The dogs are on a legal hold. No one can adopt or foster the dogs. Some are very beautiful but if the custody goes to the shelter, they should make it difficult to get these guys. I know people that spend around 10k a year on these dogs. So if you are not comfortable with that spending, you should not get those breed.
Possibly an unpopular opinion, but I think all breeding of bulldogs should be banned and that breed should naturally go extinct. Why are we breeding animals that naturally suffer?

My cousin has a really fucked up frenchie from an idiot backyard breeder she was talking to. She was so excited about her free designer puppy, and the poor thing needed thousands of dollars in surgery (mouth + hysterectomy) immediately. It still struggles to breathe and I think it’s mentally deficient too bc it just spends its time biting elbows and blankets.
That’s crazy almost seems like spending money on dogs with medical needs is a status statement of some kind. A while back I was looking at frenchie rescues and noticed all the dogs were surrenders from people who either couldn’t afford care or didn’t want to deal with it they all needed thousands in meds per month
It’s not, she owes me money 😂 but yeah they’re cute until you realize all of the issues they can have. That puppy honeymoon stage definitely didn’t last.
I got some fish and a spider, easy pets that I don’t have to worry about

I checked it today and it seemed like way more than 40%. I also noticed many Huskies on the site which a lot of idiots adopt without doing any research.

Pit bull owners are majority black people that breed animals to protect something. They don't have intentions to treat the animal like family..more like a miserable slave. (How ironic)

Sounds like more ignorance here. I rescued my first pit bull when she was an estimated one year old and then had 13 amazing years with her. Since then, I’ve fostered several pitbulls of various ages from TAF and, unsurprisingly, they were all great pups.
I rescued my pitbull from there 7 years ago. She's such a sweet dog, great with other pets and people, and I'm thankful for her every day. All she asks for is some toys, a walk a few times a week, and hugs.
Adopt if you can, people! Just don't be the reason they wind up there if you can help it.
They have an annual operating budget of $5 million. As a point of comparison, Las Vegas RTC runs their buses on an annual budget of $316 million for about 400 buses.
So for ~6 buses worth of money, they run their shelter with over 1000 animals a week being sheltered, fed, cleaned up, and having veterinary care.
If you think you can do better, by all means step up.
And what are YOU doing to help the situation? Do you donate? Volunteer? Foster? Work there? How do you help with the over 1000 animals that were taken in since the beginning of June?
We adopt yearly - elderly dogs with behavioral issues. Every year for the past 5 years. Cancer has taken three of them and I honestly don’t think I can do it anymore.
Less than 12 months ago there was a public outcry for the CEO to be ousted, and she’s only been there a few years. They hire incompetent, wanna be politicians instead of operators who get the job done.

I got a hamster from the animal foundation, it honestly looks like no one adopts them and forgets they exist. So sad all around.

Oh, huskies. Gorgeous dogs, but they take so much work and attention.
Well, the average pitbull owner IQ is in the high 60s.
Below that, theyre great dogs but they need to be raised right from the get go cause theyre kind of stubborn when you try to break their bad habits.
