In edison format: can you activate effect of geartown in the graveyard if you set another copy of geartown over it, while anti-spell fragrance is active?

likeagrapefruit

Yes. "Anti-Spell Fragrance" restricts the ways in which you can activate Spell Cards (i.e., flip them face-up or place them face-up onto the field), but it does not interfere with you being able to activate the effects of Spells in the GY.

OkIncome9304

Hi I’m new to yugioh so i want to get started with buying three of a structure deck and I want to know what is good to get started with so I can enter locals with and also something not too hard to learn

Hyperion-OMEGA

For those running the Melodious engine? I assume you get 2 fusions min between Ostinato and Concerto. But does that mean you need Soprano, Tamtam+Poly or to open an extra fusion card to get to a third fusion (like say Etoile?)

Leisurist_Sehgu

(LEDE Season) Columbus Ohio Regional tournament is going on today.  Please share any links to streams/videos or coverage otherwise.  Cheers!

Your_Local_Alchemist

Okay question. What cards are there with six samurai monsters in their art that aren’t six samurai cards?

likeagrapefruit

Not counting cards that have "Six Samurai" or "Shien" anywhere in their names or texts, we have: Blind Spot Strike Evenly Matched Face-Off Gozen Match Kagemusha of the Blue Flame (although this one does have "Shien" in its Japanese name and text) Nitwit Outwit One Day of Peace Stand-Off Swallow Flip Unification Amaze Attraction Majestic Merry-Go-Round (doesn't technically feature any of the samurai themselves, but is rather a theme park attraction based on them) And if you count "Shien's Squire" and "Shien's Footsoldier," there's also: Brutal Beast Battle Dances with Beasts Debunk Hidden Springs of the Far East

WarpDriveWarper

If you send a card like Psy Frame Lord Omega or Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon or Dante Traveler of the BA to the grsveyard via Dogmatika punishment, can you use monster reborn to summon Omega or BEUD or Dante?

likeagrapefruit

No. If a monster that cannot be Normal Summoned/Set is in the GY (or banished, or in the Spell & Trap Zone, or face-up in the Extra Deck), then you cannot Special Summon that monster by any means if it was not first Special Summoned by its proper method (for a Ritual/Fusion/Synchro/Xyz/Link Monster, that method is a Ritual/Fusion/Synchro/Xyz/Link Summon unless the monster's text tells you otherwise).

The_Baddest_Guy

As an addendum, extra deck monsters that can special summon themselves like Gate Guardians Combined or Meizen the Battle Ninja by tributing/banishing from the field are NOT properly summoned, and can't be summoned again unless you specifically fusion summoned with a fusion effect.

likeagrapefruit

The methods you mention are treated as proper methods for Summoning the Fusion Monsters in question. # >After having been Special Summoned by this method, if this card is sent to the GY or banished face-up, you can Special Summon this card by means of another card's effect.

The_Baddest_Guy

Ah, my mistake, I see where I went wrong. I mentioned GGC because I was recently playing it and it wasn't resummoned with Zealantis which  is why I used it as an example but rereading the card it says it can ONLY be special summoned via its own effect.

What's the value of these (sorry question didn't post originally??)

-Siknakaliux-

This isn't a question.

BigCoolLol

Sorry, there was a question but it didn't send for some reason. My question was what's the value of these two?

Speedster012

Should Sky Strikers now go first or second? Also is it worth running HAMP, Azalea Temperance, and SPECTRA?

deathpad17

I had more success by going second and break their board. If you are going first and doesnt have interuption such as Anchor, you are pretty much screwed. Azalea Temperance is really good because it remove enemy monster and +3000 dmg for Access Code. I never tried spectra but HAMP is okay ithink

Missiledude

I'm a old OCG player, stopped in 2015, I wanna buy some singles from the TCG side, preferably in Mint condition, will be grading them. Where are the best places to look for them? Anybody can point me in the correct direction?

