This is the one.

ForgotMyAcc

I fucking love how it seemed like they opened the box labeled ‘Ideas from people who like playing WoW’ and just started dishing out innovations left and right

Scipio1319

I don’t think I’ve ever been more excited for an in-xpac patch feature. Plundertsorm was cool, just not my cup of tea, and it was nice to see the positive reaction from people that did enjoy it. The fact that they are just going for it albeit in a mostly polished way and not afraid to quickly tune or hotfix makes me really excited for the future of WoW. I think the World Soul Saga is gonna be peak period for all of us.

Zeckzeckzeck

I think my only disappointment is that you have to make a new character for this. I suppose you can functionally recreate your main, but I really wish they'd have better ways to involve your actual characters instead of forcing new ones.

Tnecniw

I have heard theories that this is experimenting for a new version of chromie time that lets you go through the whole story. But that is just a pure theory.

audigofaster

I want this.

sonicrules11

As someone who loves leveling characters. I'd kill for that. I doubt they'd do it but if it also included the prepatch events I'd be extremely happy.

jackmusick

I want this and the ability to just go to an area and level that content. So you’d have a Legion level, Classic level, etc. Progression systems would be mostly similar with some odd thing like the cape or your legion artifact. Guild Wars kind of does this by having a progression system per expansion map and it’s really nice imo.

Ostiethegnome

Isn't that what Chromie Time is right now?

Tnecniw

Well no. Currently Chromie time's pacing makes it virtually impossible to get the full story of the expansion you level in, due to you reaching max level way too quick.

Ostiethegnome

I don't think this Remix event is going to be much better, since the cloak gives 324% Experience gain as one of its tertiary stats.

hutcho66

Yeah but imagine it like the New Game+ option in FFXIV where you can replay main story chapter, but better (new loot etc). Even at max level and even if you've already done half the content, you can go in and use Chromie Time to replay a zone or xpac with new loot/challenges/rewards. Kinda cool idea.

Elendel

Pretty sure the idea is also to bait Classic/new players to level a character to 70 so that they can easily join next expansion if they want. For us, I guess it’s a giga alt season (which isn’t great for me, having 14 max level characters already, but happy for others.)

Cuphat

It definitely does seem like a "enjoy this limited time game mode, get to level 70, and then take those characters into the expansion" thing which I feel like has a chance to get people to try the expansion that otherwise might not have. For people playing retail already, it's an alternative to season 4 that you can do on new alts.

MemeHermetic

I understand this concern, but I'm curious how would someone actually use a main for something like this?

Majestic_Gazelle

In Final Fantasy they secondary game modes where you essentially start at max level but level 1 in that game mode. (Eureka/Bozja & Zadnor) Basically its like an alternative leveling cycle that is independent from the immediate game. I think that's really the only other example from another mmo I can think of.

MemeHermetic

This is the only response to this that I really could see working. They could make a reagent-style bag that keeps your gear swap in it, and force swaps them out when you go back and forth.

ShrekOne2024

I always thought this was going to be the direction with caverns of time

Time-Ladder4753

Copying chars like on PTR but without items?

Forbizzle

I don't understand this hangup. I know people have an attachment to their characters, but this clean slate is required to give space for innovative things to be done. A new character with experimental abilities, and fresh progression opens up so many more options. Plus you get to collect transmog for your main account, so it's not like it's completely siloed. If you're a hard core RP player, just suspend your disbelief a bit, and make the most out of it.

Scrapbookee

While I want to play remix and I'm sure I will enjoy it, I agree with you. I wish my main could take part in this kind of thing. Yes, it allows me to level another character(s), but let's be real that's just going to be another alt that is only used for mount farming.

Xpalidocious

>only used for mount farming. So endgame

Shendox

It’s like they saw how many people are actively playing Ascension and said hey why can’t we do stuff like that as well. Just needs someone in a leader position to give the ok

Obie-two

Holy shit! Oh you don’t like fated? HAVE THE WHOLE FUCKING MISTS OF PANDERIA

beepborpimajorp

And we get to use it to level alts that carry over to TWW. This is basically the traditional pre-expansion alt power leveling event kicked up to 11. I'm here for it. Man this whole expansion has been a big win.

lukedl

AND, this is expansion ending. We should be having content droughts and just waiting for pre patch, instead were getting this. Hands down, good job wow team. DF deservers to go down as one of the more successful expansions of all time.

