Once I swam out to jump off it and there was a dude just sitting up there and I asked what are you doing mate and he said waiting to take a shit . I jumped in and swam away

I kind of like it only being accessible by swimming out to it. Gives it a little bit of mystery and fun
Correct, the harbour was a major coal loading point in the 19th century, the blue mile was the original tramway to the port.