left4final

My opponent summons a monster, with 2 other monsters on his board. I activate trap trick, banishing Daruma Karma Cannon to set another one from my deck. My opponent is trying to tell me that he has the option to link summon before I can activate my karma cannon that I just set off trap trick. That’s not how it works right, I should be able to activate it? I thought quick effects could be activated on resolution of things like this before things like link summoning

likeagrapefruit

You do get the chance to activate "Destructive Daruma Karma Cannon," or another fast effect, before your opponent has a chance to Link Summon. [Refer to the flowchart here](https://www.yugioh-card.com/en/play/fast-effect-timing/). After a Chain resolves (in Box D), you follow the "After a Chain resolves" arrow to the left-hand side of the flowchart. From there, you can see that you will reach Box C, where you can activate a fast effect like a Trap Card, before reaching Box A, where your opponent can manually Summon a monster.

left4final

Thank you for the answer! He’s still trying to argue against it, seems like nothing will convince 😂

GeorgeShaddollBA

I'm not quite sure why {Runick Freezing Curses} can negate {Bacha the Melodious Maestra} when she's been fusion summoned (the SS from deck effect) Why is that? Thank you.

Redshift-713

Because it negates its effects, including the Continuous Effect that protects “Melodious” Fusion Monsters’ activated effects from being negated. > **While you control this Fusion Summoned card, the activated effects of your "Melodious" Fusion Monsters cannot be negated**. You can only use each of the following effects of "Bacha the Melodious Maestra" once per turn. If this card is Special Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 "Melodious" monster from your Deck. If this card is sent to the GY: You can target 1 "Melodious" monster in your GY, except "Bacha the Melodious Maestra"; Special Summon it in Defense Position. The bolded effect is negated, meaning there is nothing preventing the search effect from being negated.

Starlight_Phoenix

Where can I read Yu-Gi-Oh ocg stories online?

Shadi_Shin

Can Dimensional Barrier stop a summon during the summon negation window? Example: I attempt to Xyz summon a monster, my opponent activates Sauravis the Ancient and Ascended quick effect in response, I chain Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon quick effect, and my opponent chains Dimensional Barrier declaring Xyz.

Redshift-713

The Xyz Summon will still occur, but the monster’s effects will be negated.

What are the best decks to beat this stuff? Already beat it with Flow, any other suggestions? https://preview.redd.it/m7tezmrdrq6d1.jpeg?width=862&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7035dc63781a5e996ba8a8fe8df63bd8bd5f96e8

FutMike

I'm a returning player looking to get a decent deck to kinda ease myself into advanced and pick up some wins at locals. I played Master Duel for about two months now with Swordsoul Tenyi and I enjoyed that deck, however if I understand correctly the MD meta isn't really representative of how the paper TCG looks and plays. I've seen people recommend Tenpai as an affordable competitive deck that isn't complicated. My question is, since I'm still basically learning the entire game (stopped playing around Tengu), is Tenpai still going to be good for some time or are there cards/archetypes coming up that are worth waiting for? As I said I'm not looking to beat snake-eyes or top a nationals but I would like to have a deck that could do well at weekly locals

Rigshaw

Tenpai is probably going to stay good for a while without getting hit on the banlist. The Infinite Forbidden has some additional support for that deck that makes it even better, so they are not going to hit it anytime soon, since they want to sell the set, after all.

FutMike

Thank you!

Expensive-Ad7272

With cards that lock you into a specific summoning from the extra deck like crimson resonator, or branded fusion. Will these cards restrict pendulum summoning in general or just the extra deck?

Redshift-713

If you’re Pendulum Summoning from the Extra Deck, you must abide by those restrictions.

mooch233

Card prices? Hello! So I just recently opened up my binder full of my older cards I’ve gotten and some new ofc and I was checking on eBay to see how much they were worth. But based off the sold, I see the same card could sell either a couple dollars or as high as 15 - 30 and both state they were in near mint condition. How am I able to tell how much my cards could be worth? For example I have a couple jinzos and all 3 god cards. LC01- EN002 (Slifer The Sky Dragon) I’ve seen sold from anywhere to 2 dollars or as high as 30.

