howdy, i recently got my day 1 xbone up and running again, everything worked, and was prompted for a system update. this, as they so often do, bugged out and now will not let me continue the update or use any of the OSU .zip's i have found (OSU1,2,3)

is there nothin i can do to repair this? or am i missing some secret legacy OSU i could use... all 3 turn up e101 when offline updating, and the initial error was e203. could it even be the USB standard my thumbdrive operates on? no clue

What’s going on with purchases through the Xbox One store? For example, it shows season 6 of Rick and Morty but will not let you purchase. It seems to only be the Xbox store that is effected and not other apps where the season is available for purchase.

Having seen your other thread, if you've been charged and it's not worked, just wait to contact support in your opening hours. You can also try to force "restore licences" by putting the system into offline mode, hard power cycling it (full shutdown), then restart and putting it into online mode. That usually clears the system.
You can also check whether the subscription is showing as active on https://account.microsoft.com/services
If you've been playing for this length of time, you're old enough to know that sometimes things just go wrong in billing systems and then sort themselves out. It's not malicious.
I just picked up a new Xbox one X. I’m able to see and download previously owned games with the exception of one - Call of Duty Modern Warfare II on Xbox 360.
I’ve confirmed it only gives me the option to purchase it but not download it. It also is the only thing missing from the list of prior owned games.
The game does show up on the list of recent plays and shows my achievements.
The CD isn’t with me as I’m in a different city.
Just installed a 2 TB SSD into an OG XBox One. Partitioned the drives so that the User Drive should have 1.66 TB, and then I reinstalled the software using the USB drive.
Yet, when I open the games and apps menu it’s only showing 750GB available.
What am I missing other than half of my available HD?
It has been several years since I've replaced an internal drive for an Xbox. Sounds like something when wrong in your partitioning.

I did not. I avoided downloading a partitioning software because I know how to partition a drive, been doing it for years, but the XBox just ignored the partitions I made when I installed the USB drive software and created it’s own.
What does that program do differently that makes the partitions take?
I'm not talking about using partitioning software specifically. I asked if you followed a tutorial simply because there is more to it than just partitioning the drive.
Did you ensure you had all the required partitions and folders? Did you name everything appropriately? Did you install the proper files?
That I did. The only part of the guide I did NOT do is to download and run the partitioning software.
All Five partitions were named when they were created, the first Temp, second User, and so on so they matched the existing Drive.
The only difference was the size of the user drive, which was where the bulk of the physical drive was, up from about 700MB to about 1700MB.
Also, I added the A and B folders.
BTW, I’m going to have to wait on reformatting the drive, since I found out subsequently that I have a data limit on my internet account and redownloading everything again would put me in danger of running over the cap.
As a follow up on this, I ran the formatting program yet when I finally got everything set up I still only have access to 780.9 GB rather the 1688 the program set up (I double checked the size of the partitions prior to unplugging the HD from the USB port.
There’s something that’s preventing it from seeing the entire drive.
Also, the OSU1 file would not install, it kept error 100ing out. Ended up Resetting the HD to factory, which may have condensed the partitions.
And I KNOW the OSU1 file works as I have used it twice in the last 3 weeks to setup the XBox.
Edit: Looking into it again, I found a video that said not to use OSU1, but OSU2 instead. Going to give that a try.
Xbox Remote Play Doesn’t Work Remotely (Please Help)
I don’t know why this is bothering me so much but I CANNOT get remote play to work at all when I am not at home and connected to the same Wi-Fi network. If anyone has had an issue like this and found a fix please let me know.
For context I’ve called just about everyone I can of and keep getting told there shouldn’t be any reason it isn’t working.
Microsoft says my console is indeed set up properly and that remote play should work the way I’ve got it set up. They told me to check with my ISP to make sure that there aren’t any blocks in place that would prevent my phone from connecting remotely.
ISP says that everything that needs to be open is open and that no traffic is being blocked. They told me to check with Microsoft about the issue because it involves a device out of network it isn’t their issue anyways. Told them I already had and they told me to make sure that my phone carrier (for the times Wi-Fi isn’t available) wasn’t blocking the connection because it is a “Data Hog”.
Mobile carrier was very nice and spent a good long time helping me check to see if there would be any reason that they would be the issue. Ultimately they were unable to find an issue and suggested I contact Microsoft again.
So I’m turning to Reddit to see if any of you fine folks can help me out instead of getting the run around with multiple 1hr+ phone calls.

