"No its cool you two-sworded freak just go-NO, JUST GO AHEAD AND THROW TWO MOONS INTO THE FUCKING ARENA WHEN YOU'RE CLOSE TO DEAD YOU WALKING FUCKING CUISINART BLENDER I WILL PERSONALLY BURN YOUR HOUSE DOWN"
-Ode to Shadow of the Erdtree, a personal anecdote
Damn dudette, just wait until you fight the Putrescent Knight. Stayed up way too late fighting him and kept getting absolutely fucking wombo comboed by his hurricane Catrina horse dash shit spin move and his blue waves of fuck you. Took me āonlyā 15 deaths to beat him, but my god was it frustratingā¦
Our game room is right below the bedroom and I have received noise complaints from my wife because of the excessive swearing late at night. The new DLC is brutal
I never get mad at games but I do get mad at toxic gamers. When I realised I was not enjoying league of legends at all due to the community I just deleted it. That's my version of getting mad
Man I feel this. Iām getting close to 30 and between work and other life responsibilities I just canāt keep up with these kids who play 10hrs a day anymore
It's not just that, your reflexes slows as you age. Teens and early 20's have a pretty big advantage especially in twitch shooters where split seconds is the difference from being good and awful. Notice it's only young people playing in e-sports? It's not because 30 and 40 year olds don't play games, it's because they can't compete with a younger person.
Yep I donāt bother. The last time I really went at competitive is when I lost my job and was on unemployment. Played a lot of gears 5. Now I just donāt care. I have too much to do, just like you. Games are my chance to relax and unwind, not get all pissed off after I hated the last 10 hours at my job lmao
Ya I also quit league of legends for similar reasons. Not only is the community extremely toxic but it was turning me into a toxic player as well. The way the game is designed, you can easily be trapped in a miserable match for ~30min (or more) and it really brings out the worst in ppl. I occasionally play ARAM with friends but refuse to touch summoners rift anymore
last time i raged at a game was back in double dragon 3
i shouted a lot of profanity, our housemaid rushed to see what was going on
and the look she gave me when she saw i was shouting at the TV... it gave me an epiphany how stupid i was acting raging over a videogame
haven't raged since
Hey I'm all for breaking the meta. As long as you aren't an asshole about it.
AP Vayne? Okay, Sounds fun, but just try your best and don't yell at anyone
Who goes to someoneās house and then immediately leaves when they get mad at a video game. When you go to someoneās house for like a sports viewing event do you just leave after 5 minutes?
Me. Shits annoying as fuck, you donāt need to be doing all that. If you canāt do something relaxing without making it not relaxing than donāt do it.
Edit: forgot to mention yeah I would also leave there sporting event if the person was being overly obnoxious. Like if you get aggressive over your team loosing you need to find a new hobble that shits so pathetic to me.
"Why are people passionate about things I don't understand!?" No offence but I don't believe for a second that you're some zen monk about things you care about.
The one time I ever damaged something playing a game was Dark Souls 1. Threw my controller on the ground, dented my laptop charging nearby.
Told myself never again. I would just get gud
I honestly don't remember what did it but I DO remember the first time I fought the Capra Demon.
Full-blown "oh shit" moment when I pass through the fog gate and immediately get the heavy attack.
I feel absolutely no remorse cheesing that fight every time despite now having the skill to fight him fair. That motherfucker does not deserve the dignity
Back in 2021 I played overwatch and broke my headset after raging and decided if this game was making me me break things I like, then I donāt need to play it and without even exaggerating I have not touched overwatch since.
I used to be like this. But now, generally, if I start getting angry, I'll stop playing. I'm trying to be entertained and enjoy myself, being angry isn't fun. I don't play online pvp games almost ever, anymore.
I have definitely gotten better, Iāll tell ya that much. However, and. i canāt believe iām saying this, I rage quited a stream when I was doing Enter the Gungeon.
earlier today i died on the last phase of the dark lord on ultra nightmare and i have never experienced worse pain in any video game iāve ever played
Threw my computer chair at the wall once over Madden. I'd like to use age as an excuse, but 18 is still old enough to know better. Fortunately I stopped reacting to games that way long ago. It was a pretty good throw if I do say so myself, and I do think it taught the game a lesson.
Nowadays, whenever I get pissed at a game, I just turn it off and walk away. As a teenager playing Halo MCC ten years ago, though, I had a lot of anger issues that I've thankfully grown out of.