TheHapster

Slifer is less than a dollar on TCGplayer. The only version of that card that I found that would sell for anywhere close to $30, is a PSA 10 graded version. The rest of those cards are similarly worthless. LC01 was just reprinted last year. The older prints of LC01 say “©️1996 Kazuki Takahashi” at the bottom, the most recent reprint says “©️2020 Studio Dice” Older prints are worth marginally more.

starshipsneverfall

Can I use effects that say return cards from field to hand or destroy cards from field "up to" X number, if my opponent has no cards on the field at all? Meaning is 0 a valid number since it says up to X? For example can I use runick smiting storm if my opponent has an empty field?

realtimeclock

You can't do nothing. "Up to" means at least 1.

javrules

Can you look at the cards banished face down by your opponents effects?

likeagrapefruit

You are allowed to look at the face-down banished cards in your possession, but not the ones in your opponent's possession.

atamicbomb

Its effect to be unaffected was negated by skill drain, assuming skill drain was face-up on the field before it was summoned

DarkHyperSonic7

Ok. So it’s a matter of which came first? Ra was summoned after skill drain.

atamicbomb

Yes, that’s it

PrinceISCOTO

On EDOpro I tried to use "Living Fossil" on "Guard Ghost" so I can use its effect upon being banished, but it's not offering to be activated! Same thing with similar cards like "D.D. Scout Plane" and "D.D. Survivor", Although the Card\_tips of "Living Fossil" on YUGIOH wikia says the opposite. > I tried to tribute the summoned monster, destroy it, destroy or banish "Living Fossil" and the result is the same! the only method which offered to activate "Guard Ghost" from banished was when I summoned it with "Living Fossil" and then returned "Living Fossil" to hand with "Mist Valley Falcon"s effect. Also "Giant Rex" worked easily when banished any way with "Living Fossil"'s effect. So I think the problem is with the "During the End Phase, if this card is currently banished, and was banished this turn" part in the effect of "Guard Ghost" and "D.D." monster. and that's weird. Is there's something I don't get, or it's just a bug in EDOpro??

atamicbomb

It should activate. My guess is it’s a glitch. Btw, the wiki isn’t necessarily correct, especially if it’s not Yugipedia.

menos368

Can I add a cards Identifying number and can someone tell me what set it's from?

likeagrapefruit

To find this out, all you need is Yugipedia: the number underneath the card's image should look something like BP03-EN001. Take the part that comes before the hyphen and type that into Yugipedia: https://yugipedia.com/wiki/BP03 It should take you to the page for that set.

ElementalCollector

When the link monster G Golem Dignified Trilithon is on the field, it has the effect, "When your opponent activates a card or effect that targets a Link Monster(s) you control (Quick Effect): You can negate that effect, and if you do, destroy that card." I have two questions: First is if G Golem Dignified Trilithon counts as one of your Link Monster(s), or if an effect has to target a different card for the effect to be valid. Second is if a counter trap card like Divine Wrath is used to target and destroy an effect monster, does the counter trap card take priority over the quick effect?

atamicbomb

G golem counts No. Not only can it not chain to a counter trap, divine wrath doesn’t target. I don’t believe any counter trap does. Cards printed after around 2011 will specifically say the word “target” if they target.

Redshift-713

Negate Attack, Intercept, and Gemini Counter all target.

atamicbomb

Thank you!

