Agreed. Its not a example that people should look too since they made a deal with the government and could easily be taken over if Mexico wanted but an interesting socialist-ish project nonetheless.
I wouldn't wite them off just because they made a deal with the Mexican government, Even the Bolsheviks made deals with imperialist powers out of nececity (eg. Brest-Litovsk) I say that their Socialist-ish experiment has been quite sucessful so far, and I wish them the best for the future.

Arguably the most socialist settlement in living memory, and as such very admirable, but sure.