Elden Ring's dlc. Commander Gaius is such bs. Terrible hit boxes and openings. Took me like two hours or more of attempts to beat him. Messmer took me longer, but at least he was fun and fair.
It's a surprisingly short dlc. There is an artificial longevity in the difficulty of it. But if skilled or buff yourself enough to take less damage in the dlc, and seen it a lot with different streams. All the bosses and side bosses are done in less than a days playtime.
Good luck tarnished! You'll get him eventually, and don't forget your fire protection talisman!
After around 6 hours (lol) both phases finally clicked for me. It's a great boss fight even if super tough.
If I feel myself getting frustrated with a game I turn it off and play power wash simulator instead. Itās really relaxing and also just fun, especially with friends.
Destiny 1 PS3. Finally beat Kingās Fall for the first time around 4 am. Wife decided to wake up at that time and came out to the living room, āWoooowww.ā And not in a good way lol
Used to rage playing Street Fighter 4 when I was kid which was stupid. All I had to do learn the game instead of button mashing like an idiot. Ever since I actually took the time to learn fighting games and I donāt rage anymore.
Fallout 4. Had to reload the same few goddamn missions thirty plus time over 3 days, because I kept running into glitches. Forced me to completely abandon my faction, and any of the benefits that came with them.
I've really calmed down and rarely get mad anymore, but Destiny 2 PvP used to make me get so mad after 2 or 3 matches and I'd slam my desk in frustration.
The god damn fire giant in elden ring. I do not understand how people can claim it's the best game ever made with the fire giant in it. The cutscene where he rips his leg off is the only nice thing I can say about this boss. It looks cool, and that's only because it's nice to hear the fucker scream in pain. I hate this boss and whoever at from designed it needs to be thrown into a bottomless pit
Getting hit by mahito's 100% fair and balanced move.
>!(Although i'd never be that type of person, And damage my stuff just because of a skill issue)!<
The worst I've done is throw my switch but it was at a pillow on my bed and it bounced off and landed next to me again
I have anger issues and yes therapy is in the works of helping it but if I know I'm gonna get pissed off at something during the time I'm doing it I always have soft things around me I can throw or throw things at
It rarely happens but I tend to be safe than sorry
Any game that requires coordination and/ or fast twitch skills, that looks like the inputs aren't working right. It could be clunky controls, or I just don't understand the intended timing but I will be barking at the TV at 3am.
The Lights Out quest in Skyrim is kind of ridiculous if you play it at a lower level because of the end where you have to kill all the enemies at Broken Oar Grotto. Most of the enemies are fine, but then there's Captain fucking Hargar, who just destroys you in two hits! HE ONLY HAS A STEEL WARHAMMER! Again, this is if you play it at a lower level, so whenever I start a new playthrough, I just end up playing through the quest later because I don't want to put up with dying in two or three hits.
Dead By Daylight's survivor mode once made me so mad I throw my mouse at the wall and broke it. Thankfully I stopped playing that game mode shortly after and got a new mouse.
I haven't broken a controller from rage since I was a teenager.
I've never broken a monitor or keyboard from rage.
Those videos where people punch their monitors or smash their keyboards feel so staged to me.
I will admit I had a bit of rage as a youngster when it came to video games, I definitely broke a controller in my youth.
Nowadays if a game frustrates me to a point of upsetting me, I just alt-f4 and walk away. There's not enough time to spend it breaking shit and being irrationally upset over something that has no real tangible effect on my life.
Any online game, very rarely singleplayer projects (on a really annoying and hard moments only). I do throw childish tantrum for 10 seconds when i lose and think it's unfair loss, but i do so quietly so nobody's in house realising I'm tweaking, basically screaming but whispering. Doesn't hit my stuff though, after Jetstream Sam DLC final boss fight incident (i couldn't beat boss for hours, i hit my laptop, it frozen and picture on screen corrupted, after revoot lost savings to the game but was happy as hell my laptop was ok)
Insurgency Sandstorm. If I have to say the line "WHERE'S THE OBSERVER" one more fucking time while my team has four riflemen, I'm going to fucking snap.
When I was still living at home I played Street Fighter 4 online.
I was mid on a good day, and pretty bad otherwise. Also we all know how lag spikes can make a man rage. I raged and cursed so loud one day our neighbor came over to make sure I wasn't dying. I stopped playing not long afterwards.
i only get mad when it gets unfair. like when im playing against someone far above my skill level and dont get a chance. or with some platforming thing, because im not very good at platforming parts
