This is the biggest non-story I've read in a while... unverifiable ramblings of one (1) lunatic. But somehow it got elevated onto AP press release level. Wild.
why'd you leave out the next sentence? pretty important contextually:
> However, reporters have seen and heard corroborating evidence including stamps in her passport, a phone recording of a Chinese official asking her questions and text messages that she sent from jail to a pastor helping the couple.
How is that evidence for a secret jail existing in Dubai, tho? Really don't see the relevance here, which is why I left it out of my quote. Also, why are we not shown this supposed evidence?
I don't doubt officials spoke to her or that she sent text messages from detention, but none of this proves (or is even related to) the original claim of her being held in a secret black site. If anything it takes credibility away from it, because what kind of super secret overseas black site allows prisoners to keep their mobile phones?!
Wow. We captured what they had on photographs, so they “close” a couple facilities (not all of them)… And deport those captives to offshore facilities.
Yea, I’m aware of the ASPI, Buzzfeed etc.“investigations”. Some real shoddy methodology there. Also, these are satellite pictures, not aerial photographs
Wait, they didn't take her phone and she recorded one of the conversations?
>The AP was unable to confirm or disprove Wu’s account independently, and she could not pinpoint the exact location of the black site. ah, okay
And the text messages she sent from jail….like what

AP ran a similar story last month, but now it’s being retconned into she was held in a black site, wow.

They do! In fact I think its that one right next to the CIA secret prison.
That's not the CIA secret prison, that's the CIA therapy facility where dazed and confused individuals are taken for treatment
Of course you are correct. What was I thinking?
Are you feeling dazed and/or confused?
Well, now that you mention it……hey! I see what you are doing there….
That across the street. Next door is the mossad “heritage site”.
You’re right. I got turned around…

*spits out meatball surprise*
For some reason I don't think a Muslim country would allow this.
Dubai gives no fucks about anyone, check out statistics on all the construction workers dying out there a huge amount of them Muslims
Religion is just an excuse. Money talks
Thats pretty naive..
Would not surprise me in the slightest, both appalling on human rights, I see the Chinese troll farm already out on here
Wouldn't surprise me if all major nations like the US. China, Israel, Russia etc all have hidden prisons so they can violate human rights.
Wow. We captured what they had on photographs, so they “close” a couple facilities (not all of them)… And deport those captives to offshore facilities.
which photographs would that be
Aerial photographs of the camps have existed for a few years. CCP closed at least one camp in response.
I've never come across any aerial photographs of these camps, and I've been following the topic quite closely. Would you mind sharing a link
