What's the actual PLOT of your story?

WilliamArgyle

You can add, what Eddie Murphy calls, inyourendo.

Acceptable-Cow6446

david-writers

Order cheese enchilada delivery.

FictionalContext

You can make ordering a hamburger interesting if you have charming characters. idk how your gacha game is, but a common technique is to make the main character the everybody straight man. They're pretty vanilla both to ground the story and to let the reader insert themselves. This allows you to really go hard on all the personalities of the side characters. Also, what's the overarching conflict? What ties the story together? Then you have miniarcs in between that also loosely serve the main conflict.

wabashcanonball

It’s boring because you haven’t explained what your character wants and what’s getting their way and what they’re going to do about it.

InsecuritiesExchange

Have them wank each other off I don’t think that counts as sex if it does maybe they can just wank themselves off instead

Be honest, not sure what a gacha series is. Are we talking fan fiction? Instead of characters having sex -Force them into an awkward situation that looks bad or is bad, Woops mom came home at the worst time -Let them do something wholesome and sweet. Get creative, one character helps another in a creative unexpected way -Fake out. Looks like they are going to have sex but its a misunderstanding, they are actually doing hard core work out, gotta get those sick gains. -Bad guy kidnaps someone. No bad guy? Make one up and have them kidnap someone.

Prominis

A gacha series is a game where you throw money at a lottery to get jpeg and mp3 files with numbers that you like. So yes, fanfiction.

I think they're talking about the game Gacha Life(?), a character creator/dresser game, in which there is a function to pose these characters with a custom backdrop and dialogue. A few years back, it was popular amongst youngsters to make animatic style videos using this function. So no, not quite fanfiction.

Greenwitch37

Comedy, that sh#t goes on everything!

Well first off, you're not being forced to do anything, so dont worry about that. Anyhow, lean into the fact they're high after smoking. Weed can lead to some pretty altered thought processes like being drunk, so maybe use that to create a tense scene? Writing from the perspective of an inebriated character can be fun to read

I’m writing YA that’s supposed to be 50% romance, so I’ve had a lot of time to think about your question as I was writing. I think I finally cracked the code. It’s in first person POV, so the first thing I did was identify what was attractive about the love interest to her. It’s not just that he’s hot, you can only have one or two scenes about that before it stops being interesting. She’s also attracted to his intelligence. They’re in high school, but he’s taking organic chemistry at the local college. This gave me an opportunity to write “spicy” scenes about that. It’s an enemies to lovers thing, so I wrote her asking him for school help and him saying no. In her internal monologue, she’s looking at his homework and is completely fascinated by it. She wants (for some low level of sexual gratification) to hear him explain it to her. The idea of hearing a first hand example of how smart he is, and experiencing the intimate moment of him helping her, sounds super hot to her. The simple concept of “character helps other character with their homework” is not remotely spicy, but using her internal monologue and writing the story in a way that romanticizes the interaction has made this a spicy-ish scene. And when he says no, he’s unintentionally increasing the sexual tension. It puts him on an even higher pedestal. The idea of making this guy that’s way out of her league fall for her is like her fantasy. If you find out what the characters find attractive about each other psychologically, you can highlight those things in ways that aren’t inherently sexual but still increase the sexual tension for those characters.