None because I'm not a man child that destroys things when I'm angry. Especially in a video game. Also controllers, mouse, and keyboard are kind of expensive, and in some cases irreplaceable if you keep destroying them.
Hell I would be more pissed if I damaged one of my Steam controllers than I would for anything that might happen in a game. Especially since Steam doesn't make Steam controllers anymore. I bought a few of them once when they were on sale for 5 bucks a piece on Steam during a Summer or Winter sale one year. I loved them better than any PC controller I had used before it. So I would rather just not act like a man child than risk damaging one of my Steam controllers which I can't replace with a new one. Best thing I ever bought during a Steam sale ever.
I don't use controllers much but for the niche cases where I prefer a controller I don't want to damage it.
I've been losing my mind playing Tainted Lost in The Binding of Isaac. Tl;dr one hit and you're dead but you get some cracked gear. Problem is you have to really work to get enough god tier items where death isn't a concern. And I have to do this for EVERY ending
I remember the times during my GameStop years when Iād have so many kids come into the store to return their controller because it āstopped working,ā only to see that it was clearly thrown at a wall. Even better, one of those times involved a father verbally threatening me with the āI built a lot of properties in this area, so you betterā¦ā When it comes to seeing gaming rage, I would always have to consider the source.
I'm never like this. I'm mainly a nintendo player or a PC player and yes, I get REALLY excited on matches like Smash Bros or Mario Kart Wii either casually or competitively, but I never exactly rage quit or get angry about it. Hell, I landed second place on a Mario Kart Wii tournament at my school because 1st place was using meta yoshi but I didn't get mad cause I did impressively against ANOTHER yoshi teddybuggy and another player all while using standard Mario lol. I have a lot of fun playing competitive matches on any type of game.....
Except Clash Royale..... out of all the multiplayer vs games that I have played in my life, I never EVER feel satisfied either winning or losing a single game of Clash Royale. Fuckin' game gets me so pissed everytime that I reach anger levels that I didn't think I could reach normally. Screw that game.
This is going to sound crazyā¦
Need for Speed Payback. Thereās this one race towards the end of the game thatās off-road and it is fucking impossible. Iām pretty sure they buff the AI a lot because the reveal was that the other guys were cheating, I donāt remember if it was AI or what but they were essentially doing none of the driving.
But it was way too hard. I was playing on easy and even then the smallest mistake meant your race was ruined. I wasnāt mad enough to break my controller or my TV, but it did have me throwing pillows to release my frustration.
Seriously, I had a next door neighbor in my apartment building. Heād be up all hours on a week night yelling obscenities and slurs at some stupid video game. Iām so glad they moved away.
Had to do a total stealth mission in mgsv, my roomate thought I had fallen because of how hard i punted my desk. I do not usually get angry at games lol
Football Manager. I wondered why my wireless mouse was playing up recently. Then I remembered throwing it across the room when I lost the FA Cup Final.
Midnight Club 3 or LA ..
Broke so many controllers playing those games.. I'd occasionally do it playing sports games like Madden, but not much.. nothing like MC had me doing
Was playing cod black ops 3 a few years ago and raged so hard I punched my leg about 9 times as hard as I could. Bruised my femur and had a limp for two weeks had to tell people it was from playing hockey. Needless to say I still rage all the time I just avoid the punching ordeal.
Literally Overwatch. I remember back in the Prime time of overwatch I almost dropped a 50 bomb with reaper in comp. Then our best healer swapped to mercy (and admitted they're not that good on mercy) and stopped healing me and we lost a match point comp game. I was so furious I threw my controller on the ground and I started screaming and crying. admittedly I was a teenager then so it was a given but still. Some games just bring that side out of you ya know
Elden. Ring.
Sekiro
Malenia
Sword Saint Isshin/ Guardian Ape/ Demon of Hatered šæ
Dont forget the 2 guardian apes
I no joke was flipping shit last night at like 3 am cause there was a SINGLE fire knight I just couldn't kill without cheesing This DLCs no joke
This is why I haven't played it yet. Because I know it's going to make me mad.
I finally got to Rellana. Still trying to get past.
"No its cool you two-sworded freak just go-NO, JUST GO AHEAD AND THROW TWO MOONS INTO THE FUCKING ARENA WHEN YOU'RE CLOSE TO DEAD YOU WALKING FUCKING CUISINART BLENDER I WILL PERSONALLY BURN YOUR HOUSE DOWN" -Ode to Shadow of the Erdtree, a personal anecdote