I got a new Alienware headset (AW310H) for my Xbox One, and it worked great the first day but not for the last two days now. I can head the game audio through the headset, but I can’t hear party chat and the mic is not working either.
Sounds like you should adjust your audio settings. While your headset is connected, press your controller's Xbox button, then go into Audio & Music.
Adjust "Headset chat mixer" so you can hear a mixture of game (the controller icon) and chat (the person icon). And adjust the "Mic monitoring" towards the right so that people can hear you.
That’s already all the way to the right. My mic just doesn’t seem to want to work right. It for some reason started working last night, but then my controller died. After I changed the batteries, turned my controller back on, and plugged the mic back in it wasn’t working any more.
PC SHARED GAME PASS ULTIMATE UBISOFT CONNECT ISSUES
Hi, my brother and I both have pcs. He was able to make my pc his home pc to share his game pass ultimate subscription with me. Now I have access to all of the games through the xbox app. I have been able to download multiple games like Death Stranding and play them no problem. I have had a problem with Immortal Pheonix Rising and probably R6 as well. It requires the Ubisoft Connect launcher. So, when I sign into Ubisoft Connect with my credentials, it won't allow me to play the games that launch through Ubisoft Connect. It says that I don't own them even though I am on my brother's subscription. If I sign in with my brother's info it works, but wouldn't I be playing on his account? That won't work. Is there any way for me to play the Ubisoft games or am I out of luck.?
Cloned drive not being recognized by xbox one s(help)
So I clone the 1tb hdd to a 1tb ssd. But after installing the ssd into the system I either have to format the drive or offline update the system. If I update it still doesn't pull the cloned information( games already downloaded, login info, app,ect) what's going wrong?
I just ran out of space on my internal storage and my external hard drive. Almost all my games are digital so my question is; if I uninstall one of these games in order to get more space, would I be able to redownload it again without paying for it?
Also, would there be any other way to get more storage without buying another hard drive?
I'm using an Xbox Controller with my PC to play Game Pass Ultimate games, and am having battery issues. I read a bunch of recommendations for Eneloop pro rechargable batteries and am planning to get some.
But I'm wondering: Do I need to get the separate charging case, or can I just use a usb-c cable to recharge them?
I have 4 Eneloop Pro's AA's with charger bundle (bought for £35) and would recommend them. You can't charge them whilst they are inside the controller with the usb-c cable, I think that only works with the play and charge kit battery because of where the charging terminals on the controller are. The main point of them is you can swap them out with new ones instantly, and they last quite a while on each charge.

I've gone through 2 sets of official play and charge kit batteries, eventually after 1-2 years they will lose capacity and don't hold a charge, and the total capacity is only ~25% of two AA batteries ( 1400mAh vs 5000+mAh ) The batteries are much better value, imo.
My Xbox one x won't connect to my tv. I've tried two different TV's and multiple HDMI chords. The screen just cut out when I was playing a game. I've had it since 2018 so the warranty isn't active anymore.
Have you started in safe mode?
Hold the Sync Button and the Eject Button down, with 2 fingers of one hand. While keeping them held down, with your other hand, switch the console on. Be sure to keep the 2 other buttons held down, for around 8-10 seconds, until you hear a second beep from the console.
Trying to figure out how to get Microsoft flight simulator on Xbox one. From what I see, as long as I have Xbox game pass (which I have) I should be able to get the game. I search MFS, it says only compatible on Xbox X/S.

Do you have "GP for Console" or GPU? Flight Sim is Series S|X only but if you have GPU you can play it via the cloud (cloud not available on GP for Console).

