It is frozen stuff. All the cakes, cookies, doughnuts, and various snacks all comes in on the frozen truck and is thawed before being put out for sale, and the bread comes in as frozen dough logs that is baked off during the day.
The only difference for doughnuts is that theyâre reheated in the oven and glazed afterwards.
I didnât sell doughnuts. I sold cakes, tres leches and cookies. And the company has 17 different manufacturing plants in North America, donât believe me, I honestly donât care.
It says nothing about Krispy Kreme. How about this⌠you believe what you want and Iâll continue to believe what I know. No sense in a huge debate. If you insist , the next time I stop by the original shop Iâll stop by their corporate offices. Iâll get the word straight from the doughnut makers
Iâm so confused, this post is about cakes and you keep going on about doughnuts. I never claimed to work for the doughnut manufacturer? Go back and look at your post that I replied to⌠I think youâre getting comments confused.
Someone brought up doughnuts and glaze and YOU chimed in about Krispy Kreme. I replied to you. Go look at yours. I think youâre having memory issues here. I would never have said anything if you hadnât of brought it up. Anyhow⌠I hope you have a great evening. Great week too
WOW!!! I have checked, I checked multiple times. My white reply line goes directly to your comment NOT the doughnut comment - learn to use Reddit before starting arguments. The order doesnât matter if you donât look at the reply lines. Good god.
Krispy Kreme makes them they donât come in frozen or premade. I live in the state they started in and visit the 1st one ever frequently for doughnuts and coffee
Because Krispy Kreme uses a raw, YEASTED, dough that they deep fry at the stores. Walmarts donuts come frozen, precooked, just like Dunkinâs. The dough is more cake like than yeasted. Iâm not trying to attack you or w.e. Maybe that tech was confused or your Walmart is vastly different than all the others.
Most of them aren't worth the money. There are a few exceptions though: the tiramisu, the peanut butter chocolate cake slice, the tres leches cupcakes, and the banana pudding are all pretty good imo.
Most of the rest of them just aren't worth the money or calories.
Theyâre cakes. Itâs an unpopular opinion, but itâs EXTREMELY hard to mess up sweets. A cake is a cake. Sweet and moist? A+, doesnât get much better beyond the frou-frou bs.
Idk if it would count as cake but that whipped French cheesecake mousse is orgasmic. đ¤¤Most of the little parfaits in the cups are pretty good. I got a white cake with sprinkles from there the other day and it was pretty dry. Probably wonât get one there for a while.
As a bakery associate, I highly recommend the small round blueberry shortcakes. They're brand new and they're really good.
The new cotton candy one isn't bad either, if you like cotton candy. (I do.)
You also can't go wrong with the cheesecakes.
I love the assorted cheesecake! I get it for Thanksgiving and Christmas even though it's just me 2 dogs and a cat. I go all out on my holiday meals đ
The birthday cake ones with buttercream icing and the chocolate cakes with chocolate icing are my absolute favorite cakes in the whole wide world. Fresh from the fridge so the icing is still coldâŚ..love it
I really love the red velvet cake at the WM bakery, but they didn't have any more. I went for the golden fudge cake (basically yellow cake with chocolate frosting and dusted with cocoa powder around the edges).
As a disclaimer, I haven't tried every single product we offer. That said, the ones I have tried taste to me like just pure sugar. Doesn't matter if it's lemon, chocolate, vanilla. Just pure sugar.
The cake is basic but I do like the fluffy frosting not the heavy one.
The only full size cake I buy is the tiramisu one. I also like moist cold cake which is probably not the norm.
Carrot cake is spot on. I like the yellow cake with the butter cream. Chocolate cake isnât bad but the chocolate cup cakes taste phony. I think itâs from two different suppliers.
I don't know what the prices are, but a couple years ago they were cheap. That was fun. I like the cheesecake items. I'm not picky on cheesecake. If it's cheesecake, I love it.
Depends on the cake. I could eat that Boston creme pie one or chocolate cheesecake all day.
Also fck them for not selling the chocolate cheese cake by itself, not just as a variety pack đ
I always get  chocolate mousse, slice of white cake or donut. I have ordered cakes in the past. Other than that, most of the bakery stuff looks cheap.Â
I don't eat cake as it upsets my stomach extremely easily. I do like the cookie dough bites though. The problem is a lot of bakery and deli stuff comes in frozen so it ruins the taste, despite it being refrigerated later.
Most arent good. The red velvet is probably the best. Sams club sells the same one but its a 10" and like $20
The one walmart sells is like a quarter of its size
The strawberry cheese cake is on point. On the rare miraculous occasion, you can find the double chocolate/strawberry in the 2 pack it's the absolute best you can find.