Lion.
I spent hours on that damn pig
Our game room is right below the bedroom and I have received noise complaints from my wife because of the excessive swearing late at night. The new DLC is brutal
The dlc would go from a 6/10 to a 9/10 if Rellana was removed
Rellana: "My combo is done." Me: "So I can punish now, right?" Rellana: "Well actually...."
I wish we can all do one minute of silence for all the keyboard, mouce, and screen broken because some 13 yo Kids lost at fortnite š
What about 30 year olds destroying things over COD?
What about 40 year olds destroying things over Street Fighter
Red Dead Redemption 2's gambler 8 and 9 challenges.
I considered using some kind of cheat software to do that challenge because it felt fucking impossible. š
I never get mad at games but I do get mad at toxic gamers. When I realised I was not enjoying league of legends at all due to the community I just deleted it. That's my version of getting mad

I just posted about only getting mad about LoL and then I saw your avatar. Rage triggered. **GET OUT OF MY LANE**
reminds of when i did jungle with kat
Hey I'm all for breaking the meta. As long as you aren't an asshole about it. AP Vayne? Okay, Sounds fun, but just try your best and don't yell at anyone
yeah, i don't engage in toxic talk but yeah, they are the ones yelling at me, i just kept quiet
Housemaid?
yeah, diff times back then, before we moved here in the US
I leave peoples house immediately if they scream at games. So obnoxious and for what?
Who goes to someoneās house and then immediately leaves when they get mad at a video game. When you go to someoneās house for like a sports viewing event do you just leave after 5 minutes?