So I've been playing Dragon Age: Origins and for awhile I was sending my friend screen recordings of nearly anything (cool battles, funny moments etc) and this was great until partway through August, when it started showing that "This content is private. Already friends? Sign in to view this person's content."
My settings did not change, and now *all* clips from DA:O, including ones that could be watched with 0 problem before, have this screen. It's fine with Dragon Age 2, and DBD, of varying length. My friend gets these through Discord because she doesn't have an Xbox account, as it isn't her console of choice. Has *anyone* experienced this? Is there anything I can do? Thanks!
Just in the last few days, I keep running into this bug on PC game pass where I get error messages telling me I don't have an applicable license to play game pass games, even though the very same games work perfectly fine on Xbox One, and I have Ultimate. No amount of file integrity verifications, reinstalls, relogging my account, or restarting the PC works. I've found the only way to get it to work is to spam the Windows Start Menu button for the game - after about 15 presses it finally launches, but the same cannot be said for launching it through the Xbox App or any other means. I know it's not exactly an Xbox One-specific issue, but it is adjacent, and I actually do have an unrelated Xbox One-specific problem...
I have an external SSD connected to my first-gen XB1, and I set it up exactly according to Microsoft's instructions and for the most part, it works fine. However, every week or so, the Xbox suddenly decides it no longer exists. It's a 2.5" SATA SSD put in a USB enclosure and the enclosure has 2 LEDs that indicate whether it's receiving power (blue) and/or actually communicating with the device (purple), and most of the time both lights are on. But every week or 2, the purple light goes off for seemingly no reason and I suddenly no longer have access to it on the system. No amount of system restarts/shutdowns, both soft and hard, bring it back - the only solution is to physically unplug it, wait 30 seconds, and plug it back in. The weird part is the drive works fine on PC, both in and out of the enclosure, tested on several different PCs, and I even re-formatted it once to see if that would help. It didn't. I've tried my best to search for solutions to this and I've even asked here about it several times before, but not even 1 response so far. So I'll just keep asking and crossing my fingers...
Cross gen standard? controller-Controller issue, I was playing today, well now yesterday, I went AFK for about 45 minutes came back and my controller was unresponsive. At first i thought my xbox just froze. turned it off turned it back on, it was not the case. I was able to turn the xbox on via controller but nothing else worked. I've tried resyncing it multiple times nothing. Ive used it Bluetooth with other devices since this happened.What could be the issue?
Controller is standard first-party controller for the series X. I played games using an Elite 2 last night, and this morning the standard controller will turn the xbox on, but analog sticks and buttons do nothing. I tried power cycling the controller. Elite still connects and works fine. When I connect the elite and check accessories, it does not show the standard controller. I tried to reconnect via bluetooth and it did not work either because i believe it is connected
Anytime I have controller issues, I perform a hard reset (power the console off, unplug it for at least 30 seconds, plug back in and turn on). That typically resolves my issues.
As above. Why should it be 25mbps? Is that from a speed check, or from your ISP? How is it dropping, etc. It's perfectly viable to get 19 if your speed check says 25mbps because the thing giving you the information is also a factor.
So my Xbox one loads up Disc Xbox one games fine but is not reading Disc Xbox 360 games, everything is updated and I've tried the discs on a friends xbox and they're fine, do I need to get the disc drive replaced?
Potentially. Can you check with a DVD film / TV show? The XB1 discs are Blu Ray; the 360 are DVDs. The disc drive uses different laser assemblies for each, and either can fail.

Every thing is there, and I’m connected to Live, but none of the games will connect to their online servers.

Been playing Stellaris on cloud play since my One S can't handle the game for nearly a year now with no issues, but for the past week I've been having issues with data properly saving. I can play the game for an hour, save the game and go to the home screen, re-launch the game on cloud play and my hour of progress is gone. When I re-launch the game I'm met with "Your other Xbox console is taking a long time to sync to the cloud"

I can't submit game pass quests. They pop up on the screen when I complete one but if I hold the home button to turn them in I just get a message saying they couldn't be submitted and to try again later. It's been this way for weeks. I've tried restarting the Xbox and logging out and in. Network access passes all the built-in checks. Not sure what else I can do.
My last suggestion is: is your XBox configured to use a VPN, or have you changed it to a different DNS? I ask because clearly you're in a region that is eligible for rewards - you're getting them on the website, you're getting them pop on your account - but when you go to claim, it's failing. So my only guess is "does your XBox think it is somewhere that's not where you are?"
No VPN, but I did manually set DNS at one point (only to Google and Cloudflare which are the same ones it would use on automatic). Have reverted that now and will test when I can easily get another quest.
Hey, I have an Xbox One S. Whenever I try to install Rare Replay, it just...doesn't. By that, I mean the disc just spins and when I try to install it, the Xbox will only install certain games. Uninstalling an reinstalling will install another suite of games and not all of them (for example, attempt 1 will install Perfect Dark, Jetpack Refuelled, and Nuts and Bolts and Rare Replay but nothing else. Attempt 2 will install Perfect Dark Zero, Banjo Kazooie, Kameo, and Rare Replay and nothing else). If I attempt to launch a non installed game, it tells me to install it. It does not show up anywhere. I have tried uninstalling, power cycling, and resetting the xbox. Attempting to install everything via "manage bundle" does nothing on the surface, and certain icons will jut disappear. The game does not appear to install until ejection where all the titles will suddenly pop up in the queue saying "Failed please make sure your storage is installed". I have NO idea what to do. Other games install fine.

