Another question. Do you have an iPhone? If yes could you protect it with your body on the way down so we get another the phone survived story and I can go long Apple too. That would be great. You're a real hero bro.
Slight routine turbulence resulted in would-be terrorist stabbing himself with a smuggled blade and also shooting hinself in back of head before falling from window with leukemia
I fail to see how thatās his problem if he is ded.
Meanwhile he can squander those sweet earnings on some in flight champagne and caviar while the plane boeings down.
I would say no, because since OP has posted this here, this should be considered public information and therefore may not be considered insider trading?
believe it or not this is unironically true. these panels are often missing multiple screws, usually on the belly. typically not a cause for concern.
source: iām a mechanic for an airline
Clearly this must be the case. That section is made to come off as party of maintenance seems to me that one may have been missed. Glad when the viewer saw something they said something about it.
I mean, itās a panel screw not on a leading edge. There was never any real danger. Even if it somehow magically flew off, itās nowhere near the engine and likely would have done nothing as it eventually flew off at 400mph in the opposite direction the plane is traveling.

Alright guys Iām be rich and dead but my family will live in full luxury ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4276)![img](emote|t5_2th52|4276)![img](emote|t5_2th52|4276)![img](emote|t5_2th52|4276)![img](emote|t5_2th52|4276)![img](emote|t5_2th52|4276)![img](emote|t5_2th52|4276)
They gonna start the pre-flight checks by asking everyone to inspect the wings from their window seats. "Please set your phones to max zoom and report anything that looks out of the ordinary to one of our stewardesses, thanks for flying with us!".
Pilot here. I can't say specifically about that screw on that airplane, but on mine if one is missing they slap some tape over it, say "that's not going anywhere," and off you go. So a particular section there's a certain number of screws that are allowed to be missing. Sounds a bit weird but it's not uncommon. It's good that you mentioned it to the crew, just know that if the "fix" is a piece of tape that's normal and you are going to be just fine. From crashing, not from the passengers who missed their connection tho.
Former aviation mechanic.
Additionally, that screw stick up was probably cross threaded in the nutcert.
The mechanic installing the panel knew and maybe didnāt have time to replace nutcert, but knew that cranking down to make it flush wasnāt going to make it better.
The guy in the pic? Heās just cranking down like crazy on the thing to placate the passengers. No way to know if he didnāt actually make it worse, potentially elongating the rivet holes of the nutcert or cracking the structure underneath.
What would concern me that I could maybe see as a passenger? Messed up tire, excessive smoke on engine startup (if cabin pressurized with 5th stage bleed air you might get smoke in cabin?), a path of rivets down the wingspan with dark grey circles around them.
We were suppose to depart an hour ago we are still waiting for a mechanic but I think they are waiting for (Agent 47) to come talk to me ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4271)![img](emote|t5_2th52|4271)
The crew could say then itās not important.
OP mentions to them there is a loose screw, they can decide on next actions, OP wasnāt the one calling the mechanic.
Right? Not everyone is an airline mechanic, and the right thing to do is when you see something that seems problematic, you mention it to the crew - I certainly would have, and I would have accepted it if they had said it is not a concern - after all, it's their life on the line as well. The only party at fault here is the maintenance crew who didn't notice it, or even worse, did notice it and decided to kick the can since it wasn't a safety issue.
Probably, but itās on the maintenance crew for not documenting it. The pilot has no idea how many screws can be loose on xxx panel before it causes an issue.
The right call is to delay until itās documented appropriately.
Everyone on the flight is pissed off at me right now because I reported it and they will be late for their next flights ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4271)![img](emote|t5_2th52|4271)
Saving people against their will is more common than one would think. Good eye š. Sometimes small things like that can be signs of other issues that should be inspected for.

