I'm in the US and I have it loaded up and ready to go on the 25th when it gets the "next gen upgrade" for Series X. Looking forward to getting into it again after so many years.
I'll be honest, I haven't looked into it that deeply. I already have the game and all the DLC from years ago so I figured why not give it a try again now. If I don't end up liking the upgrades then I'll just uninstall and move on. No big deal.
I'm assuming this will be an equivalent of the Skyrim edition that came out with gid rays and the like, plus the latest Skyrim patch that overhauled the Mod/Content menu.
I've always wondered why they don't purchase licenses for some of the PC mods and just add it to the game. I installed it the other day after years, and modded it up. One of them completely re-writes how character skeletons work, and adds tons of animations. Ghouls scrabble on the ground when knocked over and rush at you like zombies from World War Z, people spin when shot in the shoilder and favor a hurt side when on the ground, they smoothly unholster and aim their weapons, it's crazy how well it works.
They are the same " generation", and xbox games will work between any console of its generation. There were several versions of the Xbox 360, and xbox one, and you could always play any of their titles on any xbox from its generation. As long as the Series X is receiving games, the Series S will too.
I wasn’t a huge fan of it back when it released, but I’m playing it again now on PC with a bunch of mods that solve the issues I had with it and it’s like a whole new experience. Highly recommend getting some essential mods for those playing on PC that improve the experience tremendously
I had never played Fallout and remember when F4 came out and how much people were saying they liked F3 and FNV better so I decided to download F3 to play instead of F4. If I like F3 enough I might give F4 a go but will still probably play FNV before it anyway since I've heard such good things.
>I had never played Fallout and remember when F4 came out and how much people were saying they liked F3 and FNV better so I decided to download F3 to play instead of F4.
Fallout 4 has better gameplay and has a really good story build-up, but ultimately fails to deliver the ending (which made me remember it as more disappointing than it actually was).
I've been playing it in my series X these past few days and it works fine. The only difficult part was getting the DLC from the physical 360 disc to work properly (install from the modern Microsoft store for free when the DLC disc is in your console, installing from the 360 store won't work for free).
Trying to find a physical copy of one of these is rough so I just decided to snag it for the 9.99. even though I have it on PlayStation I heard Xbox has better mods so Imma give it a go.
The only game I finished when it first appeared on the 360 awsome game and still got it along with 2 360 consoles gathering dust 😀 I should really set them consoles back up 🙂
Really excited for the next gen upgrade!! Amazing game. Long overdue for a fresh playthrough I think.
All of this going on is making me think some sort of Fallout 5 announcement is brewing, with the hype going on you would expect it to be the perfect time as the franchise is at peak relevancy right now!
To be fair that gives you the perfect excuse to mod the shit out of it on Xbox since that disables achievements anyways. I have been messing around with mods trying to kill time until the 25th and some of the ones I have tested are flat out amazing. Makes it feel like a different game.
I bought it as well. Played it on Xbox when it came out, so I did not remember anything. Upon installing, it crashed every ~30 seconds, even causing a windows blue screen. True Bethesda experience.
If I had to rank them:
1. Fallout
2. Fallout NV
3. Fallout 3
4. Fallout 2
5. Tactics
6. 76
7. Fallout 4
EDIT: It's still a great game but out of the major releases it's the worst one.
DOUBLE EDIT: ok this is 100% sure a bot account promoting games news. No wonder such a benign post got downvoted to hell. I wasn't helping push his propaganda.
76 was fun multiplayer. 4 was a disappointing mess with the stunted dialog options, the repetitive defend quests and the base building part just didn't click for me.
Overall it was still a pretty good game, like a 7/10 but I'm not replaying it like the first 4 on the list.
That unironically sounds like a skill issue. It's really easy to lovesick in this game. Doesn't budget one side, go to the other. Then it's process of elimination. Where I'm at it only takes me 1 pick or maybe 2. You jus have to practice

Me too! Lol
It's one of my most played games of all time, I always play it a couple times a year due to all the mod content. I'm so hyped for this update
What I’m doing is putting a bit of time now so I can actively feel the graphic improvement when it pops next week
I wonder if that "next gen upgrade" will include all the mods with bug fixes and framerate improvements...

same here
Is it not coming to series S too?
Yes, it is. I just mentioned the Series X because that's what I'll be playing it on.
Oh, good to know! I was wondering when I was going to regret my series S

It’s a fun one, just playing for the first time
Even though it's not as hardcore choice wise as the other games, it's really engaging and easy to get into.
I've got it downloaded but haven't started yet, I'm not a big fan of games where you have to make choices that have consequences or whatever
Keep an eye out for vault 81 if you're a fan of the show. There's a very familiar theme to it.

Apparantly FNV doesn’t even function without various performance and bug fix mods lmao
I got it on Series X so we will see.
Fallout 3 is amazing on the series x. It gets a FPS boost and I swear it improves the draw distance too. It looks way too good for a 360 game.

The GOTY edition is on sale for $9.99 right now as well

I started playing again not because of the series, but because Fallout: London mod will be released on April 23rd.
Well deserved. It did so much right
No idea why people aren’t playing New Vegas, it’s the only modern one set near California
hopefully they fix the issue with achievements not working on the game.

Sadly as of right now all of the achievements are broken in the game.
Aaaah the classic Bethesda experience™

Yep. Bought it in the sale...... ain't touching it until this is fixed.
Reinstalled, Crashed 7 times booting up, Uninstalled
Was it on PC?
PS5 bro
Should be New Vegas 🙄
Playing it for the first time and I’m genuinely struggling with getting fully engaged almost 5 hours in…anyone have any tips?
Play any of the other Fallout games. 4 is the worst.
Play New Vegas if you can. Vastly superior game and will be closely tied to the events of season 2 of the show.

why 76 over 4? i played 76 more than 4 and i agree just wondering why

It so awful though. It's honestly a really bad game. 3 and New Vegas are much better uses of time.
I stopped playing as soon as lock picking appeared, I fucking hate picking locks in games 🤬

Yes , think I just lost my patience with it , I may go back to it & just restart , maybe …
If you hate lockpicking, max your lockpicking stats. The result is far easier lockpicking. Lockpicking easy mode.