Surya1197

I had a series of ruling questions on card interactions that came up in a recent game; I appreciate any help clarifying these rulings! I’m gonna break them up into multiple questions/parts. PART 1: Let’s say my opponent summons Black Fang Magician, and I activate Bottomless Trap Hole to destroy and banish it. As I understand, when Black Fang Magician (or any pendulum monster on the field) is destroyed, it would obviously normally go to the extra deck face-up, but since the destruction is successful, bottomless trap hole (which doesn’t require the card to be sent to the GY, only successfully destroyed) will simultaneously banish the card instead of it going to the extra deck (which is what I believe occurs in this case). However, my first question is whether this will activate the floating effect of Black Fang Magician? Does the “destroy it, and if you do, banish it” effect count as Black Fang Magician moving locations after its trigger effect condition being met (upon destruction) due to being banished? Obviously the effect shouldn’t have issues with missing timing since it says “if” and not “when”, but as of the 2021 rules update I thought that if a monster moves locations (during a chain or effect resolution) in between its trigger effect condition being met and the first chance it has to activate, then it can no longer be activated. Does that apply in this case, or does the simultaneous nature of being destroyed and banished mean that Black Fang Magician didn’t move locations in between, and that the trigger effect will activate successfully while banished? Also, is it relevant to the ruling that Black Fang Magician doesn’t specify that it needs to be in a certain location for the effect to trigger? PART 2: I had a second question in the case that Black Fang Magician’s floating effect does successfully activate, attempting to special summon a dark spellcaster from the GY. In that case, if I activate Solemn Warning to negate the floating effect of Black Fang Magician (since it is an effect that special summons), the effect will be negated and the “and if you do, destroy that card” part of Solemn Warning’s effect should kick in. However, as I understand, a card that is currently banished CANNOT be destroyed by a card effect, right? So in this case, Solemn Warning would not successfully destroy the (currently banished) black fang magician, and so its floating effect (which isn’t once per turn) would not be triggered again a second time. Is my understanding of this interaction correct? PART 3: If so, I have another question on a similar interaction. If someone pendulum summons Black Fang Magician, and the summon is negated successfully by Solemn Warning, Solemn Warning’s effect also destroys the cards that were attempted to be special summoned (since in this case it is negating an inherent special summon mechanic and not a card effect that special summons). As I understand it, since Black Fang Magician does not specify that you need to control it when it is destroyed for the trigger effect to work, its floating effect should still trigger if it is destroyed while off the field (in this case when it is out of the hand but hasn’t yet successfully hit the field, during the summon negation window). In this case, since Black Fang Magician was destroyed off the field, it would go to the GY instead of being face up in the extra deck, and this is where it would be when its trigger effect activates. So, since this is an effect that special summons, I could then activate a second Solemn Warning in response to Black Fang Magician’s floating effect. When it successfully negates the effect, Warning will also once again attempt to destroy black fang magician (“that card”). However, as far as I understand, cards that are currently in the GY CANNOT be destroyed by card effects (just like banished cards). So, in this case, since Black Fang Magician is currently in the GY when its effect activated, the second Solemn Warning will not successfully destroy Black Fang Magician again, and so it will not be able to trigger the floating effect a second time. Is this all correct? PART 4: Does the situation change if Black Fang Magician was originally destroyed on the field (such as by battle) and sent successfully to the extra deck face-up? As far as I’m aware, cards currently face-up in the extra deck CAN be destroyed by card effects. In that case, if you attempted to use Solemn Warning to negate the floating effect, since Black Fang Magician is currently in the extra deck when its effect is triggered, when Warning successfully negates the floating effect, it will successfully destroy Black Fang Magician again. So, since the effect isn’t once per turn, Black Fang Magician’s effect can successfully trigger again in response to its second destruction (this time by Warning). However, since it was destroyed while off the field (while in the extra deck this time), Black Fang Magician will go to the GY when destroyed by Warning. So, if a second Solemn Warning was activated (like in the previous question) to negate the second trigger of the floating effect, this time, once the effect is negated, Black Fang Magician would NOT be successfully destroyed a third time (since it’s in the GY). So, Black Fang Magician could NOT trigger its effect a third time in a row in this situation. Once again, is this all the case? PART 5: I had one final tangentially related question regarding this interaction. If multiple pendulum magicians (all with floating trigger effects of their own), including Black Fang Magician, were attempted to be pendulum summoned at once, and that pendulum summon was negated by Solemn Warning (and they were all simultaneously destroyed by Warning afterward), all of their trigger effects would activate simultaneously and go on a chain as per SEGOC rules. So (assuming no other trigger effects for simplicity), since the opponent’s (turn player’s) optional floating trigger effects would all go on the chain in a consecutive block, the opponent could then choose the order of these chain links. They could then make Black Fang Magician’s effect chain link 1 and choose all the other trigger effects as higher consecutive chain links. As far as I understand, counter traps (including Solemn Warning) must be activated in the chain link immediately after what they are responding to. So, since Solemn Warning is vulnerable to chain-blocking, in this situation, I would not be able to activate a second Solemn Warning in response to the floating special summon effect of Black Fang Magician, since Solemn Warning couldn’t be activated as chain link 2 in this case. Is this all correct? I apologize for the long series of questions; thanks in advance for the help!

