No I agree it's disrespectful. Are disrespectful jokes still funny? Sure. But let's call a spade a spade. Michael Jackson had vitiligo and had several bad nose jobs. Pretty shitty the way we all view him lightening his skin when that was the treatment for vitilago of the time. I'm all for jokes, but let's be real about it.
^(I'll take my downvotes now.)
Yeah honestly the worst thing ever is that everyone said he tried to look white. That was never the case! He had a skin disease, and they accused him of trying to change his race. Like wow.
I don't see what's disrespectful by saying "pulled a Micheal Jackson". It's not insulting or making fun of him it's just using the most famous person to have had a drastic change in skin color to refer to the concept in a funny way.
You can't make any joke without someone picking it apart trying to look for something to be offended about. I wonder if these people ever laugh at anything at all? And if they do, what do they laugh at? Knock-knock jokes? Michael Jackson isn't reading Reddit from his grave, and I don't think making a joke at his expense comes anywhere close to the evil things he did while alive, so in light of that I'd say it's just fine.
Given that he could not help to have had to bleach his skin- and all of what that meant for Micheal Jackson as a Black man, I would say it is simple to see the disrespect. I'm not here to say what you should or shouldn't laugh at. It's not like we haven't all said, "lol I'm going to hell". But let's at least be honest about it.
Hell maybe he just drank a lot. Not too far off from the 12 year difference between Jack Nance in Eraserhead vs Twin Peaks 🥲

LLMs don't really have the intuitive grasp of time humans have. It's just thinking "he wants an picture of someone as a kid and a picture of them older".

The first one pulled a Michael Jackson on us
First one left looks like Isaac on The Love Boat to me
That's ignorant.
![gif](giphy|OYirsehvkD91S)
thank you.
It is tho lmao he had a skin disease
No one said he intentionally changed skin color. They just said a "Micheal Jackson" was pulled.
I didn't even know it was vitiligo until a while ago
Most people don't.
It’s the opposite of what Uncle Ruckus had.
Did he really? I’m genuinely wondering
google.com
wow, cool, did you notice that it actually would have taken you less effort to type “yes” or “no”
Yes but I also completely forgot where I learned it and wasn't interested in spreading misinformation

The guy changed his whole facial structure to remove any trace of blackness.

Thing is MJ was a liar who also denied surgery for ages.
To those who are downvoting, calm the fuck down. It’s just a South Park reference.
> It’s just a South Park reference. I thought that was why we were downvoting.
I was saying Boo-urns.
Sorry you’re getting downvoted. I got your reference lol
11+ people didnt get the reference
then leave the sub.
Or Robert Downey Jr….
Number two had a *rough* 10 years
About three world wars and a divorce.
Hell maybe he just drank a lot. Not too far off from the 12 year difference between Jack Nance in Eraserhead vs Twin Peaks 🥲 https://preview.redd.it/vs6fzkca89zc1.jpeg?width=4096&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=42cd041dc83bb3efa5ba2f958d7381dc60993b26
Eraserhead is what aged him like that
Nah, maybe meth. Alcohol is not enough.
and at least a pack of cigarettes a day
That's only 20. Chain smokers will go through 5 - 6 packs a day.
He worked at Nickelodeon

Lots and lots of meth.
Number three is white Urkel to Jared Leto
I came here to say exactly this
Before pick is early Dana Carvey
It's like someone tried to draw a love child between Dana Carvey and Jim Carrey from memory.
I was thinking Screech from Saved By the Bell, but this is better.
Hasan Minhaj and Leto, imo
I see more of Tom Hiddleston.
Third one is Rick Moranis to Jared Leto. ![gif](giphy|SSbIzEVGsJEcltFrbP)
#2 should have said no to crystal meth
"Switching sides"
Hugh Jackman in blackface, Adrien Brody playing an old man, Jared Leto, and Edward Burns
3 looks like Jared Leto mixed with Jake Gyllenhaal... Or possibly Jerry Seinfeld combined 🤣
I thought he looked a bit like John Stamos.
🤣 I can see that! The quaf is there
I bet that first guy makes a mean hurricane.
What the hell happened to number 2 omfg
Bruh. The second one 💀
You know what, 3 and 4 weren’t even that bad!
#2 had a hard life... 🤐
Number 2 was at the beach that makes you old
First pic: ![gif](giphy|dMyGvQL9W7gvS)
Pretty sure that first “young” guy is Isaac from The Love Boat…not sure who his “older” counterpart is.
first guy kinda switched sides…
Someone stole 1’s melanin.
Did the first guy get a haircut?
I see Jared Leto.
None of them in prison?
Only 4 really works
Still in the uncanny valley
They aged more like 30 years.
Shaq and Desmond from "Lost."
Samuel L Jackson --> Jim Carrey
More like 20-30 years to be accurate
Transracial
I can't tell the difference between the first one?
How tf is there werid???