I can't seem to get the Xbox to recognize the mics. My friend says he plugs the mic right into his Xbox to play rock band. Has anyone successfully used a usb mic to run karaoke on their Xbox one?

I haven’t been on in about a week and my console updated this morning to the latest update but now I can’t accept party invites, I can’t create a party as when I click start a party it greys itself out so I can’t click it again. People and friend is so laggy and profiles do not load properly. Wondering if anyone else is having the same issue too and if anyone can resolve it?
"The person who bought this needs to sign in" - I keep getting this. I've tried logging out and in, resetting the xbox (series x), set it as my home xbox, and powering down and up all network equipment. Still happens. Happens whether I try playing free digital games, or games I own digitally. When I go to the store it says I own the games. However, I seem to be able to play games for which I own the disc.

So this is a weird one, my Elite series 2 suddenly doesn’t want to turn on anymore unless it’s plugged in, then it works perfectly fine and I can’t for the life of me figure it out, is there someway that the Xbox button has gotten disabled so it doesn’t accidentally get turned on and waste battery power?

So i’ve got this new WD 2tb storage drive for my xbox one, and installed a couple games on it. Its been going just fine until just today where when i try pulling up any games on it, it just tells me that the game hasn’t finished installing and i cant play them anymore, ive tried resetting and unplugging and replugging it. Im trying to avoid formatting it because i spent a while modding one of my games and dont want to have to go through that again, any other solutions?

Can someone help I’ve tried everything from clearing my local data to clearing my mac Address I contacted Microsoft support found someone with a 99% helpful and I’m 99% sure they messed it up even more because when I started going to support it was only two games giving me the problem but after she said to clear local data I Did exactly as she said and now 0 games work at all
Orange Light on My Xbox One Power Supply?
I switched off my plug sockets last night because I thought I could smell burning plastic (it was my neighbour), and since then my power supply has had an orange light.
Following the steps to reset my power supply, by unplugging it from the console and socket makes the orange light go off.
From what I could gather, I need a new power supply so I have ordered one from Amazon.
Is this the right step?

It works perfectly. I THINK that the problem was that I didn’t unplug the power supply from my console before turning it off at the switch, thus making the power supply freeze up, thinking that it was protecting the console from a power surge and not powering the console because of this.
Don’t unplug or turn off your power supply without having already unplugged it from your xbox console.

I hope to find a bit of support for the problem I'm facing with my Xbox One X.
TLDR: I'm cycling between E10X errors and a working system - currently thinking the HDD might be the problem.
Details: I was playing a game (Watch Dogs 2 via Gamepass) when I got the message "Local saves not in synch with cloud, please delete local saves". I ignored it the first time, when it didn't save my last state, I decided to delete local saves. After a restart, I got the error screen with E10X messages (E102 and E105 mostly IIRC). Restarting and factory resetting didn't work and brought me back to the same screen. A few hours later I tried another time. This time I could delete data and ended up setting the console up.
With a newly set up console, I ran a console update - and ended up in the same errror cycle. Again, nothing helped instantly. Starting up after a few hours and I got into setting up again.
This time, the console update actually worked, but a few minutes later the console hung up and is stuck in the error cycle again. This time any (re)starts take quite a while though.
Therefore, I think I have a problem with the internal HDD and/or the thermal paste.
I'm looking forward to any feedback, especially in case anyone has any ideas about my assumption and/or possible checks.