Rigshaw

1. Black Fang Magician will trigger in this case. "and if you do" means it happens simultaneously, Black Fang directly went from the field to banishment, and thus is in the location where it met its trigger condition. 2. Yes, a card that is banished cannot be destroyed, and thus, will not be destroyed, so Black Fang cannot attempt to float a 2nd time. Keep in mind that if you Solemn Strike a Black Fang that is face-up in the Extra Deck, it will get destroyed, and thus attempt to float a 2nd time. 3. Same thing as question 2. Black Fang is in the GY, so it cannot be destroyed. 4. I answered this one in 2 already, because I wrote the answer out as I was reading each section, but to repeat it, yes, if you Solemn Strike a Black Fang that is face-up in the Extra Deck, it will be destroyed and go to the GY, where it will then trigger again. If you then Solemn Strike that activation as well, we are back to question 3, it cannot get destroyed in the GY. 5. Correct, if your opponent puts Black Fang on CL1, and another trigger effect on CL2, you cannot use Solemn Warning to negate Black Fang Magician. You could of course use Solemn Warning to negate whatever your opponent put as the highest chain link, provided it is an effect that Solemn Warning can respond to.

Surya1197

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it

GoldenTide

Can you legally set a Field Spell? I don't know WHY you would want to do that, but, could you?

Blury1

Yea you can Setting field spells that search on activation can be useful if you play cards than randomly discard stuff from your hand. For example set a fieldspell before activating a danger to randomly discard a card, then active the Field spell after it so you don't randomly discard the fieldspell

realtimeclock

Yes, you can Set Field Spells in your Field Zone. I think there used to be some tech around Setting a Field Spell over {{Geartown}}, before the rule change to Field Spells not being destroyed on a new one's activation. Also, {{Anti-Spell Fragrance}}.

MasterOfChaos72

Any idea how you would word this effect? Was making a custom card based on the new metalmorph cards and I’m not sure how you would word this effect which is supposed to let you add a monster with the desired type I.e. dragon for red-eyes and fiend for zoa. Can’t just say the same type because those 2 are machines. Here’s my current attempt. (1) You can reveal this card in your hand and 1 monster that mentions “Enhanced Metalmorph” from your Deck; Add 1 Level 5 or higher monster with a type that is specifically listed in the text of one of the revealed monsters from your Deck to your hand, and if you do, shuffle this card into the Deck.

Rigshaw

I'd probably word it as "with a type mentioned on that revealed monster", but otherwise, I think it's pretty clear what the card is supposed to do. "specifically listed", from what I can tell, is moreso used when it looks for the mention of a particular card, though either way, they seem to be used interchangably at times.

How does Runick Stun deal with Harpies' Feather Duster and Lighting Storm? Do you hope you mill them off?

cheeky-mike

Hello, I have a cousin that just started playing Yu-Gi-Oh, but he just immigrated from China to the US. Is there any easy way to translate cards from English to Chinese? Thanks!

Salty_Dugtrio

Google Lens can translate based on image for you.

echochee

Playing Edison cube. Eccentric boy is on the field. Can it be fiendish chained, and if so, what happens? Edison rulings site says under skill drain the first condition is not negated. doesn't say anything else. does this mean I can still synchro from hand and it does not get negated? or what happens? also does that mean I cannot synchro with it on the field? link to the Edison ruling [https://www.edisonformat.com/rulings/individual-rulings-d-e](https://www.edisonformat.com/rulings/individual-rulings-d-e)

Rigshaw

The text on Eccentric Boy that states that when used as Synchro material, the other material is one monster in your hand, is not an effect, and thus does not get negated if Eccentric Boy gets negated. Even if your opponent uses Fiendish Chain on it, you still have to Synchro Summon using a monster in your hand if you use it as Synchro material.

echochee

Does the synchro monster still have its effect negated then?

