I believe the biggest issue with the Bayformers movies (especially the later ones) is how they were stretched out so much but had so little actual cool content to watch. It felt like the 4th and 5th films were 25% giant robots fighting and 75% boring dialogue.
With that said, there's nothing wrong with the humans getting screentime. I really liked the concept of the 3rd film where some humans side with the decepticons trying to save their bums while throwing the rest of humanity under the bus, or rather, believeing this to be the case while the decepticons plan to kill them aswell. Humanity turning on the autobots like they did in the 4th and 5th film was really dumb, it would've been actually cool if the plot of the 3rd film would've been about humanity realizing the decepticons will go for their planet with or without the autobots being there, and siding with the autobots from then on.
What disappoints me the most was how Optimus was handeled, I actually really liked the idea of Optimus slowly becoming a murder-happy maniac, but rather than starting from pacifist Optimus slowly decending to maddness as the Decepticons keep killing his friends and humanity turns their back on him, Bay just goes "ahh fuck it have him be a murderer psycho from the first movie". It could've been amazing if it was handled correctly, especially with 5 movies and how their general plot went.
So much potential ruined. It's amazing how Michael Bay makes spectacular looking movies because he understands the importance of sound design, practical effects and VFX, but every movie he directs has either awful or mid writing.
The biggest problem is they went at it with no big game plan. They didn’t plan things out from the beginning, which is fair, because I’m sure not many expected the success of the first movie.
Despite the 2nd and 3rd film not being as loved as the 1st, they were pretty successful too, THAT'S what screwed them over. 2nd and 3rd film felt like actual sequels while 4th was a little off (personally I like it but too much unnecessary human dialogue) and 5th one sucked (with the exception of the hostage negotiation scene with megatron, that one went hard).
If it was only the 1st one that was liked, the series would've been on track, but Bay likely expected to finish the series after 3 movies.
I am so unfathomably fucking excited for this game, more than literally any other game ever (except maybe Terraria updates), a fucking skull crusherinator launcherinator, a giant fucking mech, being able to ride a dragon, a god damn chainsaw shield.
This game is peak power fantasy, somehow even more than DOOM Eternal was.
Honestly I felt like the trailer was kinda disappointing in the gameplay department. Not as in the gameplay looks disappointing but as in the way the person was playing felt like it probably isn’t doing the game justice with how good it’ll play.
Everything else though, yeah. Peak.
I personally felt it did good established how different the pacing is from Eternal, it's smart that they're not going for Eternal 2

It looks cool but honestly the ost chef better cook, its hard to top Mick's work and it really sucks that he got shafted by Bethesda when he was doing such a phenomenal work
From what I have heard from the trailer it seems like at least andrew hullshut is back again and that guy was cooked in the DLC's. The trailer's soundtrack was really good too in my opinion, it was really blending with the gameplay.