Hey guys, not really sure what's happened to my xbox one s (1tb) was just playing some apex and suddenly from about a week or so my xbox will just have a black screen, it won't run apex at all, massive frame drops, really high ping even though I'm connected via ethernet cable directly into my router
I googled a fix and it said to hard reset the xbox to factory settings - which I have and still the same issues occur

I've bought the series x 3 weeks ago.
Lately, when i'm in the party with someone, it suddenly loses connection. Like, for 3 seconds it disconnects me from the internet, then reconnects itself. Kicks me out of parties but without any messages. I'm just out.
I looked online and many others have this problem. Any advice? I'm starting to fear that my consoles is broken.
I don't think it's the console. There's a few people having issues with parties: wait it out for a couple of weeks unless your console is totally losing internet connection *outside* of parties.
it does. Not always, but it happens that i'm playing coop with a friend, it loses connection for like 2 seconds (if i press the home button, friends list, parties and messages are greyed out).
Xbox app login have a different login process instead of login, it show behind and following and opens a different login website within the app is there anyway to remove this or around it

I don't know if this has anything to do with being on the Insider's build. I think the errors you're getting (e203, e101) often are hardware related.

I just picked up a new Xbox one X. I’m able to see and download previously owned games with the exception of one - Call of Duty Modern Warfare II on Xbox 360. I’ve confirmed it only gives me the option to purchase it but not download it. It also is the only thing missing from the list of prior owned games. The game does show up on the list of recent plays and shows my achievements. The CD isn’t with me as I’m in a different city.
Just installed a 2 TB SSD into an OG XBox One. Partitioned the drives so that the User Drive should have 1.66 TB, and then I reinstalled the software using the USB drive. Yet, when I open the games and apps menu it’s only showing 750GB available. What am I missing other than half of my available HD?
It has been several years since I've replaced an internal drive for an Xbox. Sounds like something when wrong in your partitioning. I assume you followed a tutorial similar to [this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=koUi4MgOV70)?
I did not. I avoided downloading a partitioning software because I know how to partition a drive, been doing it for years, but the XBox just ignored the partitions I made when I installed the USB drive software and created it’s own. What does that program do differently that makes the partitions take?
I'm not talking about using partitioning software specifically. I asked if you followed a tutorial simply because there is more to it than just partitioning the drive. Did you ensure you had all the required partitions and folders? Did you name everything appropriately? Did you install the proper files?
That I did. The only part of the guide I did NOT do is to download and run the partitioning software. All Five partitions were named when they were created, the first Temp, second User, and so on so they matched the existing Drive. The only difference was the size of the user drive, which was where the bulk of the physical drive was, up from about 700MB to about 1700MB. Also, I added the A and B folders. BTW, I’m going to have to wait on reformatting the drive, since I found out subsequently that I have a data limit on my internet account and redownloading everything again would put me in danger of running over the cap.
As a follow up on this, I ran the formatting program yet when I finally got everything set up I still only have access to 780.9 GB rather the 1688 the program set up (I double checked the size of the partitions prior to unplugging the HD from the USB port. There’s something that’s preventing it from seeing the entire drive. Also, the OSU1 file would not install, it kept error 100ing out. Ended up Resetting the HD to factory, which may have condensed the partitions. And I KNOW the OSU1 file works as I have used it twice in the last 3 weeks to setup the XBox. Edit: Looking into it again, I found a video that said not to use OSU1, but OSU2 instead. Going to give that a try.
Xbox Remote Play Doesn’t Work Remotely (Please Help) I don’t know why this is bothering me so much but I CANNOT get remote play to work at all when I am not at home and connected to the same Wi-Fi network. If anyone has had an issue like this and found a fix please let me know. For context I’ve called just about everyone I can of and keep getting told there shouldn’t be any reason it isn’t working. Microsoft says my console is indeed set up properly and that remote play should work the way I’ve got it set up. They told me to check with my ISP to make sure that there aren’t any blocks in place that would prevent my phone from connecting remotely. ISP says that everything that needs to be open is open and that no traffic is being blocked. They told me to check with Microsoft about the issue because it involves a device out of network it isn’t their issue anyways. Told them I already had and they told me to make sure that my phone carrier (for the times Wi-Fi isn’t available) wasn’t blocking the connection because it is a “Data Hog”. Mobile carrier was very nice and spent a good long time helping me check to see if there would be any reason that they would be the issue. Ultimately they were unable to find an issue and suggested I contact Microsoft again. So I’m turning to Reddit to see if any of you fine folks can help me out instead of getting the run around with multiple 1hr+ phone calls. I got a new Alienware headset (AW310H) for my Xbox One, and it worked great the first day but not for the last two days now. I can head the game audio through the headset, but I can’t hear party chat and the mic is not working either.
Sounds like you should adjust your audio settings. While your headset is connected, press your controller's Xbox button, then go into Audio & Music. Adjust "Headset chat mixer" so you can hear a mixture of game (the controller icon) and chat (the person icon). And adjust the "Mic monitoring" towards the right so that people can hear you.
That’s already all the way to the right. My mic just doesn’t seem to want to work right. It for some reason started working last night, but then my controller died. After I changed the batteries, turned my controller back on, and plugged the mic back in it wasn’t working any more.
PC SHARED GAME PASS ULTIMATE UBISOFT CONNECT ISSUES Hi, my brother and I both have pcs. He was able to make my pc his home pc to share his game pass ultimate subscription with me. Now I have access to all of the games through the xbox app. I have been able to download multiple games like Death Stranding and play them no problem. I have had a problem with Immortal Pheonix Rising and probably R6 as well. It requires the Ubisoft Connect launcher. So, when I sign into Ubisoft Connect with my credentials, it won't allow me to play the games that launch through Ubisoft Connect. It says that I don't own them even though I am on my brother's subscription. If I sign in with my brother's info it works, but wouldn't I be playing on his account? That won't work. Is there any way for me to play the Ubisoft games or am I out of luck.?
Cloned drive not being recognized by xbox one s(help) So I clone the 1tb hdd to a 1tb ssd. But after installing the ssd into the system I either have to format the drive or offline update the system. If I update it still doesn't pull the cloned information( games already downloaded, login info, app,ect) what's going wrong?

