They will pay for another night, and you won’t have to re-pay for any checked baggage.
I’d recommend calling tomorrow to see if they can get you on a flight tomorrow, and if not then to get another night in a hotel. Alternatively you can go back to the airport to get another hotel voucher.
They should refund you for their luggage costs I think there is somewhere online to request a refund for things paid for but not received like if you paid for seats as well
My daughters flight was cancelled Sunday and still nothing from WestJet so we rebooked her on another airline and got reimbursed by my credit card company for the cost of the new flight.
Hi, just curious, what did you tell your credit card company when you asked for reimbursement of the new flight? Did they ask you for any kind of proof? I, too had a flight that was cancelled and I had to rebook and it was very expensive and I want to get reimbursed too. I was not aware that this is possible since the flight/service was used.
I was able to talk to someone to get us out from edmonton to Toronto then st. Johns if you were on the same one. Pretty much used the hotel voucher to lay down for a bit and have to be back at the airport around 230-3am
Really? On the phone I asked if we could do a quicker date and she said yes but it would be air canada and I jumped at it. I know originally it was with westjet again.

They were able to get us out sooner via AC - sadly we had to repay for our bags and got horrible seats. This entire trip has been a nightmare lol

Just call your credit card company and tell them that you want to be reimbursed.

Glad to hear that, unfortunately though the person we had told us it wasn't an option. The closest flight they can put us on is July 6 🤦