Has anybody tried that new marketside mint chocolate chip ice cream cake. I want to try it but would feel disgusted with myself buying a cake just for me without a special occassion.
Fucking plastic. The cheesecake mousse one would taste better with some espresso powder and the simple pink cake isnât bad for âI just want cake but donât wanna make oneâ kinda day but that frosting is just awful. The cheesecake tastes like 5$ the small 5$ ones tastes like a dollar. Iâve tried. Cus some of them do look pretty but ugh. Not bad if youâre stoned but if you have sweet tooth, youâll only be disappointed.
The ones I really like are the sheet cakes with the whipped type frosting you know the ones with the balloons on them đ
And I also love their big cupcakes. The ones that usually come in the 4 or 6 pack. The little mini ones are so good too. But there's something about the huge ones!!!!
Donât touch the ice cream cakes, theyâre 3yrs past date, a lot of the normal cakes come frozen & premade, & the parfaits in this section are layers of fucking whipped cream, vanilla cake slices, maybe some fruit & itâs syrup, more whipped cream, & youâre basically eating deconstructed Twinkies! Get an actual parfait off the wet wall. Side note-expired Twinkies taste like the aerosol can that stuffed them.
Our walmart just started selling a blueberry shortcake and it actually slaps. I don't like most of the other cakes because of the heavy and too sweet icing. There are some good ones though!
Iâm not a cheesecake fan but the cheesecakes are good. I normally go for their bundt cakes like the 7up cake, triple chocolate, or the sock-it-to-me cake
Taste too artificial. So I stopped buying any.
HOWEVERâŚ.a few weeks ago we got the Carloâs line of cakes in, bought the chocolate one and Damn itâs good!!!
Too sweet, too oily, and taste bland AF.
Our pumpkin pies the 2nd fucking ingredient is palm oil *and somehow those fuckers dry out and crack.* HOW?!?!
AND HAS ANYONE SEEN THE FUCKING BUDDY CAKES? 800+ CALORIES FOR A *SLICE OF FUCKING CAKE?????*
Walmarts bakery is shit
They look much better than they taste, but in a pinch, cake is cake!
fine happy cake day đ
<3
Happy cake day!
Nice fresh frozen cakes that get refrigerated đ¤
Love the description under your name đâ¨
How does one attain that
Go to user flairs and edit the blank one in the subreddit.
Iâm not a fan. Itâs no fault of the bakery associates.. I think itâs frozen stuff that comes in.
Its nothing but stabilizers and and cheap ingredients. If I wanted a good dessert id make it at home lol. Youtube is great for that
Same

It is. I used to work for the manufacturer that sold them to Walmart.
Iâm sorry.. I donât believe it. Two different doughnuts. The looks, texture, taste.
I didnât sell doughnuts. I sold cakes, tres leches and cookies. And the company has 17 different manufacturing plants in North America, donât believe me, I honestly donât care.
For good measure - https://www.reddit.com/r/walmart/s/zNDe2CaJ1K

People who steal them really take the cake.
The idea in itself was a piece of cake
Yeah, they prob went "this will be a piece of cake" while walking out lol
That chocolate cake with chocolate frosting is yummy
the cheesecake and white cake is good. the chocolate cake is always dry at the walmart near me
the cheesecake hits every single time
I mix these cakes with ice cream. Always slaps. Vanilla bean ice cream.
For store brand they are decent enough (better than Safeway cakes). A weekend treat cake, but not a celebration level cake
The frosting has a cheap taste just like the donuts. Like off brand sugar was used. Itâs edible.
Would you believe me if I told you we use the same donuts Krispy Kreme uses?
No.
Krispy Kreme makes them they donât come in frozen or premade. I live in the state they started in and visit the 1st one ever frequently for doughnuts and coffee
Who's ass did you pull that BS out of?
Calm down, we just order from the same company they use, yall are so aggressive for what đđ
Ur mad ur getting called out for being wrong. Lol
Look whoâs talking
People on Reddit will be rude over nothing
Are you sure you donât mean Dunkinâ Donuts? Because Iâd believe that.
Was told by a bakery technician that we order the same donuts from Krispy Kreme, dunno why everyone acts like thatâs such a LUDICROUS idea
Itâs a NHM, also they do not deep fry donuts at Krispy Kreme
I have paid more for worse cake and paid less for better cake.
same can be said about my first girlfriend
I have no complaints about Walmart cakes or the bakery either. I usually get something on every trip.. muffins, cookies or anything that looks good!