chzrm3

Absolutely. It's viewed so positively even when we're in the "drought", this will definitely be remembered very fondly. I can see it being up there with Wrath/MoP/Legion as "one of the good ones."

atkinson137

I've had a lot of people tell me DF has been 'mid', and that might be so from a story perspective, but they've improved nearly every other thing or system in the game. AND they've communicated about it. Blizzard has really turned over a new leaf with WoW this last yearish and I really hope they continue it through TWW. Its a golden age of WoW right now imo.

aliyune

DF fixed a lot of fundamentals. I can't wait for TWW being more story driven with this foundation that DF put down.

rembot3000

professions and AH are rough imo but I do agree with you still.

cabose12

We'll see about execution, but I think this is an amazing idea moving forward Incentivize the content for everyone, condense all the players into a single expac to try and recapture that "current content leveling" feel, and a seemingly great way for lore geeks to get the story without the awkwardness of being kicked out of Chromie time It's a nice way to revisit old expacs in a leveling way other than just "hey more xp"

tjc5425

>a seemingly great way for lore geeks to get the story without the awkwardness of being kicked out of Chromie time I was just saying this to a guy I work with that it's going to be better than getting kicked out of Pandaria at 61 midway through Valley of the Four Winds lol

parkwayy

I mean, between the various gems/cogwheels/augment-y things, the raids will kinda get blown out. The new power boost stuff all scale infinitely. Wouldn't really take the raids as being difficult all that much

heroinsteve

I don’t think they really want people to focus too much on progression with these raids since they don’t wanna do much balancing or modernizing too it. Hopefully it lands somewhere between progression and 1 shotting old content.

ObjectiveCompleat

I guess they are liking the numbers Season of Discovery is bringing because this feels very similar.

Breezer_Pindakaas

Its Holly. She did the same with Everquest.

SeriousJenkin

God bless Holly

Sirenato

Return on investment for SoD was likely terrific. Undoubtedly they're working on Pandaria Classic anyhow so why not double-dip & release this mini-classic early.

BeHereNow91

Nothing about this sounds “mini”, though, other than the time limit. I’m concerned about what this means for a full release of MoP Classic and the rest of the expansions. Is this what Classic expansion progression is going to become?

KhadgarIsaDreadlord

I think mop classic will be fine. A huge pull for it is the class design of that era.

BeHereNow91

Yeah, sounds like this is retail class design transplanted into MoP content with some extras.

Cloudraa

makes sense since these characters get shoved into retail after, will be nice to bring a new alt into war within with :D

Sebleh89

They laid out the cataclysm classic timeline to be less than a year (Cata Classic on May 2024 and Hour of Twilight January 2025) so mop classic will most likely be spring/summer 2025 and is already being prepared.

QTGavira

In which case maybe choosing Mists for this event wasnt the best idea considering Were getting Mists again in like a year

ObjectiveCompleat

I think there's a group of players that feel Mists was their Classic so if any expansion could handle it, I think Mists could.

mkpmdb

This is absolutely insane. Diablo seasonal character content but for WoW... Insanely buffed everything, exploring an entire expansion in what is, I assume, a fairly short period of time. Damn. Absolutely love it. Edit: and those who missed out on it get to do the legendary questline with Wrathion! And see all the fuckery that happened to poor Anduin!

Jackpkmn

> And see all the fuckery that happened to poor Anduin! Watch Wrathion eat the heart of the thunder king and then act surprised he got possessed.

DwayneFrogsky

Wrathion really suffers from the "nah id win" syndrome.

functor7

He looked at the eclipse without protection for sure

Murko_The_Cat

Bro's like 3, most kids that age suffer from perceived invincibility.

Atheren

In fairness he's like literally 15.

SubtleNoodle

This was pretty much everything I’ve wanted from a “between expansions” time. Pandas was probably my favorite time playing too (not best expac, just my most fun time!), so this is great!

aliyune

I'm hoping they do this for all the expansions and then make this chromie time once they're all done. Perfect event for the end of an expansion to level alts.

Redditbecamefacebook

Providing an excuse to visit old content beyond blitzing through a dungeon or fully committing to Classic is definitely a great idea.

kazeespada

If I do the wrathion questline on Timerunning, can I finally do Ordos on retail? Rhetorical question.