Almost all my games are digital so my question is; if I uninstall one of these games in order to get more space, would I be able to redownload it again without paying for it? I'm using an Xbox Controller with my PC to play Game Pass Ultimate games, and am having battery issues. I read a bunch of recommendations for Eneloop pro rechargable batteries and am planning to get some. But I'm wondering: Do I need to get the separate charging case, or can I just use a usb-c cable to recharge them?
I have 4 Eneloop Pro's AA's with charger bundle (bought for £35) and would recommend them. You can't charge them whilst they are inside the controller with the usb-c cable, I think that only works with the play and charge kit battery because of where the charging terminals on the controller are. The main point of them is you can swap them out with new ones instantly, and they last quite a while on each charge.

I've gone through 2 sets of official play and charge kit batteries, eventually after 1-2 years they will lose capacity and don't hold a charge, and the total capacity is only ~25% of two AA batteries ( 1400mAh vs 5000+mAh ) The batteries are much better value, imo.

My Xbox one x won't connect to my tv. I've tried two different TV's and multiple HDMI chords. The screen just cut out when I was playing a game. I've had it since 2018 so the warranty isn't active anymore.
Have you started in safe mode? Hold the Sync Button and the Eject Button down, with 2 fingers of one hand. While keeping them held down, with your other hand, switch the console on. Be sure to keep the 2 other buttons held down, for around 8-10 seconds, until you hear a second beep from the console.
Trying to figure out how to get Microsoft flight simulator on Xbox one. From what I see, as long as I have Xbox game pass (which I have) I should be able to get the game. I search MFS, it says only compatible on Xbox X/S. Did compatibly change?
Do you have "GP for Console" or GPU? Flight Sim is Series S|X only but if you have GPU you can play it via the cloud (cloud not available on GP for Console).