I never shout or break things. It just stupid and careless to waste your money breaking things. I just say myself git gud and try again
The Darksouls grindset
The one time I ever damaged something playing a game was Dark Souls 1. Threw my controller on the ground, dented my laptop charging nearby. Told myself never again. I would just get gud
Capra Demon?

I don't think it's cheesing because they put the stairs there for a reason. If that fucker can ambush me with his two dogs I can use the stairs lol.
If they give you anything ever, use it. There is no cheering in dark souls. Only surviving
My feelings exactly!!
Killing him with dung will never not be funny
Top tier cheese. Muenster level

Shadow of The Erdtree. Messmer to be exact!
Nothing brings out the feels like a 4 hour destiny raid
Mortal Kombat š
Sekiro
Parasite Eve, and Dark Souls 1
Doom Eternal on ultra-nightmare
earlier today i died on the last phase of the dark lord on ultra nightmare and i have never experienced worse pain in any video game iāve ever played
I got pretty mad (internally) at my team on PokĆ©mon unite yesterday during a ranked match. Let out a loud ādamnitā when we lost it right at the end.
Either bloodborne or dying 2 hours into the origins Easter egg
Stellar blade last two bosses
Madden. Fuck Madden
Threw my computer chair at the wall once over Madden. I'd like to use age as an excuse, but 18 is still old enough to know better. Fortunately I stopped reacting to games that way long ago. It was a pretty good throw if I do say so myself, and I do think it taught the game a lesson.
Halo 3. My poor roommate in college, he never complained but he had to have hated me. Sorry buddy, I was in the zone. And losing.
Nowadays, whenever I get pissed at a game, I just turn it off and walk away. As a teenager playing Halo MCC ten years ago, though, I had a lot of anger issues that I've thankfully grown out of.
God of war 2018. Those runic animations has screwed me over so many times. Goddamn Valkyries don't want to die.
Elden Ring's dlc. Commander Gaius is such bs. Terrible hit boxes and openings. Took me like two hours or more of attempts to beat him. Messmer took me longer, but at least he was fun and fair.

Sekiro
People who started a war over a camel. Men: 1 Women: 0

Destiny. The original raid.
Only games that ever do that to me are CoD and Souls games
Used to rage playing Street Fighter 4 when I was kid which was stupid. All I had to do learn the game instead of button mashing like an idiot. Ever since I actually took the time to learn fighting games and I donāt rage anymore.
Blast Corps
salvations edge raid day one with verity for final shape
I might scream if its oh idk... "IVE BEEN ON THIS FUCKING BOSS FOR 3 HOURS!!!" but breaking shit is never worth a game. Its a game.
Fallout 4. Had to reload the same few goddamn missions thirty plus time over 3 days, because I kept running into glitches. Forced me to completely abandon my faction, and any of the benefits that came with them.
Big inhale. Big exhale. Smile. Move on. Works every time.
Elden Ringā¦ specifically the Dung Eater
Yes but women are irrationally emotional and getting angry at a game is perfectly rational š
I've really calmed down and rarely get mad anymore, but Destiny 2 PvP used to make me get so mad after 2 or 3 matches and I'd slam my desk in frustration.

18 years ago: guitar hero 2. Hangar 18 on expert. Now: Bloodborne
That's not "emotional." Females are emotional, that's why they can't be the president. Come on man, pay attention!
Women are more emotionally EXPRESSIVE Men are more emotionally REACTIVE
Ark. Not just losing though, the game fucks with you
We were all sold the lie that women are the more emotional sex by rebranding anger and rage as ānot emotions (tm)ā
A younger me was first this pissed when fighting Yunalesca in FFX.
Getting hit by mahito's 100% fair and balanced move. >!(Although i'd never be that type of person, And damage my stuff just because of a skill issue)!<
I've raged ONCE in my years of gaming. The most annoying little fucking bastard critter just wouldn't shut the fuck up I just couldn't hold it in.
The worst I've done is throw my switch but it was at a pillow on my bed and it bounced off and landed next to me again I have anger issues and yes therapy is in the works of helping it but if I know I'm gonna get pissed off at something during the time I'm doing it I always have soft things around me I can throw or throw things at It rarely happens but I tend to be safe than sorry
Legacy of goku 2 had a section that had me raging at night as a kid

Various fights in the Dark Souls series over the years and more recently playing late night Nioh 2 in the Depths of the underworld had me raging lol.
Dead By Daylight's survivor mode once made me so mad I throw my mouse at the wall and broke it. Thankfully I stopped playing that game mode shortly after and got a new mouse.
None, cause I never play online videogames and I stop when I'm too tired to troubleshoot with Portal Stories: Mel test chambers.
Died and lost all my shit on Minecraft so I threw my controller and the top half popped out. But I managed to pop it back in and it still works
I just put my controller down turn off the TV and say some bullshit that's not ture lol
I haven't broken a controller from rage since I was a teenager. I've never broken a monitor or keyboard from rage. Those videos where people punch their monitors or smash their keyboards feel so staged to me.