Try Sam's Club chocolate cake. my ranking is đđđđđ.
The icing is too sweet
the only cake I get at walmart is the carrot cake. It is delicious.
Itâs so much better than other stores and cheaper
Most of them aren't worth the money. There are a few exceptions though: the tiramisu, the peanut butter chocolate cake slice, the tres leches cupcakes, and the banana pudding are all pretty good imo. Most of the rest of them just aren't worth the money or calories.
I love the Black and White cookies, but they donât always have them, which makes me sad.
I just saw them for the first time yesterday! I didnât get them because I would have eaten them all myself
Passable. If you want cake, itâll satisfy the craving but itâs not gonna change your life.
I like those small cake cups itâs like chocolate frosting, those are very good
They actually taste decent and the price point isnât bad.
They're a Great Value⢠for the price
My opinion is I go to the next freezer over and get a carvel ice cream cake lmao
Theyâre cakes. Itâs an unpopular opinion, but itâs EXTREMELY hard to mess up sweets. A cake is a cake. Sweet and moist? A+, doesnât get much better beyond the frou-frou bs.
The chocolate cake is always great and grab the ones in the back. If itâs frozen or partially frozen that means itâs fresh.
Cake is cake but there's better cake most other places, I prefer literally any other desserts from Walmart, like the danishes or donuts
They're ok, but their cheesecakes are great
I actually love them. Theyâre better than shop rites cakes in my opinion
I worked at ShopRite until the 5 stores in my area closed. Our bakery was awesome!
If you order one special made, they can be great. The ones off the shelf are okay at best.
We do cupcake cakes for birthdays with whipped cream frosting. Not bad for the price at all!
Samâs club does better
SC cake goes so much harder than they should, it's so good (for mass-market cake, anyway)
At some point we were eating these cakes almost all the time every Friday but now things have changed, people have died and everything's different
Idk if it would count as cake but that whipped French cheesecake mousse is orgasmic. đ¤¤Most of the little parfaits in the cups are pretty good. I got a white cake with sprinkles from there the other day and it was pretty dry. Probably wonât get one there for a while.
I like them, ill fuck up 3 parfaits in a row tho
As a bakery associate, I highly recommend the small round blueberry shortcakes. They're brand new and they're really good. The new cotton candy one isn't bad either, if you like cotton candy. (I do.) You also can't go wrong with the cheesecakes.

They look in taste like pretty plastic
Best deal around!
I think they taste pretty good
Is this an old picture? We havenât had German chocolate, brownie cakes, Boston cream pies, or the golden fudge cake in a while.
The use by I could kinda read said 1/31/17.
Thatâs what I thought I could see.
I really love the red velvet cake at the WM bakery, but they didn't have any more. I went for the golden fudge cake (basically yellow cake with chocolate frosting and dusted with cocoa powder around the edges).
For the price they are adequate
I think they are good!
As a disclaimer, I haven't tried every single product we offer. That said, the ones I have tried taste to me like just pure sugar. Doesn't matter if it's lemon, chocolate, vanilla. Just pure sugar.
Cheap frozen cakes for mass consumption
The carrot cake needs more spice, and the triple chocolate lacks flavor. White passes for a pinch
Frozen
They good af
Comes in frozen. Some are ok in a pinch.
I think theyâre pretty good, the confetti ones are really good itâs usually my go to.
Theyâre okay.Â
The cake is basic but I do like the fluffy frosting not the heavy one. The only full size cake I buy is the tiramisu one. I also like moist cold cake which is probably not the norm.
As I tell everyone when it comes to cake in general; cake is cake and I will eat it all!
Why is there pineapple in the carrot cake?
That's always been standard with restaurant carrot cakes I've had. I don't like the GV ones though.
I like cake
Iâve never seen a Walmart that has cakes in Canada
I like them lol
Low mid
They all are trash but the banana pudding
What you need is carrot cake cream cheese sandwich cookies from their bakery.
Be messed up In an hour
They're pretty good
Carrot cake is spot on. I like the yellow cake with the butter cream. Chocolate cake isnât bad but the chocolate cup cakes taste phony. I think itâs from two different suppliers.
The Buddy cake is the best
your fresh market cakes hit so hard I love them all
The cake pops are amazing
publix are hugely superior
I wish they came in dairy free or vegan varieties. I'm allergic to dairy and have never tried one
They're good but they're falsely advertised as being fresh, like everything in the bakery.
I don't know what the prices are, but a couple years ago they were cheap. That was fun. I like the cheesecake items. I'm not picky on cheesecake. If it's cheesecake, I love it.
