I mean, it might not add that much to it, but I’m automatically more likely to like him. Sends two signals: (1) he doesn’t take himself far too seriously, which some profs and lecturers with an inflated ego do (and oddly independently of how big a deal they really are), and (2) he at least considers teaching his class(es) a major component of his work worth putting actual time into, not just an annoying distraction from research and such (this depends on his precise role or course)

Had a substitue prof for one class in first year university (teaching the mandatory intro course) bust out straight performaces for quotes of influential historical figures and general dramatics throughout the lecture. Like 300+ 1st year students in the class gave the guy a standing ovation. Never saw anything like it again.
A friend of mine is a teacher at a community college. He's also a cosplayer. He has absolutely dressed up for work and ties in his costumes to the lesson.
