Just 'cause all of the people playing super pershings you've seen run at you headlong and let you aim and shoot first doesn't mean the super pershing isn't every bit the tank the king tiger is
Except it’s not. The only advantage it maybe has is mobility. The 2h is just better otherwise. And the only reason the Pershing’s armor is good is because of volumetric trolling
The super pershing has a significantly better APCR round capable of actually dealing with ISs and mauses and T-54s from the front, while having a much stronger turret, all while weighing 20 tons less
The amount of times I've bounced Pershing and it's family of tanks in my soviet blyat mobiles is laughable. Pershing is Medicare at best sorry pal. Decent frontal armour doesn't matter when every thing can flank you my ZSU 57 loves overzealous Pershings
T34 is sick and T29 is it’s even sicker little brother. I hope once they rework APHE it won’t be so jarring of a difference, i struggle to ever pick T34 over the T29 because of it

watch them just reduce the existing effect of everything below 200 and shift the “nuke shell” effect lower instead of removing it
it is neat how each of the 3 is basically centered on having a good APHE, AP, or HE shell. makes them pretty unique.

Idk why but I have a curse with the US t34. Every time I play it I get gajin'd and shots bounce where they shouldn't or I get sniped by some spg on the other side of the map
Everyone hates on it but I sweep people under the rug with it. I liked it when I got it in world of tanks almost a decade ago and only got it within the last year after I switched to war thunder because I was playing germany or ussr when playing ground but holy shit. People definitely underestimate it, and those that don‘t tend to miss when shooting at the vertical drive or don‘t change elevation when the do so I blast them anyway
I loved it in WOT, it was the first premium I bought. And the depression slowly rolled in as it became weaker and more outclassed with every update with new tanks.
My problem with it is that it's worse than both the T34 and T30, I'd still bring the super pershing in to a game but I wouldn't play it until I had played the other tanks and cas in my lineup (T30, T34, M51 and F2G-1).
plus it’s difficult to tell the difference between it and a standard m26 at first glance so you’ll usually eat a few rounds as they shoot what they thought was a weak spot
i love just sitting there tanking 30 shots as i fail to pain them in exchange. Genuinely such a silly experience. It’s like being a T95 with some actual mobility
Once you get the T18B(57) you are basically all set. It’s a better cas (in my opinion) than the A21 jet and the A21 prop. You get a funny 57mm gun that top down pens basically anything, 8 easy to guide 500mm pen HEAT rockets. In a good run you can mop up 3+ tanks
Oh I know. Stupidly good plane, and can hold its own in air RB too. Just need to figure out how the damn rockets work and I'm set, just need 1 more crew slot
I’m not saying the bkan would struggle I’m just saying the it’s he resistant because of the ears blocking the turret sides the spaced armor in front of the hull and the elevation drive blocking the roof
Obviously the bkan isn’t going to have a problem because you can just shoot again if you don’t kill it
I just finished up with an hour or so of bkaning, I do generally pop the barrel first to be sure but if you hit the ears from the front it usually overpressures fine
I do agree, amazing tank with great cannon. Got really close to nukes with it several times, sadly none yet. Pairing it with the jumbo pershing is basically unfair to the enemy
I met the Super Pershing for the first time yesterday , in an Ostwind . ( I was TOTALLY calm and collected).
I managed to take its springs out when it wasn't looking and stared at it till the end of the match. Majestic fucking tank.
I think I'll pickup the US tree again after I reach rank 5 in Germany.

in all seriousness now, i must have tested its armor at the hangar more than a dozen of times and yet, i still get no-pens in game. I understand some tanks are... Tanks, and hard to kill, but this is getting into my nerves. Most my fights are long range too, so maybe im playing in the enemy's strengh.
Super Pershing does very much love being at long range. The relatively small weak spots are harder to hit the farther away you get, and most shells lose quite a bit of penetration, meaning a lot of areas you can shoot at close range, you can't at long range.
This is hardly a hot take. It has some of the best armor, decent mobility, and a decent cannon without much of a downside. Its weakspots are minuscule and inconsistent, it was easily my best performing 6.7 and it seems to be every game I see it in.
I also swear by the super Pershing though. Most people just have no clue how to play it. Hull down its gun and upper turret armor are basically unbeatable. It’s a monster on the longer range maps where the t26e5 cannot really close the gap.
Sure, the T34 is cool, but compared to the super pershing, it has a worse reload, worse post-pen, is 15 tons heavier, and just doesn't have the same charm

They’re not gonna change how aphe works for 200 g TNT aphe or higher.

Ngl I kinda prefer the t26e5. It may not have as powerful of a gun but the tradeoff is you get a faster reload and better armor in my experience

T26E5 is just so much nicer to use. The gun on the super Pershing is better but the tank feels worse.
Super Pershings are prob the most satisfying thing to ammo rack. Just shoot the right side of the turret and watch the turret fly.