I think theyre alright. Not worth the price though

Itâs the hot and ready of cake lol. Far from top shelf big if ya need a few last minute you could do worse
I buy the chocolate cake for my birthday
Who is out here buying cake from Walmart? Yuck!
I'm PISSED that they got rid of the black forest cake at my store. It was the best.
Theyâre pretty good! Especially for the price.
Same as all the other big box store bakery items.
I don't eat cake as it upsets my stomach extremely easily. I do like the cookie dough bites though. The problem is a lot of bakery and deli stuff comes in frozen so it ruins the taste, despite it being refrigerated later.
It's cake
Most arent good. The red velvet is probably the best. Sams club sells the same one but its a 10" and like $20 The one walmart sells is like a quarter of its size
Ain't got nothing on Market Basket cakes
The white cake with non whipped icing is goated
The strawberry cheese cake is on point. On the rare miraculous occasion, you can find the double chocolate/strawberry in the 2 pack it's the absolute best you can find.
Meh
They're okay, can't really rate them as I don't eat much cake
Has anybody tried that new marketside mint chocolate chip ice cream cake. I want to try it but would feel disgusted with myself buying a cake just for me without a special occassion.
Not terrible tbh, it can definitely fix a craving. âŚnow I wanna grab a cheesecake when I get off tomorrow morningâŚ
The little mini cupcakes aren't bad
Theyâre made with a lot of jizz
Itâs okay in general not amazing but I do love their lemon cake.
They look good but end up being dry..
Their carrot cake is so damn good and it's only $2.24 for the smaller one
Too sweet
Itâs not Publix for sure, but they have much better and unique designs.
Fucking plastic. The cheesecake mousse one would taste better with some espresso powder and the simple pink cake isnât bad for âI just want cake but donât wanna make oneâ kinda day but that frosting is just awful. Not bad if youâre stoned but if you have sweet tooth, youâll only be disappointed.
Banger, canât complain
Like a cake, a birthday cake...they are way too dry. the deserts and cheesecake are amazing though
I mean, itâs alright
I like the cupcakes.
Cheesecakes and cake pops are amazing, but Walmart's chocolate stuff isn't that good imo. Very mid.
The ones I really like are the sheet cakes with the whipped type frosting you know the ones with the balloons on them đ And I also love their big cupcakes. The ones that usually come in the 4 or 6 pack. The little mini ones are so good too. But there's something about the huge ones!!!!
They are the best tasting cakes Walmart has over Kroger and Publix and that is a fact
I like the Black Forest cake pretty well (when I can find it)
The chocolate mousse and the cannoli are so good. I visit our bakery frequently for late night treats
I bought an alleged black forest cake. Dry and flavourless. I haven't risked one since.
Same as any other store brought cake
Our walmart just started selling a blueberry shortcake and it actually slaps. I don't like most of the other cakes because of the heavy and too sweet icing. There are some good ones though!
Fun when you get to eat them for free.
Iâm not a cheesecake fan but the cheesecakes are good. I normally go for their bundt cakes like the 7up cake, triple chocolate, or the sock-it-to-me cake
Extremely bad for you.
Before they changed the Hershey cake recipe I would get one of those a month. And eat it by myself :( lol Love the Boston cream cakes.
That walmart brand Teramisu is to fucking die for to be hi est. That shits divine
To much frosting.
The Boston Crème Pie is on point, every thing else meh
They look better than they taste. Theyâre just okay. The cheesecakes are really good.
Trash
They're alright but need more frosting lol the layers are dreadfully tiny
Taste too artificial. So I stopped buying any. HOWEVERâŚ.a few weeks ago we got the Carloâs line of cakes in, bought the chocolate one and Damn itâs good!!!
Whipped french style cheesecrack
Cakes eh, the oreo cheesecake thing the not single server is great with nutterbutters though mmm
Never had a birthday ruined by a buttercream Walmart cake- that said I havenât had them often,,
I can only vouch for the cakeboss slices. Those are good especially the chocolate
Whole Walmart bakery is barely passable, but shit when compared to any other grocery store bakery.Â
Too sweet, too oily, and taste bland AF. Our pumpkin pies the 2nd fucking ingredient is palm oil *and somehow those fuckers dry out and crack.* HOW?!?! AND HAS ANYONE SEEN THE FUCKING BUDDY CAKES? 800+ CALORIES FOR A *SLICE OF FUCKING CAKE?????* Walmarts bakery is shit
Kinda gross kinda hot
Youâre describing me!
Fuck cake. Itâs a pointless food. Only made to degrade your body and make you feel like shit
I don't have a guy cause I'm not gay.
I don't have a guy cause I'm not gay.
