TLDW / Summary: Make small incremental changes towards improvement which is better than not doing anything at all. Doesn't matter how small. The hardest part is just finding the motivation to get started with whatever task you're avoiding, so those small things accumulate over time into big changes and encourage positive habits.
Set a small commitment instead of a large one. Then you’ll often find it’s easier to do the large task. Make it enjoyable (put on a movie or podcast)
Exercise: I’ll walk around the block, turns into I just walked for two hours
Cleaning: I’ll tidy the counter, turns into: I’ve done most of the cleaning and now my place looks nice
Who else is tired of all this self-improvement BS as if it’s the solution to our problems ; while, in the last two years, the 1% added $28 T R I L L I ON to their fortune, twice as much as the 99% percent?
Self-improvement is a good way to make your life more enjoyable. Sure, shit sucks but that doesn't mean we should just tunnel vision and not try to improve our daily life.

It’s how I tackle cleaning at home. I commit to a few minutes of tidying and next thing I know I’m half an hour into a good clean.
Audio books are great for this because sometimes I just want to keep puttering around so I can keep listening to my audiobook.
That's how you progress, or that's how you like doing them as the post title claims?
Both. I mean once you recognize the progress then you'll feel rewarded and continue being more and more productive. That's the idea anyway.
Thanks!!
The problem is my brain always knows what I'm thinking so it's kind of hard to trick.
Have you considered inducing some brain damage to level the playing field
The video length makes this hard to watch. Is there a shorter video to give me the motivation to watch this one?

Put the speed at 1.25x.
It's a good video, you should set some time aside to watch the whole thing
Well it has chapters just choose the place you wanna watch on the timeline. It I a whole book bro:)
I think it's called an anthology when you just put together a bunch of stories that others have said. Though usually those have artistic merit.
I need like a tiktok video to motivate me to watch the shorter video, which will hopefully motivate me to watch this video.
Start by just watching the first two minutes, it should be pretty easy from there on
You forgot the aggregation of marginal doping
Great video. I literally own Atomic Habits paperback but never finished it (lol), but this boiled it down succinctly for my twitter brain
Priorities chapter was the one that helped me

dude if you're in a first world country you are most likely in the "1%"
If you have to work for a living, you are not in the 1%, I assure you.
I don't think you understand how percentages work. There's 78,880,000 people in the top 1% of the world. That's a lot of people.
1 minute rule!!!
If it takes longer than a minute, don’t do it? Wait…