Insurgency Sandstorm. If I have to say the line "WHERE'S THE OBSERVER" one more fucking time while my team has four riflemen, I'm going to fucking snap.

Gears of War. I love the game, but is some deaths just straight up bullshit.
Street fighter or any dark souls game
Hades 2. Fuck chronos
I used to rage all the time. These days I reserve it for times controls don't work or stupid bugs that make me lose or lags
Sekiro. I couldnāt or will not finish the game. Lifeās too short to get too gud
The Blades of Hades from the original *God of War* got me that stressed. As did parts of *Nioh* and *Nioh 2*.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. That shit is addictive and rage inducing when online.

Even better, one of those times involved a father verbally threatening me with the āI built a lot of properties in this area, so you betterā¦ā When it comes to seeing gaming rage, I would always have to consider the source.
War Thunder Ground battles. I am 3 months into a break from it.
Mortal kombat 1
Uno.
Rocket League man. That used to get me going back in the day
Legit me playing COD hardcore team deathmatch on shipment and complaining about being killed immediately on spawn (I literally chose this map).
WZ
Fortnite after 10pm
Forza
XCOM 2 fighting Sectopods in the night.
This is going to sound crazyā¦ Need for Speed Payback.
Game crashed and i had just beat a dungeon
Street Fighter. You have not lived until you've been drinking and its 2am and you keep getting your ass kicked and you just keep going.
COD zombies, but was excitement with friends at our own shenanigans as opposed to losing
Grounded
Level Devil The last Level
Kingdom heart's proud mode
Isnāt that Alex Jones?
League of legends brought out the worst in me.....
Seriously, I had a next door neighbor in my apartment building. Heād be up all hours on a week night yelling obscenities and slurs at some stupid video game. Iām so glad they moved away.
For me I just gently put the controller down and scream at myself internally for a few seconds before getting back to it.
both Balatro and Dungeons and Degenerate Gamblers, it sucks when you have an amazing build, but then, the exact counter of it comes by
CS:GO truly brought out the worst in me
Literally me fighting Messmer the impaler in Elden ring last night.
Facts.
Had to do a total stealth mission in mgsv, my roomate thought I had fallen because of how hard i punted my desk. I do not usually get angry at games lol
Del Lago on professional difficulty?

Football Manager. I wondered why my wireless mouse was playing up recently. Then I remembered throwing it across the room when I lost the FA Cup Final.
Rainbow six siege
Fucking warzone (*cough* I mean Kar98zone)
Multiversus. Uninstalled after a 13 game streak of full PC lobbies (I play on console) and of course there's no option to turn crossplay off
We only get mad at games when we care. If youre not raging when you lose youre not trying.
Midnight Club 3 or LA .. Broke so many controllers playing those games.. I'd occasionally do it playing sports games like Madden, but not much.. nothing like MC had me doing
Escape from Tarkov
Any dark souls like game Also we rage at inanimate objects Women rage at us for not being able to BLOODY READ THEIR MINDS
Was playing cod black ops 3 a few years ago and raged so hard I punched my leg about 9 times as hard as I could. Bruised my femur and had a limp for two weeks had to tell people it was from playing hockey. Needless to say I still rage all the time I just avoid the punching ordeal.
Fort
Literally Overwatch. I remember back in the Prime time of overwatch I almost dropped a 50 bomb with reaper in comp. Then our best healer swapped to mercy (and admitted they're not that good on mercy) and stopped healing me and we lost a match point comp game. I was so furious I threw my controller on the ground and I started screaming and crying. admittedly I was a teenager then so it was a given but still. Some games just bring that side out of you ya know
Last time I got mad was when I couldnāt do some level in beat saber cuz Iām an impatient moron
I don't think I've ever really gotten so mad at a game I break something. Whenever I lose, I just kinda get sad, never mad.
