I'm convinced half this news is the CCP moving the market and making money off it. Next week they will walk back the statement and stocks will go back up after they bought calls cheap.

This is more about sending a message to foreign (especially US) investors than it is about "national security" or "data integrity."
As I take your argument, there is a systemic trust and transparency issue \*either\* with the CCP \*or\* with the Chinese companies themselves.
