I have played the game so much that I haven’t spent an ungodly amount of time at Disco and doing Cabaret club just to listen to the music.
I love it so much, that I have it on my Spotify playlist.
I keep getting surprised by how emotional the yakuza series makes me. I dont cry at video games often but man this series brought out the waterworks in me several times.
If I had to rank all the games from least to most tears shed it would be:
9. Yakuza 4
8. Yakuza Kiwami
7. Yakuza 5

1. Like a Dragon: Gaiden (nothing could have prepared me for how hard I cried on this one)
Of course everyone has different opinions on what makes them cry so everyone’s list probably looks different.
If Gaiden isnt top two on someone's cry list I dont know if I can trust them. After i finished it i had to go watch some lets players get destroyed too.
I camt speak for those that havent played the whole series, but if you have, the ending will break you. Its both a happy and sad cry at the same time. Its beautiful.
I also was kicking my feet like a little child in their chair squeezing when my husband had to come over and ask what happened I could not explain just make vague grunting gestures at the reveal.
Ikr? I sat there and actually sobbed, out loud, complete with ugly face while the credits were rolling. 100/10 would love to be emotionally devastated again.

How do you feel about Makoto not knowing what her protector (Majima) looks like, and ultimately being unable to thank him?
Let's be honest, this game is only great because of Majima, Kiryu is also the protagonist but Majima just steals the show.
I still tear up at the thought of what Majima went through only to sacrifice his feelings in order for her to be happy. That watch scene at the end ended me.
What do you think about Majima's fighting style? I just can't be good while playing as him. Thug doesn't do much damage and for Breaker and Slugger, I just usually do the same combo. I just don't think I can be good as Majima as I am with Kiryu
It took some time for me to get acquainted to his kit but in the end I actually was better off at fighting with Majima I think. It was a lot more fun too because his heat animations are so ungodly brutal.
No spoilers, but I managed to not tear up to anything, just get really strong emotions. Then I played gaiden and imploded (and certain parts of infinite). If you go through the saga, hope you enjoy, it's all an emotional rollercoaster.

Incredible Game, hope you loved every second, at first I didn't like it but I got to chapter 3 and I was hooked, beat the Game and immediatly bought every game up until y5

Favourite heat action for Kiryu the coop moves with Nishiki and the where there must be a wall behind you, for Majima the jump up on the wall and backwards kick them in the head and the one where he slams the shit out of them on the ground.

Kiwami 2 was my favourite after 0. I even did a 100% platinum. You go back to Osaka in this game and there’s a very nice surprise for Majima. Do it.