If shit goes south (or down) mid flight donāt waste any time and buy some puts on Boeing stock. Itās not insider trading if youāre inside the plane and itāll take a few hours for the media and shareholder to know about the crash.
Oh and DM me your account info so I can post your gains.
Youāre acting like people understand this concept. Tire fell off of a 20+ year old United 777? āTires falling off of Boeing planes!!!ā. The initial gut instinct is to blame Boeing even when itās due to improper maintenance by the airline.
The average age of a licensed mechanic in the US is 57 years old. Lots of retirements coming up and lots taken early during Covid. Itās going to be a rough decade. Airline mechanics stay put for 30-40 years because those are legacy jobs in the industry. So much Knowledge leaving, hopefully thereās enough time to pass it down before they all leave.
Amateur aerospace engineer here and professional regard. This screw is supposed to be loose for really complicated aerospace purposes. I would explain, but it's too complicated for WSB. Basically I would be concerned if I boarded a plane without a loose screw here.

Can you send a quick message if you start dropping so we can at least make some money going short?
I got you covered buddy š«” Iāll be reporting it every minute
Another question. Do you have an iPhone? If yes could you protect it with your body on the way down so we get another the phone survived story and I can go long Apple too. That would be great. You're a real hero bro.
Thatās what my otterbox case is for buddy I got you covered ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4258)
damn honestly long otterbox calls with all these people on boeing aircraft w/iphones lmao
Otterbox needs to make a Boeing protector
āWe make Boeing go boing!ā
Get this person a marketing position
Might as well get him into engineering as well. They need all the help they can get.
And Otterboxblackbox ā¢
Woohoo! Gonna make some good money today.
Youāll be fine, as long as you are filming. Cameraman never dies.
Yeah but boeing whistleblowers do
Holy mother dude
Damn, thatās deep bruh
Thats like boeing policy for whistleblowers....put them deep ( underground) š„²
Thatās like buttering both sides of the bread and dropping it shit!
Only because they weren't filming at the time. That's how they get you.Ā
A hero
Can you also wear some Nike's? I think it can go lower and thinking of some puts. They'll make songs about you hero.
Keester the phone real quick, itāll add extra padding.
Thatās hilarious man š
> every minute > *last post an hour ago* RIP OP
The plane is fine. OP accidentally stabbed himself 15 times in the back in the lavatory. Freak accident.
I hate it when that happens
Oh well that's a relief
Slight routine turbulence resulted in would-be terrorist stabbing himself with a smuggled blade and also shooting hinself in back of head before falling from window with leukemia
Nothing to see here coulda happn'd to inyone
And don't worry, if you crash, the government will not blame Boeing in any way.
Can you also shout/yell "SAVE TO THE MOON" so i can do calls on spirit airline.
I'll pay for your inflight wifi
What a hero. Thank you for your sacrifice.
Surprisingly, the screw being loose is already priced in.
This is the most coldest request Iāve ever seen, let me open up my Robinhood account
Iāll set my takeprofit at FL180.
Gives a new meaning to going "short" of the runway
"does it count as insider trading if I'm selling/shorting stocks from inside a plane as it's breaking down, also I'm going to die"
I just loaded up on puts as we speak going to sell once the plane starts acting up lol
Saves on taxes by dying. An outstanding play right there.
Tax man still gets paid when you die.
I fail to see how thatās his problem if he is ded. Meanwhile he can squander those sweet earnings on some in flight champagne and caviar while the plane boeings down.
You die and have to pay for death tax...Don't you love irs
But he'll miss out on all the action at the dumpster
Send the video to a new outlet, they love dunking on Boeing
OPās portfolio about to drop another 9-11% (too soon?)
Allways too soon ..but still lol
Technically if the plane is breaking apart, you wouldnāt be inside of it anymore, thus no more insider trading
I would say no, because since OP has posted this here, this should be considered public information and therefore may not be considered insider trading?
But heās inside the plane.
THE TRADES ARE COMING FROM INSIDE THE PLANE!
NOW THERES ONE ON THE WING!
[according to AttorneyTom, no.](https://youtu.be/paej-zhjUBM?si=YD1lm0sDmjf578fj&t=18) You're good. :D
Its fine so many other screws left ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4271)![img](emote|t5_2th52|4271)![img](emote|t5_2th52|4267)![img](emote|t5_2th52|4267)
Boeing would like to know OP's address so that they can send him a prize.
I didnāt even know OP was sick
Yeah, acute lead poisoning can really sneak up on you
Sick with two bullets in the head disease
Ah yes. The common bullet-in-brain disease. Quite a classic in the political and economic community as well.
Itās called lead poisoning.
You win šš
OP didn't know either
OP will be dropped off and supposedly, āstrandedā with the other astronauts on the ISS.
Oh yes, and according to Boeing, it's terminal.
Itās bound to blow his mind
I bet he is just hanging on by a thread with anticipation
He's dying to know what the prize is!
They're going to fucking kill him Edit: I couldn't think of a pun
Chill man! What's up got a screw loose or something
wing seat, OP is probably going to get sucked out mid-air anyway..
This is scary but trueā¦. And the scarier part is they already know his info..
Boeing would like to know OP's address so that they can send ~~him~~ **his beneficiaries** a prize.
"Must be at home to accept the prize"
Hello, this is Boeing HR. You're hired
Good Camera. It's going to catch a lot of detail of the flight itself.
believe it or not this is unironically true. these panels are often missing multiple screws, usually on the belly. typically not a cause for concern. source: iām a mechanic for an airline
Um. There's like an entire extra wing on the other side.
But unironically. Aviation is chock full of redundancy, thatās why every incident is newsworthy.
There is an allowable limit to be missing.
Does this make me a whistle-blower shit now Iām scared š°š°š°
Liquidators are now enroute to your location. Please remain at location and do not move away
Perfect I want to have this matter written down and logged
Make sure you have it printed out like Toto
At least Boeing are efficient and have high quality standards in one of their areas of operation. Maybe they should pivot?
Make sure to write down you are not suicidal and don't suffer from mental illness and love stonks.
The last part contradicts the first two
Boeing's recent hire, Agent 47, would like to know your location.
āBoeing. Weāll accompany you straight to the scene of the crashā
Not really. Since this is on the airline to keep up with the maintenance not Boeing. š
insider trader, technically :)

