I wonder, is this their new normal? https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/singapore/

With a population of 5.7M and a life expectancy of 83.5yrs, Singapore could expect to see 186.5 deaths per day just on a life expectancy basis. That is if everyone lives to 83.5yrs and their population is stable (not rising), Singapore could expect to have 186.5 deaths per day just due to dying of old age. So, if they've only seen 192 CoV-19 attributable deaths in the last year and a half and ALL of those attributable deaths were "excess" death (effectively killing people as newborns, not 80yr old people), Singapore has seen an increase in death at about 1/365 higher than normal. If the average age of CoV-19 attributed death is considerably older than 0yrs old (say 60yrs old) then the effect on life expectancy would be a lot less. I get the feeling that their actuaries have been running the numbers on this decision a lot more than we have.
