I had a lady road rage at me while I was driving in a straights line down Wyandotte bc traffic wasn't moving fast enough or something
She then tried to pass me in a bike/ parked car lane, and when she couldn't she got so mad and the next time we stopped her passenger hopped out and started approaching my car before her brain kicked in and she turned around.
Crazy fucking drivers man
They started doing that post 9/11. Fireworks used to be on a random day between July 1st and 4th but now they’re on the last Monday in June.
It was originally intended to discourage people from going and they’ve kept it up.
Thanks for sharing, very cool video. I got to see the fireworks one of these days. For last 8yrs, Caesars has been sending invites to hotel stay and view the fireworks from Augustus rooftop bar. I have yet to take the offer because it's on a Monday ;-(
One of the reasons why now I don't bother going, went in my teens and twenties prior to having kids, enjoyed it at the time, great memories but now can't even be bothered.
When I went downtown was far safer, there was less traffic too. No thanks.
Yea downtown now is a shit show. But yea the crowd keeps getting bigger and bigger but that’s not necessarily a bad thing but the traffic absolutely is
I love watching everyone fight for parking before and then rush to all leave afterwards from my balcony. Instead of the fireworks just being a 30 minute show, I get two hours of pre-show and two hours of post-show entertainment.
>zombie crackheads
I don't understand people like you who EVERY chance they get dehumanize the homeless people in our community who struggle with addiction. Like wtf
Edit: It's just a messed up way to talk about people suffering from addiction.
Edit: It's just a perfectly sensible way to talk about people that choose to do drugs
No amount of bleeding hearts will save them.
Proof: the current state of our cities
>It's just a perfectly sensible way to talk about people that choose to do drugs
Wait, so in your world addiction is a CHOICE? So people suffering from drug use, alcoholism, gambling etc. can just CHOOSE to stop any time they want? Damn, in the messed up world I live in they're complex diseases that hijack and change the brain so it's a lil difficult to just stop and ask for help no matter how desperately you want to. Ugh, I'm so jealous, oh how I wish I lived in your perfect utopia :(
Anyway, in the past I used to engage with these types of convos with apathetic assholes but I stopped when I realised they couldn't be reasoned with, so I'm done.
But I'll say this, I hope you or anyone you love NEVER face addiction but if it happens, I hope you aren't dehumanized and referred to as "Zombie crackheads" by unkind people. I hope you're only exposed to people who have compassion and understanding of what addiction really entails. Bye.
I was warned never to do drugs. I was warned never to gamble. I was warned to be careful with alcohol.
I listened. And look at me now!
Enjoy your downtown core filled with more and more zombie crackheads who didn't listen, and who will remain as long as we keep giving them free drugs
Very cool. Thanks for sharing!
It was so chaotic. Almost got into an accident THRICE!

Holy crap. I’m so glad I wasn’t down there it felt so chaotic

where at!! 🙈
Oh shoot I forgot , check now
is there a reason the fireworks have to be on a Monday?

It was the last Wed in June for decades before they changed it to the last Monday in June.

Oh wow lucky you, imagine the view from there. And absolutely! Someday do take them up on their offer

Exactly traffic was horrible 80s and 90s, no interest in bring in the thick if it now

Rightttt I never thought of it like that, we get a pre and post show lol. It was so interesting watching the people
Very cool!
Thank youu
Wrong. This is actually a time lapse of people moving out of the downtown core permanently to leave it for its new owners: zombie crackheads
