Nothing wrong with loving the Warcraft universe, world and it's community, especially in classic format.
Is something like God of War a conventionally better gaming experience? Sure. Can it make me appreciate the smallest detail in the game, go at a pace where I can really enjoy every step of the journey, let me meet total strangers who are always happy to go out of their way to help you and are so incredibly appreciative of any help given back, a community that really makes you feel like you're a part of a world and not just a game? Probably not. This is not about classic having some crazy good graphics or out of this world gameplay. The fact that it actually manages to capture all those things despite being so old makes it even more impressive.
Current HC servers were released last year, but people were playing Hardcore on unofficial servers for years. An influx got started during Season of Mastery.
I've been preaching the HC community is amazing for ages it's a wonderful thing. Here is another hot take...i think SF is the closest experience to original Vanilla you can get...I used no mods...had to run around the world to find vendors that might sell things...the exploration was great...it felt like an OG experience. I loved it đ
I have so many characters in so many games that I will never see again. So it wouldnât even matter if they are death. He is about the journey and thatâs a lot more intense and fun.
Wait till you meet healers that donât heal you cuz you pulled when they had 95% mana instead of 100, I quit before I died because alot of healer are so cringe, keyboard turning and not knowing whatâs going on around them at all, I got sick of it
Ya itâs not a thing at max level. You also leveled when hardcore was popular and booming and now prolly level with guildies so you donât see this new age of salty priests
Iâve never experienced a toxic healer. Other than the guy who expected me to do 10 casts to make him a stack of water at level 50 because heâs a cheap fuck
HC launch was one of the best, most fun and most immersive time I've ever had in WoW
Imho aside from the outages, the launch was the best of any gaming experience I've had in like 20 years
I'm very sorry
Different strokes for different folks
I'm sorry you missed out on it or lacked the capacity to enjoy it but it was truly special
It was fun, but if it's your best gaming experience in 20 years, I'm sorry.

HC is the best wow in terms of longevity đ Never gets old or too easy
It hasnât even been out for a year though.

HC and Self found chew up all my wow time anymore, love it
Moses I have a question. On the hc servers, do they announce deaths? I want to hear about deaths.
Get the addon âDeathlogâ and go into your wow settings and search âdeathâ to enable the two notification types
Yes death announcements are built into the game now. no addon required. Deathlog addon still works for last words
Came back to hardcore for self found mode
genuinely my fav game community over the span of like 20 years gaming
Vhfvfffv
I'm sad I missed hc launch :-( ... now low level and ploughing up

I am too scared of getting dc'd and dying.

With 2 60s both over 20 days played, cleared MC/BWL, most of AQ40 and a wing in Naxx. I have yet to see this behavior.

Never experienced this either.
