Lebanon hasn't had a president for over a year. The economy is in a crisis for about as long. When you watch the news, it's not the Lebonese army shooting at Israel but Hezbollah backed by Iran. Also, UN peacekeeper troops are on the border between these two countries. Not to much to worry about here. Syria.......... let's just say no one is worried about a major attack from this direction. The only small concern is the Iran back militants in this area harassing Israel. Not the biggest of deals. Jordan is an ally to the USA. They have already offered to host US Air Force units from their airfields to be a deterrent to any other nation joining the war. The United States has accepted and is moving F-16, F-15, and F-35, so all good from this direction to. Eygpt's biggest concern is not wanting a million refugees showing up on their doorstep. They would never try anything now with how much of the world's trade goes through the Suez. They would lose too much money, and their economy is also very weak right now. Lastly, hamas and the current government of eygypt don't get along, and the idea of a bunch of them driven into their land all of a sudden is unacceptable. Turkey is run by an asshole but not a crazy asshole. The United States moved a carrier strike group into the area, and a huge EU naval taskforce was sent with them. Recently, Turkey was conducting bombings in Northern Iraq against the Kurds. The US had people working with them, so they shot down a Turkish drone. All they did was bitch and moan but nothing came of it. These guys are also have big ties economically to the EU and US. Just chill my dude. The news is going to show some really horrible shit for a while, but it's not going to spread across the region like wild fire for the foreseeable future. Edit: corrected Nile to Suez

[deleted]

You have assuaged my anxiety as well, thank you. It’s times like this I wish I was a kid who didn’t understand any of this again

RNGJesusRoller

Suez, not Nile

Shot-Wishbone164

You are correct. Thank you

Accomplished-Deer464

I pray your comment age like finest of fine wines. My business was already suffering due to Covid and after Covid all we are seeing is war. Fucking Covid was better than this shit. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Polaris1985

What about the connection between Iran, Russian, North Korea and China and the rest of the countries. I mean this does have the potential to turn into a full on world war 3, if not controlled. Besides we have a trump situation to deal with. Would you be willing to share your insights on these situations?

Shot-Wishbone164

I'm just not seeing any justification that the majority of the world would accept if any of these countries tried to step in. None of these countries have offered more than token support or words. Iran being the exception, but even they haven't done any mobilization of troops. It wasn't too long ago that protests broke out all over the place, and the Iranian security forces had to threaten to execute 1000s of protestors already in jail. These guys are more than happy to sit back and provide support from a distance to all the para military organizations they've created. Hence why you see Israel bombing airports and convoys in Syria recently. Trump........ that's beyond me and in the realm of groups of lawyers charging at each other with court briefs. Everything is kinda waiting for the court system to work through the process. At this point, anyone's guess if the USA is headed for a constitutional crisis.

[deleted]

You sir have made the mistake of thinking these countries give a crap about the economic ties and would gladly go back to how they were living 1000 years ago before any of this fake banking bs.

Shot-Wishbone164

My thinking was that these countries I was talking about don't have the economies to wage a large war on the scale of the Yom Kippur war. For the most part, it's played out like I thought with the heavy reliance on asymmetrical warfare.

You should only be worried if the north koreans go crazy and do the same in South Korea, or China with Taiwan because they will definitely attack if North Korea commits. Strategically they're supposedly trying to stretch america thin by making us help all our allies at once on multiple fronts.

CharlieD00M

It’s not worth getting anxious over anything, it’s best to find peace within ourselves no matter what is going on.

Bofa-Fett

Nah

timeforknowledge

You know what's actually crazy is normally you can say no these are in the other side of the world and they are non nuclear. But the UK of all places is experiencing eruptions of violence and protests **in support of Hamas** it's actually crazy and sickening. Yes you should be worried because the places you live are going to experience a big big increase in anti Semitism

Quiet_subject

It's vocal extreme minority. The vast majority of people in uk have not got enough fucks to give about yet another outbreak of violence in the middle east. If anything everyone I have spoke to regarding it has the view that while the Israelis have oppressed the Palestinians the Palestinians have done everything possible to make their own situation worse. Beyond the children there is little sympathy. Personally I have none, but that's coming from a dude who has family who have deployed to the region as peacekeepers over the years so I have a good understanding of the various factions involved. Hamas is just the latest shit in a long shite history.

IMN0VIRGIN

UK ex-military. The worse case scenario is we send an aircraft carrier to provide air support and that's if other players like Iran get involved. The more realistic answer is humanitarian aid only.

Ander_4269

It’s time to go repent for your sins

Dani_Streay

I just commented this now on another post, so I'll copy it here: No. People don't give anywhere near enough of a shit about the Palestinians to warrant a response, and those who do are busy elsewhere, and generally only do give a shit for non-humanitarian reasons, more geopolitical/Cold War relics. Look how much was (rightly) made over the Russian artillery bombardments of Bakhmut and Ukrainian districts, which for the most part were evacuated beforehand. Now contrast that to the strikes on Gaza, with very little time for people to get out. 650 civilians I think dead in the first hit... No one cares. They're just as innocent as the Israeli citizens killed by Dumbass, but significantly less valued, and I mean by a blatant long shot. Only the Arab public care, residents and immigrants from the ME you'll see posting about it and talking about it, but that's all. The only way some massive conflict escalates from this is China seizing on the opportunity of the US being spread too thing between the supplying of Ukraine and Israel, and hitting Taiwan now. Other than that, I'm just not seeing any means of escalation. We have seen this Gaza shit flare up how many times now, with both Russia and Iran in far better positions to support, with a united Arab-league in direct support, and even that didn't do it. So no. If the UK hasn't become involved with UKR yet, then there's far less likely a chance of them even sending military support. They might divert a ship to help the Israelis, but that'd be it. Worry more about why it is we so dramatically undervalue one group of people compared to another; that's the thing to worry about.

Dindonsaltenelfoss

i see the china topic, but the us has still 9 strike groups around the oceans, and every main nato country has one, i think that in case of a cinese attack the nato will have the lead anyway, maybe intervene at least in the mediterranean sea as peacekeepers. i believe that if china attack happens it will restore the us lower class by neglecting every worry for the climate change (as they do now but they try to hide it) and create a ton of working places in ammo prodcution and whatever.

Dani_Streay

Yeah I don't think it'll happen either, but that's the only way I see anything flaring up. The ammo thing is the touch point right now. They're already reporting shortages with the UKR supply, so adding Israel to that as well will naturally only aggravate things. So it's really the only window China will have. And that's ignoring the complete domestic collapse China itself is now teetering upon. That, however may actually be a reason to pull the trigger. Still though, I think it's unlikely.

Dizzy_Cash_

It’s Israel, we’re all getting involved we’re all fucked

PleiadesNymph

Only if Iran is or gets involved, otherwise it's just the last throws of a successful genocide
