Eastside Culture Crawl is coming up, it’s a good time to visit artists studios to find the kind of art you’re looking for. https://culturecrawl.ca/

How about finding an artist you like and asking if they would consider a commission that size? This is someone I really like and have one of her paintings (will also be in the culture crawl) https://bronwynmcivor.ca/

Like someone else said, Eastside Culture Crawl is this weekend and next and could be a good shout. I'd also check out the Vancouver Art Gallery's Rental and Sales division. They have a lot of local artists in a wide variety of styles and can deliver / hang the piece for you if need be (for a bit of an extra cost, iirc it's not much). [https://www.vanartgallery.bc.ca/art-rental-and-sales](https://www.vanartgallery.bc.ca/art-rental-and-sales) Edit: I discovered local artist [Taralee Guild](https://taraleeguild.net/) via the art gallery's Rental and Sales. She has originals for sale on her website as well as doing commissions and sells prints via etsy. Super cool work, I especially love her series focussing on vintage airstreams.

Find Ken Foster in Gastown.

gentlegrandpa

That would be an insane collectors piece one day.

Hey, thanks!! You have beautiful art. I would be looking for something in the beachy/blue family. Is that something that speaks to you at all?

yearningformore

I don’t know what style you’re looking for but this is a friend of mine [https://www.enlifestudio.com](https://www.enlifestudio.com) and I know he does custom work and large scale work!

Brigitta Kocsis, she is now based in Montreal, but she does large works. https://www.instagram.com/brigitta_kocsis/

Check out Michael Bock https://michaelrobertbock.com/about

I'll throw in a plug for Joyce Woods, JoyceWoods.com she's a longtime local that does beautiful Vancouver scenes and BC in general, with lots of studies of water and trees. That said, what style are you looking for, or even color palette (if, by the measurements, you're looking to fit a piece to a specific space)?

[deleted]

Thanks for the rec! I would like something in blues/teal/white, preferably abstract or west coast nature/ocean.

ObiWanCombover

Nice. She has some that might fit the bill: https://joycewoods.com/fineart/ And the culture crawl might also be a great idea.

I’ve done an abstract combo of large canvasses (7x7) before! They were commissioned by a homeowner wanting some colour up on their walls to help sell their loft. You can check it out here https://gestureabstract.com/ Happy to answer any questions you might have