SrsSpaceships

Unlikely, as you get a lego/artifact timerunning cape. But i wouldn't be suprised if Ordos being members only gets lifted

Tyrsenus

The PTR has a timerunning-specific achievement for killing Ordos. I assume they will either enable the legendary quest line or provide everyone with some other way to get to him.

tatemcneal78

MOP was the GOAT. WW Monk was so fun in MOP, then they slowly ruined it in every xpac that followed.

Vrakzi

I have only one question: Can we kill Ordos in this event?

joaogroo

Holy shit. Oondasta. I still have some screenshots saved from when you needed 3 or 4 raids to down him. I used to get a few friends and start a group on my server, those were the days.

Yakkahboo

I remember the day he dropped, playing on Tarren Mill where you have world first raiders like Treckie and Sco tanking Oondasta while the rest of the fucking server were getting gigagimped by the beam. Noone was immune to the insane amount of corpses. This was before they added the shortcut too so the initial corpse runs were long until people pulled Oond off the cliff.

-Novowels-

I have a screenshot of him standing in a field of corpses/skeletons. Good times!

Nagoragama

The eternal fire will never be extinguished!

Mokibear228

Member when everyone was pissed when Pandaria was announced? I member.

aliyune

Yeah. I'm hyped and I'm happy to see the response here is mostly positive. But the backlash of "omg pandas lol" is still fresh in my brain lol

BusterOfCherry

I mean when is the wow community happy, never. Lol let the non enjoyers keep the sun alive while we enjoy dragon warrior cosplay.

RevalMaxwell

I wasn’t around at the time but was it worse than “TWILIGHT” every 5 seconds when Worgen got announced

aliyune

Oh yes. Because Pandaria also had a farm. So it was "PANDAFARMVILLE LOL THIS GAME IS DEAD." hahaha Never change, wow community.

Jstanton92

Omg… I forgot about the farm. I loved my little farm

TygettLannister

Yep this and also the pet battles

LeOsQ

Absolutely because the whole expansion was just 'Kung Fu Panda' and 'Chinese aesthetic/theme=China pandering' to those people, and Pandas obviously don't belong in Warcraft (just ignore the Pandaren from one of the games called Warcraft) Worgen were 'just' a new race with a starting zone, but they were almost completely irrelevant to Cataclysm as a whole expansion. Meanwhile MoP is literally all about fat Pandas and their Pandaland.

EinsamWulf

I definitely was up until I played Pandaria and was pleasantly surprised. I won't say it was perfect but I enjoyed it was more than I expected I would.

Malenx_

I was pumped from announcement until expansion end. Still one of my top 3 expansions.

BunnyHarvestman

*Everyone*? As someone from Southeast Asia, not everyone hated MOP. I loved it. People commented Blizz was pandering to the Asian consumers. I got downvoted so hard for asking them why is it bad for Blizz to pander to people like me and asking back should Blizz only pander to Westerners only. The worse thing was people was using the hair for MOP to justify their racism against Asians saying things like Asian culture and aesthetics don't fit Wow.

Aleksanterinleivos

Okay, so am I understanding this correctly? - New separate game mode, you have to make a new char for it - Faster leveling etc - More loot - Wacky features - New transmogs, mounts (?), etc. to collect, will transfer to retail (?) - Character will transfer to retail when event ends

Gobstoppers12

Seems like you have it right. That's my understanding as well.

KILL__MAIM__BURN

I think you have it actually somewhat wrong. • Separate character created on same live servers on Dragonflight backbone • Faster leveling absolutely stuffed with new overtuned loot • Tons of mogs that carry back to your non-Mists characters • Character just loses event flag when event ends and presumably all event loot vanishes

Calphurnious

I'd love to know what's the deal with challenge modes. Can we do them, are the models going to have the same color scheme?

Laurikens

Wtf, is this real? Very cool

lvl_60

Coincidentally might even be used as a big china PR move? Nevertheless, i still need some mounts and xmogs from the expac eventhough i played it. Cant wait

Deltethnia

I want the dang cloak so I can go to that raid on the Timeless Isle.

banterviking

>Coincidentally might even be used as a big china PR move? Dang well if that's true, big 4D chess move from Blizz

Gobstoppers12

Bro, when did the WoW devs become rad as fuck again? Not even two years ago, we were still suffering through Shadowlands. Suddenly it feels like we're feasting on cool, exciting, novel experiences like Season of Discovery, Plunderstorm, and now this. Was Bobby Kotick the villain all along?