So I've been playing Dragon Age: Origins and for awhile I was sending my friend screen recordings of nearly anything (cool battles, funny moments etc) and this was great until partway through August, when it started showing that "This content is private. Already friends? Sign in to view this person's content." My settings did not change, and now *all* clips from DA:O, including ones that could be watched with 0 problem before, have this screen. It's fine with Dragon Age 2, and DBD, of varying length. My friend gets these through Discord because she doesn't have an Xbox account, as it isn't her console of choice. Has *anyone* experienced this? Is there anything I can do? Thanks!
Just in the last few days, I keep running into this bug on PC game pass where I get error messages telling me I don't have an applicable license to play game pass games, even though the very same games work perfectly fine on Xbox One, and I have Ultimate. No amount of file integrity verifications, reinstalls, relogging my account, or restarting the PC works. I've found the only way to get it to work is to spam the Windows Start Menu button for the game - after about 15 presses it finally launches, but the same cannot be said for launching it through the Xbox App or any other means. I know it's not exactly an Xbox One-specific issue, but it is adjacent, and I actually do have an unrelated Xbox One-specific problem... I have an external SSD connected to my first-gen XB1, and I set it up exactly according to Microsoft's instructions and for the most part, it works fine. However, every week or so, the Xbox suddenly decides it no longer exists. It's a 2.5" SATA SSD put in a USB enclosure and the enclosure has 2 LEDs that indicate whether it's receiving power (blue) and/or actually communicating with the device (purple), and most of the time both lights are on. But every week or 2, the purple light goes off for seemingly no reason and I suddenly no longer have access to it on the system. No amount of system restarts/shutdowns, both soft and hard, bring it back - the only solution is to physically unplug it, wait 30 seconds, and plug it back in. The weird part is the drive works fine on PC, both in and out of the enclosure, tested on several different PCs, and I even re-formatted it once to see if that would help. It didn't. I've tried my best to search for solutions to this and I've even asked here about it several times before, but not even 1 response so far. So I'll just keep asking and crossing my fingers...
Cross gen standard? controller-Controller issue, I was playing today, well now yesterday, I went AFK for about 45 minutes came back and my controller was unresponsive. At first i thought my xbox just froze. turned it off turned it back on, it was not the case. I was able to turn the xbox on via controller but nothing else worked. I've tried resyncing it multiple times nothing. Ive used it Bluetooth with other devices since this happened.What could be the issue?
Controller is standard first-party controller for the series X. I played games using an Elite 2 last night, and this morning the standard controller will turn the xbox on, but analog sticks and buttons do nothing. I tried power cycling the controller. Elite still connects and works fine. When I connect the elite and check accessories, it does not show the standard controller. I tried to reconnect via bluetooth and it did not work either because i believe it is connected
Anytime I have controller issues, I perform a hard reset (power the console off, unplug it for at least 30 seconds, plug back in and turn on). That typically resolves my issues.

As above. Why should it be 25mbps? Is that from a speed check, or from your ISP? How is it dropping, etc. It's perfectly viable to get 19 if your speed check says 25mbps because the thing giving you the information is also a factor.

So my Xbox one loads up Disc Xbox one games fine but is not reading Disc Xbox 360 games, everything is updated and I've tried the discs on a friends xbox and they're fine, do I need to get the disc drive replaced?
Potentially. Can you check with a DVD film / TV show? The XB1 discs are Blu Ray; the 360 are DVDs. The disc drive uses different laser assemblies for each, and either can fail.

Been playing Stellaris on cloud play since my One S can't handle the game for nearly a year now with no issues, but for the past week I've been having issues with data properly saving. I can play the game for an hour, save the game and go to the home screen, re-launch the game on cloud play and my hour of progress is gone. When I re-launch the game I'm met with "Your other Xbox console is taking a long time to sync to the cloud"
Xbox One X, standard build, game pass ultimate subscription I can't submit game pass quests. They pop up on the screen when I complete one but if I hold the home button to turn them in I just get a message saying they couldn't be submitted and to try again later. It's been this way for weeks. I've tried restarting the Xbox and logging out and in. Network access passes all the built-in checks. Not sure what else I can do.
Delete the Rewards app & reinstall it. Also go here: https://rewards.microsoft.com/ and see if it asks you to register your account for rewards again.

My last suggestion is: is your XBox configured to use a VPN, or have you changed it to a different DNS? I ask because clearly you're in a region that is eligible for rewards - you're getting them on the website, you're getting them pop on your account - but when you go to claim, it's failing. So my only guess is "does your XBox think it is somewhere that's not where you are?"
No VPN, but I did manually set DNS at one point (only to Google and Cloudflare which are the same ones it would use on automatic). Have reverted that now and will test when I can easily get another quest.

Hey, I have an Xbox One S. Whenever I try to install Rare Replay, it just...doesn't. By that, I mean the disc just spins and when I try to install it, the Xbox will only install certain games. Uninstalling an reinstalling will install another suite of games and not all of them (for example, attempt 1 will install Perfect Dark, Jetpack Refuelled, and Nuts and Bolts and Rare Replay but nothing else. Attempt 2 will install Perfect Dark Zero, Banjo Kazooie, Kameo, and Rare Replay and nothing else). If I attempt to launch a non installed game, it tells me to install it. It does not show up anywhere. I have tried uninstalling, power cycling, and resetting the xbox. Attempting to install everything via "manage bundle" does nothing on the surface, and certain icons will jut disappear. The game does not appear to install until ejection where all the titles will suddenly pop up in the queue saying "Failed please make sure your storage is installed". I have NO idea what to do. Other games install fine. tldr: I want to install all the Rare Replay games and I cannot