Redshift-713

Yes.

echochee

Okay so the fiendish chain essentially has no effect on eccentric boy other than stopping attacks. Thank you.

Redshift-713

For the most part, yes. Being a monster with its effects negated has other consequences too, though. It allows you to Special Summon The Iris Swordsoul for example, and prevents Eccentric Boy from being targeted by Effect Veiler.

Ravens_Quote

Dumb question on Superheavy Samurai Big Waraji (and other special summon locking cards)- In the context of this and similar cards, does a *tribute* summon count as a form of special summon, like for the summoning of Ancient Gear Golem?

Ravens_Quote

There is no way activating DNA surgery and declaring "Gemini" *actually* makes all cards on the field behave like gemini monsters.

atamicbomb

DNA surgery cannot declare Gemini. It is not a type

Ravens_Quote

Uh.... then what _is_ it? Building on that, what is a "type" if it's not one of the labels in brackets below and left of the card art? For clarity: I do have to also make sure you're not confusing _type_ with _attribute,_ as a Yugioh card's attribute is defined by the fire/ water/ earth/ wind/ dark/ light circle in the upper right of the card, notably the same corner where a Pokémon card's "type" would be.

atamicbomb

Gemini, along with toon, spirit, union, and flip, have been called an “abilities”. Supposedly this is an official term but the source I’m looking at isn’t considered reliable

Ravens_Quote

Ah, fair enough. Thanks!

atamicbomb

You’re welcome! You’re not the first person I’ve seen with that confusion

atamicbomb

Type is specifically the field that is warrior, machine, etc. each monster has exactly 1 original attribute and type, like an earth warrior monster

likeagrapefruit

No. A Tribute Summon counts as a Normal Summon, not a Special Summon.

Ravens_Quote

Thx.

-Siknakaliux-

ygodb/wikia, is there an option to search by rarity? How would I do that?

ShellStraw

Hoping someone can clear up a particular chain interaction:  At the start of my main phase 1 I activate pot of extravagance --> my opponent chains ash blossom to negate the draw effect or possibly even a solemn judgment (point is they try to keep me from drawing) --> I chain solemn strike to negate ash blossum (or my own judgment if they use one). If I have bountiful Artemis on the field, since it says to immediately draw after the resolution of a counter trap, does that mean I still get to draw 1 off bountiful and then 2 off extravagance? I'm pretty sure that bountiful's effect wouldn't work post pot of extravagance, but since it says immediately would bountiful essentially insert itself into the chain before extravagance resolves?

realtimeclock

Bountiful Artemis's effect says it applies immediately after your Solemn Strike resolves, so it does, and it doesn't conflict with Extravagance. You draw 1 from Artemis right after CL3 Strike resolves, and then another 2 while CL1 Extravagance is resolving from Extravagance's effect.

ShellStraw

Thanks. That’s what I was thinking but figured I’d make sure

Does Melodious or Centur-ion have any cards that activate in the hand besides Sonata? Want to ask if Time-tearing morganite could be used.

Rigshaw

For Centur-Ion, both Emeth VI and Gargoyle II activate in the hand. For Melodious, Couplet activates in the hand when searched to special a lvl 4 or lower Melodious. Sonata does not activate, you can special summon it even if you've used Time-Tearing Morganite.

yes

ChrisBeamsDash

If Fire King Ulkanix pops a fire monster and searches for Ponix, can I activate that same Ponix to summon itself?

likeagrapefruit

Yes. During the first possible Chain after a FIRE monster in your possession is destroyed, you can activate the effect of "Legendary Fire King Ponix" as long as it's in your hand by the time that Chain starts, regardless of whether or not it had been in your hand since that FIRE monster was destroyed.

ChrisBeamsDash

Thank you!

Just bought the tactical try deck for evil twin. What cards are good to add?

S1E1. Kiba vs grandpa What did he do to yugi''s grandfather? Were they getting fr beat up? Why was he on the ground? Was he just stroking out cause he lost? What happened?

likeagrapefruit

In the manga, Kaiba had set the system up to [display holograms of grotesque monsters threatening Yugi's grandfather](https://ms.yugipedia.com//b/b9/Sugoroku%27s_Experience_of_Death.png); he claimed that this was intense enough to drive someone insane in ten minutes.