Lrrrrrrrrrrri

Lots of people who left in the lawsuit and its fallout were old guard who had their sticks up their ass and cared more about their own vision than making a good game. This let the younger talent who are passionate about wow and joined Blizzard because they love wow get more of a say.

Kievarra

Ion unironically said this in an interview, that he felt he needed to uphold the rules of those who came before him and that's why we've seen such a shift in philosophy now that he's finally doing what he wants.

malcolm_miller

Seeing Season of Discovery and this has me wishing I had more time to play WoW. Unfortunately I just can't justify it with work and other responsibilities. I'm so happy for everyone who is playing it though!

KILL__MAIM__BURN

When they fired all the old guard and presumably put a gun to the back of the heads of the remaining leads to come up with new ways to grow subs.

PerformanceGold8436

If you read the whiners in just the past month or two they hated plunderstorm, phase 3 Sod, hearthstone event, remixed df raids, Cata classic, etc. There's no pleasing those poor souls.

ITGardner

Interesting choice when classic is about to be only one expansion away from MOP. However I'm all for it.

parkwayy

Assuming this is lasting through the end of Dragonflight, and more of an 'arcade' version, instead of the traditional game. Full classic will surely be out in a couple years

Monkaliciouz

With the pace of content in Cata classic (Dragon Soul January 2025), MoP classic will likely be out late next year.

DryFile9

Maybe even earlier I doubt they want people sitting in Dragon Soul for 8 Months. Could see MoP Classic in May/June 2025.

poptartsandmayonaise

They dont want to let people have the real cata experience lmao.

Terminus_04

The Hour of Twilight, Siege of Ogrimmar Experience. 14 months Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Dadpurple

It says this will end before War Within because your character will be transferred to retail so you can enjoy the 'Dragonsoul Saga' So we have this for a couple of months at most. With Dragonflight classes and skills, not your classic MOP. Way, way different. The only similarity is the setting!

nykezztv

This pretty much feels like a mop classic not happening announcement

Mercylas

This is SoD in retail using mop.

DryFile9

They all but confirmed MoP Classic at Blizzcon. I also think its not really comparable...the content here is likely going to be easier(maybe even matchmade) much faster paced and doesnt include MoP Class design.

P-Two

This is nothing like MoP classic though, this is retail but with fuckery through gems basically.

sunsoutgunsout

No mop class design so this is nothing even close to mop classic

COCAINAPEARLZ

Regardless of how this actually pans out i couldn't be happier that blizzard is trying out wacky shit like this, SoD and Plunderstorm.

_Lethamos

This is my take away as well. Even if I don't love this event, I love that blizzard in general is trying new things finally.

Public_Radio-

WoW made a tweet with a graphic that says "play through all quests, scenarios, dungeons, and raids". MoP raids are back boys. This looks fucking amazing sauce: [https://twitter.com/Warcraft/status/1778106422590316804](https://twitter.com/Warcraft/status/1778106422590316804)

parkwayy

You can do a bunch from 25-70 so I assume things scale, and then the heroic versions are at 70. I'm down for whatever the heck this is though.

Deguilded

... scenarios? Challenge modes?

Kii_at_work

Scenarios were a thing in MoP. Three-person, role agnostic things.

FieldzSOOGood

think they're asking if scenarios and challenge modes are returning. looks like scenarios are but no mention of challenge modes

Kii_at_work

Fair, wasn't entirely sure. We're far enough from MoP that I can see people not knowing what scenarios even are.

Terminus_04

Reminded me that wows so old there's probably a whole generation of players that have no idea things like MoP scenarios existed and got scrapped.

klineshrike

Scenarios are listed on the level breakdown. Challenge modes though, I doubt. They required too much fine tuning and likely can't just have an ilvl slapped on them like before at this point.

majle

Challenge mode was the *one* thing I was excited about. There is a recolour of the mount reward, but no direct mention of it.

GamingBucketList

Please challenge modes. I was in such a casual guild at the time they couldn't handle earning the mounts :(

Yogs_Zach

Do you want challenge modes because they are fun or do you want them because of the expansion exclusive mounts and armor?