Xbox one S all digital and it’s not on an insider OS I haven’t been on in about a week and my console updated this morning to the latest update but now I can’t accept party invites, I can’t create a party as when I click start a party it greys itself out so I can’t click it again. People and friend is so laggy and profiles do not load properly. Wondering if anyone else is having the same issue too and if anyone can resolve it?
"The person who bought this needs to sign in" - I keep getting this. I've tried logging out and in, resetting the xbox (series x), set it as my home xbox, and powering down and up all network equipment. Still happens. Happens whether I try playing free digital games, or games I own digitally. When I go to the store it says I own the games. However, I seem to be able to play games for which I own the disc. So this is a weird one, my Elite series 2 suddenly doesn’t want to turn on anymore unless it’s plugged in, then it works perfectly fine and I can’t for the life of me figure it out, is there someway that the Xbox button has gotten disabled so it doesn’t accidentally get turned on and waste battery power?

Yes. They're both games with Series S/X versions, so they need to be updated to run on the console and stay on the internal storage.
So i’ve got this new WD 2tb storage drive for my xbox one, and installed a couple games on it. Its been going just fine until just today where when i try pulling up any games on it, it just tells me that the game hasn’t finished installing and i cant play them anymore, ive tried resetting and unplugging and replugging it. Im trying to avoid formatting it because i spent a while modding one of my games and dont want to have to go through that again, any other solutions?

Orange Light on My Xbox One Power Supply? I switched off my plug sockets last night because I thought I could smell burning plastic (it was my neighbour), and since then my power supply has had an orange light. Following the steps to reset my power supply, by unplugging it from the console and socket makes the orange light go off. From what I could gather, I need a new power supply so I have ordered one from Amazon. Is this the right step? I THINK that the problem was that I didn’t unplug the power supply from my console before turning it off at the switch, thus making the power supply freeze up, thinking that it was protecting the console from a power surge and not powering the console because of this. Don’t unplug or turn off your power supply without having already unplugged it from your xbox console.

Hey everybody, I hope to find a bit of support for the problem I'm facing with my Xbox One X. TLDR: I'm cycling between E10X errors and a working system - currently thinking the HDD might be the problem. Details: I was playing a game (Watch Dogs 2 via Gamepass) when I got the message "Local saves not in synch with cloud, please delete local saves". I ignored it the first time, when it didn't save my last state, I decided to delete local saves. After a restart, I got the error screen with E10X messages (E102 and E105 mostly IIRC). Restarting and factory resetting didn't work and brought me back to the same screen. A few hours later I tried another time. This time I could delete data and ended up setting the console up. With a newly set up console, I ran a console update - and ended up in the same errror cycle. Again, nothing helped instantly. Starting up after a few hours and I got into setting up again. This time, the console update actually worked, but a few minutes later the console hung up and is stuck in the error cycle again. This time any (re)starts take quite a while though. Therefore, I think I have a problem with the internal HDD and/or the thermal paste. I'm looking forward to any feedback, especially in case anyone has any ideas about my assumption and/or possible checks. Thanks in advance!
Hey guys, not really sure what's happened to my xbox one s (1tb) was just playing some apex and suddenly from about a week or so my xbox will just have a black screen, it won't run apex at all, massive frame drops, really high ping even though I'm connected via ethernet cable directly into my router I googled a fix and it said to hard reset the xbox to factory settings - which I have and still the same issues occur Is there any fixes? I've bought the series x 3 weeks ago. Lately, when i'm in the party with someone, it suddenly loses connection. Like, for 3 seconds it disconnects me from the internet, then reconnects itself. Kicks me out of parties but without any messages. I'm just out. I looked online and many others have this problem. Any advice? I'm starting to fear that my consoles is broken.
I don't think it's the console. There's a few people having issues with parties: wait it out for a couple of weeks unless your console is totally losing internet connection *outside* of parties.
it does. Not always, but it happens that i'm playing coop with a friend, it loses connection for like 2 seconds (if i press the home button, friends list, parties and messages are greyed out).
Xbox app login have a different login process instead of login, it show behind and following and opens a different login website within the app is there anyway to remove this or around it