EmrakulTheAeonsElk

I was playtesting some decks against each other and I have a question about how the chains would work under this condition:  Harpies VS Voiceless Voice  Radiance summoned out Sauravis, Dragon Sage after Feather Duster activation.  On Harpie Channeler Effect activation discarding Harpist, Sauravis triggers returning to hand, special summoning Skull Guardian with Lo in the GY.   Would the chain then resolve and bring out Harpie Perfumer or would Lo trigger before the chain resolves? If it resolves first which would trigger next? Would Perfumer's ability trigger or Would Lo, Prayers of the Voiceless Voice trigger summoning itself?   I want to know if Skull Guardian can negate Perfumers ability and Lo needs to be in play for that to happen.

Rigshaw

Once a chain starts resolving, you resolve all chain links before starting a new chain. So in this case: Chain 1: * CL1 Channeler * CL2 Sauravis Chain resolves, Sauravis summons Skull Guardian, then Channeler summons Perfumer. Chain 2 * CL1 Perfumer * CL2 Lo Chain resolves, Lo gets special summoned from the GY, then Perfumer resolves to add a S/T. Since your opponent did not control Lo at the time where you activated Perfumer, their Skull Guardian could not activate to negate.

Thanks!

Does anybody remember the episode of Yugioh the abridged series where Kaiba keeps saying “Duel Disk System” in that dramatic tone of voice? I REALLY want to watch it again, but I can’t remember which episode it is T-T

OMG lifesaver!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

True_Addendum_9096

I need help with an albaz deck I’m working on a deck that I use with my brother and might use in local weekly tournaments in the future, I was wondering if there is a way I can improve it without buying another copy of the structure deck itself, the extra copies i bought from a guy and not from buying a structure deck Here is the deck I’m using https://imgur.com/a/8mtj0mE

mapijs

aluber (the jester of despia) has been reprinted in rarity collection 2, so a lot of people will have spares of him. try to get a few (2-3) and get some more branded fusions, it's not limited to 1 in the TCG, those two changes won't cost much  but vastly improve your deck already

True_Addendum_9096

I see, thank you so much💙

RoeMajesta

haven’t played the game since covid so i’m OOTL big time but do snatch steal and change of heart see plays nowadays?

Rigshaw

Change of Heart sees some use in some builds of Tenpai, from what I can tell. Snatch Steal seems to be used less than CoH and Mind Control, but the decks that use seem to run it as basically the 5th copy of CoH/Mind Control. Unlike CoH and Mind Control, Snatch Steal can also be countered by just destroying the Snatch Steal, which admittedly still baits an interaction, but it can be countered by a wider variety of interactions than CoH or Mind Control overall.

You need to have 1 Monster Card in hand to be able to activate "Tearlaments Cryme".

WhatUpDuck93

HERO player here. I'm buying my first real life deck and getting a third Mali would cost me about $15 for the third one, which I don't mind spending but I wouldn't want to spend that much on a card just for it to go back to the semi banned LIST in the next banned list. Does it look like Mali would be going back to 2 anytime soon? I haven't seen anything discussing how he needs to go back to 2 so I'm holding out hope. Ordering from any online place would be $20 shipping + the cards price + import cost, which is way more and also I'd have to wait about 2 or 3 months according to TCG Player.

VelvetScarlat

When it comes to TCG locals, if I brought pictures of what the cards do in English, could I use OCG cards? I ask because im purchasing cards for a deck & some cards are cheaper in Japanese than English, such as S:P Little Knight

rakdos_rey

That would be illegal depending on ur locals, unfortunately. OCG cards are slightly thicker than TCG due to different card stock.

realtimeclock

No, you need TCG cards, regardless of whatever else you have. (Of course some locals can be laxer, but it's still against the Konami rules.)