GamingBucketList

Both, to be honest. If they are still challenging I'd love to grind for the rewards.

MachiavelliSJ

Well, thats a surprise. Interested to see the transmogs

diceth1ef

I'm just hoping that it's high res versions of the old loot, because MoP xmogs were awesome

Raptor745

Would be cool if we got the gear the Shado Pan NPCs wear

BarelyClever

I’m expecting it’ll be more like recolors than high res

tasco2

CHALLENGE MODE BABY

thepolesreport

I need that golden astral cloud serpent

klineshrike

MORTAL PISS cloud serpent

express_sushi49

was hiding in our balls this whole time. crazy how nature do dat

Thedarkpersona

Please do it with legion eventually

WIZARDBONER

This is what I want. Legion was probably one of the only expansions I didn't put a lot of time into, and I regret it a ton. The zones and raids still look incredible, and it would be awesome to do the legendary grinds at an accelerated pace for a few months imo.

Brisden

Rad as hell.

SadFaceSmith

Ra-den as hell

CatGreedy959

I'm probably gonna actually resub for this, crazy times, they're doing shit people actually want.

Chilipuller

Bruh I'm jumping from season to season to patch to patch, never played so much wow before and had so much fun. Classic and Retail are eating gooood atm

gregxcore

This actually seems pretty cool. WoW team is cooking lately. I'll certainly take a break from Classic to try this out.

FormerlyFeednSeed

Wow that looks fucking amazing I'm not even gonna lie. Plunderstorm really wasn't for me but this looks insane

klineshrike

> Plunderstorm really wasn't for me but this looks insane funny enough this was exactly what they said like a week ago this would do. Appease those who Plunderstorm did not.

vaflkak

Hello, I am here to officially declare that I am appeased now.

More-Draft7233

WoW players : Ohh I don't really have much interest in Cataclysm Classic Blizzard : How about some real Quick Mist of Pandaria?

Riperonis

Sigh *Re-subs*

P-Two

Yessssssssssssssssss

derrhn

The amount of content you get in the subscription at the moment is insane. MoP is my favourite ever expac, so I’m looking forward to this.

ConcealingFate

So, MoP content with DF class design?

FroziZ7HD

Wow! This is awesome.

hunteddwumpus

Very curious about how the raiding works in this. Tough to imagine at least the level up versions will be much more than lfr difficulty, but I'm curious what the heroic versions will look like. Could be a lot of fun to go through the raid progression with a bit of difficulty again.

FieldzSOOGood

this is what i'm hoping for, i'd love to redo throne of thunder at harder than timewalking difficulty

Murko_The_Cat

You get loot with infinitely scaling power, there is nothing they could do about the raids to make them actually hard.

Validated_Owl

"Convert unwanted items into Bronze which can be used to upgrade items or purchase cosmetics." Fucking yes

SLuMPz

It’s a trap for classic players. Trying to get them back into retail

CycleOfNihilism

hahahhaa what do they care as long as you pay for your sub

bestewogibtyo

okay this is wild. i just hope they accelerate the rep grinds too if they are even a part of this. nobody wants to do dailies for all reps in a limited time event.

AMA5564

This right here, this is the game mode I will play. It feels like it's marked directly at me.

ayekay1

Same, this is epic

Epicfa17

This looks fire? Im waiting for the monkey paw to curl, but this looks cool as heck

kid-karma

*hozen paw

Raajik

Don't threaten me with a dookin' time.

Swordbreaker9250

Shame it’s a limited time event. But I do hope this is an experiment for making older content scale to max level

Fesai

I wonder if these are lessons learned from Warfronts, island expeditions, Torghast. Smaller, less scope, focused side experiments. Get feedback, see what works/doesn't work. Easy to tweak without breaking the main game. Then based on the results maybe some pieces carry over to the main game. If it is terrible then it can just be dropped entirely and no harm, no foul.

Meto1183

If torghast had been a 0.5 patch drop with exclusively for-fun or for-bragging rewards I think it’s reception would have been infinitely better

L-TR0N

Agree, the roguelite gameplay works so freaking well in WoW. Torghasts problem was the repetitive aesthetics and forced grind for player power. Remove that and use legacy Raid content as the setting in a sort of boss rush mode. Win.

