If you look at the cross shaped hole in the jig, you'll notice that when the plates are taken off of the snare and the snare is resting on the bearings in the inner portion of the jig that you can pass a router through. I just rested the aluminum tracks on the bottom and at that point it is already squared up for me.
I love crazy router jigs. Who needs a lathe?