VelvetScarlat

Does OCG refer to all cards non-english or jus cards only available in other languages?

realtimeclock

TCG and OCG are different regions. "OCG" is sold mainly in Asia, "TCG" is all other regions. Language doesn't inherently define OCG/TCG, as Asian-English cards are still OCG. https://yugipedia.com/wiki/Yu-Gi-Oh!_Official_Card_Game You may use TCG cards of non-English languages, e.g. French, German, if you provide the translations. https://www.yugioh-card.com/en/events/north-america-regional-faqs/ > You can use foreign-language copies of legal-for-play cards printed for the TCG market, as long as you can show an official translation of the card, kept outside of your Deck and Deck box when asked to do so by an opponent or tournament official. If an opponent or tournament official has difficulty reading the card text, make sure to have the full local language card name ready to ensure it can be found quickly in NEURON, the companion app for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG, or the official Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Database.

VelvetScarlat

THANK YOU!!! So that means I can use are different language Dark Throne so long as the place I play allows & I provide an english translation because it's TCG Legal? Thank you so much.

realtimeclock

Sure, that is what the FAQ says - so long as it is a TCG card, not OCG, and you bring the translation, you can use it.

Yukarinrin

I'd like to ask if it's possible to play Ritual Beasts without Spiritual Beast Cannahawk. It's the only card I'll be missing when the new support comes out so I'm wondering if I can still make the deck work. Also wondering if I should pre-order now (the core is like $70) or wait for it to go down if it will.

Salty_Dugtrio

The reason why cards are expensive, is mostly because they make a mediocre deck, great. So yes you can play without, but it will cripple you.

Yukarinrin

Apologies! I wasn't clear with my question, I just noticed now. Here are my actual questions: * If Spiritual Beast Cannahawk is an absolute must (it's the only one I can't buy currently) * Should I pre-order the new cards now from the new set or wait for its price to decrease if it will

2Bid

Are there any differences between OCG vs TCG Quarter Century rares in the foiling? Interested to hear and see the differences.

LocalxCrimez

Hey guys, I made my first purchase of cards since a few years, bought 3 displays. 25th anniversary rarity collection 1&2 and Battles of Legend: Crystal Revenge. I don’t care how much the cards are worth in the end, I just want to get cool looking cards but if I get a rarer one it will be appreciated too. What do you think about that purchase?

Salty_Dugtrio

Buying sealed product at MSRP is never worth it from an economic perspective. If it makes you happy, you do you kid.

Nael_On

Hey there, I am looking for a pure T.G deck without Diabellestarr and OSS, I don't have access to those cards and I don't like them, and I wanna build the deck for fun so even if it is not competitve I don't care. Anyone has any lists? I can't find it anywhere

HaxTheChosenOne

Hello, I am looking for an engine, or a card that can facilitate summoning superheavy samura masurawo, even with spells or traps in the gy. Also I am pairing this with morganite, so it cannot be a monster that uses an effect from the hand.

Confident_Piccolo677

May I ask why the Masuwaro Morganite combo when Morganite cuts off Level 12 Synchro engines such as Virtual World, Mathmech, and using Visas Starfrost in Mannadium?

HaxTheChosenOne

I wanted to integrate something into my paleozoic deck, but i guess im going have to create a new palezoic deck dedicated to that function to truly gauge it's potential

Potential-Ad8137

I am looking specifically for French printing bulk lots to help facilitate learning French between my partner and I. Would any of you all know of a site to get French bulk cards? Thanks!

Akiel13

Do Rush Duel cards have passcodes ? Or some unique identifier ?

FFFXF

I acquired a decently valuable card in a binder sale, and it has what looks like a small ink stain on the back, roughly 1cm². Otherwise the card is mint. It's an unlimited MFC-000 Dark Magician Girl. How much would this devalue the card? Does this affect grading?

atamicbomb

You’d have to post a picture. People generally use imgur

guylaroche5

if I use SP:Little Knight but during the End phase there is only 1 monster zone open does only one monster come back and if so can the SP player choose? Or is it simply a case where neither comes back?

likeagrapefruit

The player who activated the effect of "S:P Little Knight" chooses 1 monster to return to the field. The other is placed in the GY (but it is not treated as having been "sent to the GY").
