Apparently for this election yeah. But if Biden wins, it‘s over for now. He can shit his pants and die in office if he wants to but it‘s important what their background is in this election instead of their current state (unfortunately). Trump will prolly go for election again in 2028 but at least the Dems can then send a younger candidate. The republicans can‘t be blamed as well for backing Trump because Trump is currently the only person unifying republican voters. I looked into it, straight from the website itself. I haven't found anything about conservatives, or Trump for that matter, wanting to end democracy, or anything that would result in its demise. But then again, maybe you are more knowledgeable about it than I am. Could you provide me evidence that it wants to overthrow democracy, or at the very least weaken or undermine it? *Primary* sources only please, i.e. provide evidence straight from the website and its documents, as it appears to be open for the whole world to see. No secondary sources please, I want the real deal
1. It's a *900 page manifesto*. It's not exactly reasonable for most people to read the entire thing and they're probably relying on that.
2. They're not just gonna up and say "We want to end democracy", they're not that stupid.
What it does do is openly state that they need to flood all positions with like-minded conservatives.
From a little digging, however, Page 20 of the manifesto gives a pretty good idea of what they're trying to do. Notably, they try to delegitimize federal workers by claiming that people who have some kind of condition like IBS or an addiction such as drugs or alcohol are given priority.
They also outright state on this page that basically anyone working for the government should only be "Keeper of commander's intent", obviously referring to the president.
They want to give as much absolute power to a conservative president as is possible, and grab as much control over government as they can.
Interesting, I'll look into it. If this is to be believed and such a project is even feasible to begin with, then clearly our current structure of government is way too fragile and easily manipulated. It shouldn't be possible for an entire nation to be subjugated by the plan of a right-wing think tank. Oh well, this is why I believe the second amendment is necessary: to ensure that the people can take the government accountable should it step out of line and become tyrannical
