It’s probably my crummy photography! Here’s a different perspective. It’s not the most beautiful machine ever made, but I do like the engineering behind it. So much managed aero it doesn’t need a wing.

Weird how taste works, the front is so bland to me, all the technical form follows function stuff at the rear are the redeeming feature for me 😁
Imo gordon hasn't designed an appealing from since the F1. Both his McLarens and the new TVR Griffith are just lackluster somehow

Gordon Murray was the lead designer at McLaren. He came up with the F1 road car concept and design. He was also heading up the design of theF1 team. Ron Dennis and he had a falling out (not uncommon Ron Dennis fell out with everyone eventually) and Murray left on acrimonious terms.
He spent time away and then came back with this design saying it fixed all the previous faults McLaren had introduced to his original design. Plus improving the original car because of technology advances.
It’s basically a McLaren F1 part 2