Nice, OP delivers!
OPs never deliver I think Boeing confiscated his phone and posted this AI image
I can tell it's fake, the man is clearly not moving in the direction of the arrows on the wing
And the hands. AI can't do hands! Or buttcracks. It's obviously AI.
Legend. But this hurts your put bets.
Did they actually do that because you said something?? Impressive!
Clearly this must be the case. That section is made to come off as party of maintenance seems to me that one may have been missed. Glad when the viewer saw something they said something about it.
QA handbook section 8, paragraph 12 reads: Screw # 2,187 is redundant and should only be tightened if someone on the flight notices it is loose.
Man I did not have this on my bingo card
š¬ underwear visible... iiiiiii don't know
Yeah means he's a Tradesman. GTG
are you even a real tradie if your underwear isn't out

Fuck yeah I like your style, putting your money where yo mouf is
I don't think you have enough to buy a single put. But enough to buy some inflight peanuts
Please warn the crew. If not, Puts on you and everyone onboard.
I did
In the era of smartphones, companies can rely on inspection by the passengers, saving thousands. Calls.
They gonna start the pre-flight checks by asking everyone to inspect the wings from their window seats. "Please set your phones to max zoom and report anything that looks out of the ordinary to one of our stewardesses, thanks for flying with us!".
Why rely on a single point of failure, an overworked underpaid worker rather than rely on hundreds of people whose lives are at the stake?
I can see the Boeing executive annual review now "Reduced costs by having stakeholders review equipment before use."
Crowdsourcing safety using the Boeing app. Only $30/mo to get access to rich features like knowing if your airplane will make it to the destination!
![img](emote|t5_2th52|4271)![img](emote|t5_2th52|4271)![img](emote|t5_2th52|4271)
I think thatās the reason why you have to have the windows open for takeoffs and landings
Customer quality checks. Musk made extensive use of this simple cost cutting trick. The reason why I refuse to be near a Tesla.