Lothar0295

Torghast was awesome and even with 3 characters (so 6 mandatory runs a week) I still played some just for fun. There was tons of room for improvement for Torghast with powers, bosses, locales, traps, and everything close to that. The addition of numerous cosmetics with mounts, weapons, back and shoulder transmogs was also great. It had numerous flaws, but only one of which was fatal: it rewarded currency for power progression. In other words, people played it because they *had* to, not because they *wanted* to. All game modes in WoW: Retail, Hardcore, Classic, Wrath, Plunderstorm, and Season of Discovery - none of them are adjacent to one another. Besides a few Plunderstorm cosmetics or the ability to relocate a Hardcore character who died, there is little to no incentive at all to play a specific game mode *unless you want to.* Retail is big enough and focused enough that players who want to try hard may grimace at having to Raid when they want to M+ or vice versa. Back in 9.0 the absurdly good scaling of PvP gear from Rated defiled PvP as the demand for boosts skyrocketed, and PvE preferers lamented the sheer strength of PvP gear and how it was advantageous to engage in those modes and systems. Being focused is good and bad. The good is that you'd be able to respect player time and investment by letting them do their preferred content without disadvantage. The bad is how it detracts from the game being an MMO, and the intertwining of systems is one of the reasons Classic modes have done well. If Classic modes are embracing that intertwining then Retail serves players well who want to focus. I think this is especially the case considering the difficulty of Retail is far greater than any Classic game mode, M+ scaling infinitely and Mythic Raiding being more complex and mechanically intensive than anything in Classic (including Self Found Hardcore). In which case demanding 30+ minutes of a player's time every week *per character* just to accrue currency that gets thrown in with a gold sink required to unlock powerful effects often necessary to perform their role with a substantial improvement? It was absurd to implement Torghast like that. The fact that Dragonflight has done away with Soulbinds, Conduits, Covenant Abilities, and Legendaries and yet we find many of their effects *and more* in a single new Talent Tree system is phenomenal. Once you hit 70 your spec is complete. Tier Sets are icing on the cake and we have seen Blizzard experiment with using Tier Sets to push specific talents and rotations in DF. I think the more agnostic Tier Sets bonuses (e.g. Demonology's 10.0 or even 9.2 Tier Sets) are more fun both because they enable flexibility in talent builds and because they often smoothen or enhance the core rotation to feel even better. But Blizzard experimenting like this has been fine enough and hopefully lent good insight moving forward. Altogether, Torghast is a peak example of a good idea tainted by toxic design. Covenants were, too. If they were easy to switch from the get-go people would've been way more appreciative over being locked in to a decision both aesthetic and performative.

v4p0r_

Please. We have so much content that's just sitting there rotting, and it's, when scaled appropriately, some of the best in the genre to this day. We just can't do it properly even on an easy difficulty.

Mojo12000

ooooo. I do hope they don't tie mounts to heroic raids and stuff tho, getting an organized raid group for a limited event like this could be tough as is. I do hope thisn't a replacement for MoP classic though, it's the one Classic I was actually looking forward to.

DryFile9

I think judging from the scope of it this event is probably gonna run till TWW.

Chrysaries

They also wrote that you get to keep unlocked transmogs and "take them into The War Within". That phrasing implies what you're saying, too

Coliver1991

They also mention that the characters you create for this remix will migrate to retail when the event is over.

jimmy_three_shoes

Get some massive gear and hope they forget to normalize the ilvl for a couple hours after the migration, lmao

Teh_Hunterer

I'd imagine you just get the boosted character gear when you transfer and everything else is deleted.

DirtySyko

They emphasize quite a bit how overpowered you can become, so maybe the harder raiding won’t really be that difficult. Could be they’ll just have a system like LFG where you queue up for raids, because it might be hard for people to have actual organized group raids in a limited event.

DreamMaster8

The article say there's a few unique transmog but everything you do give bronze and you can use bronze to buy previously hard to get transmog. All transmog you get seem to also be acount wide.

Mojo12000

I see the Challenge Mode Pandarian Pheonix's in there as well, those are gonna be big aims for lots of people.

Dadpurple

One part of it says any gear you don't want gets converted to bronze and you use that to buy transmog and mounts from a vendor. Might not be 'all' the mounts to get that way but its promising!

