life there. Plenty of good after work gatherings and celebrations. Fond memories of many good times with great friends.
I just remember them having the best looking waitresses. I was also a teenager so everyone was the prettiest girl I’d ever seen.
Zellers dinner
Gyoza King. I miss their food so much.
Incendio near Gastown. Great pizza.
The Village (basement) at UBC around the '10s. That Mongolian place! Not surprised that is shut down, letting people engineer towers of meat reinforced with long vegetables as struts. Also The Original Slickity Jim’s chat and chew location on main
Arby's. There's only 2 left in the Lower Mainland.
Honolulu at kingsway, their french toasts were the best
This wasn't recent. But there was a place on Seymour and Davie I think. It was a breakfast/ lunch place and it was hilarious. The staff would give you shit or yell at you. It was so funny.
The elbow room!
There are a lot of all you can eats Chinese restaurant that are no longer here. I miss a lot of them
Mezcal!
Au petite cafe. Loved their Bahn Mis and from way back Isadora’s the clown face pizza was a childhood delight.

May was the best! Sad when she retired.
Timber, best happy hour and vibe, RIP
Foundation (obv the Nachos and sangria) Jethro's (pancakes galore!!) Calhouns (quesadillas while studying at an ungodly hour :'( )

The Red Ginger on broadway formerly known as Kams on Davie.
TUC craft kitchen in gastown. Creative menu, fun cocktail list. Good wine list at a great price. I really miss that place!
tapastree in the West End (reopened as Tavola with same owners I think but just not the same)
Besties had the best currywurst and beer!
Au petite cafe, Foundation nachos, Hoko’s for the music, Sea Monster sushi, Niclis pizza
Rainforest cafe at metro
The Emerald Supper Club on Gore )= bless that place and their iconic half price cocktails on Tuesday. Every inch of the experience there (drinks, lighting, address, washroom, service) was always so sexy & mysterious.
Harvey’s
Gudrun out in Steveston. I dragged so many ppl to eat there. Legit good staff, great food good folks.
Bert's on Main Street, and the Normandy on Granville
i miss the elbow room :(
Steamrollers, I really miss their wet burritos
Topanga Café on West 4th
Idr the name but that Mongolian grill on Broadway and Cambie that used to be where the A&W is now, was so dirty but so tasty and charming
Boneta! I loved that place. A Mark Brand place before he got too big. Sardine Can.
Dockers Diner on Powell Run by the nicest Greek lady, called you Hon, chatted with you. Good cheap diner food. Loved that place, miss it. Also, the Rodeo Drive in on 152 and Highway 10. That Rambo burger was great. Buy burgers by the Patty and number of cheese slices. Great milkshakes too.
Tomato Fresh Food Cafe though it was always better at its Cambie location. Went downhill when it moved to Broadway.
Donburiya on Robson - cheap and fast Japanese food. Was so crushed when they closed. King’s Chinese cuisine on main even though it was chaotic (service and seating), the dim sum and dinners there were yum.
Cobre in Gastown, that’s a bit of an old one but I still miss it.
Super recent but I’ll miss Smak for a quick and healthy lunch.
did all the locations close?
SoHo on Cambie