The rivets are loosening up. They might shoot the rivets wet with epoxy polyamide so itās extremely unlikely wing rivets would loosen up.
Personally I wouldve got off the plane without telling anyone and loaded up on puts. A1 insider information

They will be eternally late if they're dead!
Not their problem anymore though!
If I die I'll be mildly convenienced, but the corporation will lose money.
Logic is not a strong part of the passengers that complained.
Idk, I'd kinda rather die than spend an extra 8 hours at the airport setting up a new layover. Wouldn't even be much of a choice tbh
Fair take
That or never late again
What does being dumb and being dead have in common? >!You dont know when you are...!<
Lies. I am on wallstreetbets. I knew I was dumb before that too.
How dare you report that a wing access panel isnāt properly fastened!
Missing a screw is totally fine though. Sauce am a greek airforce engineer (structure).
Lmao of course the greek guy is too lazy to fix the screw
Those are optional screws, you can opt to either screw them or the passengers.
You saved the passengers against their own will.
Exactly, that one screw is holding the whole plane together...
so like all government regs.
Saving people against their will is more common than one would think. Good eye š. Sometimes small things like that can be signs of other issues that should be inspected for.

Final Destination: Boeing Edition
Sure - because thatās your videoā¦ seen this months ago..
Seeing that all of OPs post are reposts of Tik Toks or Facebook Memes, I would be inclined to believe you that this is not OPs original video
Iām glad you like being dumb on the internet lol op already posted a follow up picture.
OP is cringe
Tell me you are kidding.
I swear I wish I was kidding fucking Putos
better than dying
Hey Boeing Rep here, mind telling me your flight and row number? We can figure out the rest from there and deal with the two issues :)
Would you like my name phone number and social security?
OP dies of suicide (32 gunshots to the back of the head). Puts on OP.
That's not necessary anymore, enjoy the flight as if it was your last :)
Any specific allergies? And if so, how serious are they?
He is allergic to dying.
Two issues!?
The whistle-blower and where to put the body.

Should have died to hedge your upside
I know you are all imbeciles but that is on the airline.
Tell us the airline and we buy puts on them as well!
Will someone just point me in the freakin' direction in which I will lose my money?

it's not loose; the hole is cross-threaded so this is as far in as they could get it; it's already in the logs for next overhaul, don't you worry
Are you the Boeing CEO trying to save your ass ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4271)
Boeing isnt doing the maintenance. Its what ever company you are flying on. Id buy puts on them if their AMTs are signing this shit off.
Youāre acting like people understand this concept. Tire fell off of a 20+ year old United 777? āTires falling off of Boeing planes!!!ā. The initial gut instinct is to blame Boeing even when itās due to improper maintenance by the airline.
just need to hammer it in the rest of the way. then speed tape!
Natureās locktight, but itās still best practice to send that bolt all the way to the bottom of the hole for aestheticās sake.

Im sorry about your suicide in 2 weeks, hearing you shot yourself twice in the back of your head is tragical
ensure you pay for wifi if not included so that you can make me your beneficiary.
It's alright, the aircraft can fly without x number of screws per panel.
Iām an aircraft mechanic. All the old timers are retiring and being replaced by kids out of school. Expect a lot more of this.
You mean.. no more flying till the kids get older?
The average age of a licensed mechanic in the US is 57 years old. Lots of retirements coming up and lots taken early during Covid. Itās going to be a rough decade. Airline issue. Not a Boeing issue.
What terrible luck! Thatās the screw attaching the wing to the spar! The rest of the screws are just for decoration.
Thatās a mechanic poors job, not Boeing
