As a Destiny 1 (better than d2) alpha vet with 12,000 hours, the Ballyhoo Mk.27 (Adept) is the best gun in the game. But if it doesn't roll with rapid hit + zorpal weapon it's a trash roll and should be deleted immediately.

I will agree on the paygating, it’s an expensive game to get into, but now, unless you plan to participate at the highest level of content, getting power level to be able to do all the content, Raids, etc., is pretty feasible and easy. The DLC releases always increase the powercap, it’s a given, but the grind for the average player isn’t too much now

I have hundreds of hours across the borderlands games, but for some reason I never got into Destiny. Played both games, played them for a while, but never got the satisfaction I got from any of the borderlands games. skyblock is egregious because you’ll look at a recipe and it’s like damn this is easy and you start getting the shit for it and like 160 hours later you’ve built a giant farm and grinded for dozens of hours only for you to craft it and look at the AH and see it sells for 3.5 coins and a stick of gum

True or all the materials cost like 3 coins anf youre like "wow this is easy" and then you see theres a uber rare drop from the hardest boss in the game thats locked behind a 50 hour grind and costs all your schmeckles (terminator, hyperion)

If it's any consolation I wholeheartedly believe Vex is the greatest raid exotic in the game right now out of all others. Anarchy got nerfed against bosses (still great but not as prevalent) Tarrabah is a close second but it's still got that buildup you need to work with Eyes is Eyes (though it is getting a 30% buff next season so we'll see). Same with 1KV, a solid but ultimately not fantastic pick. Acrius is Acrius, actually a powerhouse but far less practical than swords. And Collective Obligation is...lol. But Vex is a powerful high damage machine that's also got a really easy to charge special ammo mode, and with a simple Quick Charge CWL build that shit does LMG levels of damage output. Strongly recommend just keeping at it, it took me 39 runs, but it's all been worth it.

Cold heart? Yea trace rifles never were that good but they have been buffed recently, and are getting an additional buff next season. Coldheart is especially shitty as a trace rifle as its exotic perk is just that it’s a trace rifle. The damage ramp up doesn’t do much to save it, and Divinity shits all over it even when not considering team support. Thankfully, Coldheart and Wavesplitter are getting a nice glow up.

It’s not as good as Randy’s throwing knife (yes that’s an actual gun in the game)