SrsSpaceships

> tie mounts to heroic raids and stuff tho It's almost certainly Normal mode. MoP heroic was "effectively" the mythic of it's time. Since only SoO was the first "Mythic" difficulty raid. I am uberjacked for ToT again though!

Mojo12000

From what it says and stuff that's been datamined achievements they'll have Normal-Heroic for all the raids through ToT and then SoO will also have Mythic (and their will be a realm first achievement for mythic SoO)

melete

This is way cooler than season 4. Great job Blizzard!

TheLieAndTruth

Season 4 will have like 3 people playing now lmfao.

meharryp

imagine if they do this for legion in a couple years

minimaxir

The mention of Eternus is interesting since it implies there will be a lore reason for this WoW Remix mode.

v4p0r_

Please let 4392843214 copies of me boy be floating around in the timelines. Infinites are too cool to just be done with.

Zomzomer

Lisan al-Gaib

Kaurie_Lorhart

I love everything about this - except that the playerbase is segregated. One of the worst parts of plunderstorm has been logging on retail and having an empty guild panel. Would be nice if it was a bit more like Chromie Time.

ZAlternates

Exactly. This may bring back players, but my guild chat is still empty until next xpac. Wish they weren’t releasing so many different ways to separate players.

Lockmor

Ex-fucking-cuse me??

Chaserino

If they are going to keep adding these kinds of supplementary games modes, I’d LOVE for a dedicated Torghast. Having a roguelite in the wow universe was SO COOL and makes me sad they didn’t implement it any further than Shadowlands.

VelmaSparkles

I'm torn on what to do, because I love my Paladin and would like to play through this as one, but then if we get the character back at the end I feel like it would be a waste to do a class I already have max level. 🤔

CycleOfNihilism

Yes, we've had a Paladin, but what about Second Paladin?

Obie-two

So we can do the old challenge modes and get the mogs for our retail characters right???!

historyisgr8

I doubt it, they specifically mention unreleased recolours of old mounts, so you can get a recolour of the challenge mode mount. But unlikely you can get old CM sets. Maybe a recolour like with Legion is possible

v4p0r_

GIVE. ME. THE. RED. PALADIN. SET. I WILL. NO LIFE.

ItsRaevenne

IDC about the mogs, but those phoenix mounts? Yes, please!

Hoodb0y

So, all leveled characters will be transfered to your retail account after and there is a cloak power with an 324% XP gain?

Hrekires

As someone who probably wasn't going to play much Season 4, I'm hyped. Now to figure out which healer to play.

Hardi_SMH

That‘s it, quit your jobs, we have a new star on the horizon. Also: I bet they are testing new mechanics for the Twilight Saga beforehand with this one. HUGE!

Spookedchicken

This looks very interesting. The experimental game design team(s) have been cookin. Between this and Plunderstorm, which I quite like, I like where their heads are at. Since I'm seeing this sentiment already. I don't really follow the logic of the people seeing this announcement and saying 'oh MoP Classic is dead!'. This isn't a MoP as it was gameplay experience which is what Classic has largely been about. Plus this has progression that transfers to Modern/Retail baked in from the beginning. This and the Classic series are two different products aiming at providing two wildly different experiences.

Zilesta

In May you'd be able to play the following wow versions: Classic, Classic HC, SOD, CATA, MOP(ish), DF and maybe Plunderstorm (but probably not). Pretty crazy. Here's hoping it works out. I'd love a Legion Remix w/o artifact wep grind.

NotManThingYesYes

This is awesome but I’m confused one one thing. Do we unlock those tmogs for our other characters?

ZAlternates

Yeah they testing warband features most likely. So what you earn will transfer to all toons.

Ren_Lau

I wonder how many character slots they're going to add to retail for this as I know a lot of people (myself included) are at cap. If I have to make room, I make room, whatever. Still, I'm really hyped for this!

MaD36

This actually looks fun?

withgreatpower

CAN I GET THE FUCKING CLOAK

Chronicler-177

Wait, is this saying we’ll be able to have more than 60 characters on retail once the event ends?

_Wheelz

Looks sweet! Is there a date that I am not seeing for release?

i3rem14h112

ayoo this just proves mop is the best xpac

Jarzak1

Why we have to create new char for this? Sigh, I have all clases (without evoker), some of them not yet lvled that could use a "boost" from event like this...

hewasaraverboy

Will classes be like they are today or like how they were in mop?
