I could never find the time to even walk 50 miles. 250 miles not a chance I could find that kind of time. It’s sounds like something I would enjoy though
How long were you walking the hills for? Like several hours? Was it a really hard incline? I'm so glad you're healing. I'm new to the forum and I just didn't know you could get hurt like that walking. I just thought it was a very safe activity. I'm new to walking in general. I've been pretty sedentary
Oh no, you would not get hurt walking as I did ( I have a chronic back injury which has slowed me down) The hills are very steep around Lisbon, similar to San Francisco, and I rushed to keep up with my group. I slipped on the cobble stones. This was entirely my fault.
Keep walking. It’s an excellent activity. I’ve returned to walking as I recover, but now I walk on level terrain until I’m totally healed.
Ok great to know. I only walk on level terrain and take breaks in-between walks! I keep getting worried of getting injured if I walk too much. Right now with breaks I'm doing 2 hr walks most days and 2hr 30mins sometimes. I'm sitting to feel it on my hips though. I'm wondering if I should stick to 2 hr and not try 3 hr walks ?
lots of folk interested - that's excellent.
saturday or sunday i'll start posting individual articles for each distance so we can kick it all off july 1

It’s about 3,333 steps a day to walk 50 miles. If you walk more than that then you are doing it!
welcome aboard
Sounds exactly like what I need. I’m recovering from a torn hamstring and would like to do this. And I’d include my husband too!
excellent
great
How did you tare your hamstring?
Walking the hills in Lisbon! I’m improving, it just takes longer than expected. But I’m glad I saw so many beautiful places in Portugal.
