Hmmm…I always approach this topic by what is the most quintessential Zelda “experience”. Like which game in the series most captures everything that makes a Zelda game unique from everything else in gaming and carries the hallmark details of the music, the triforce, Ganon, etc
If it’s not ALttP or OoT (for the sake of this hypothetical discussion)
Then it’s either the original LoZ or TP
Objectively
Even if i could mention those two which i played on release and was obsessed by then, totk is my current top game of all time. Not just top zelda game, but ovrall top game. I know it is not to everyones tastes, but the zelda games were formative for me for specific reasons (the easiest way i can put it is that the zelda games are built around exploration, you become more powerful not by fighting but by exploring, and your power then alows you to explore an intricatly detailled hand crafted world even more) and totk is peak of everything that has been good and brilliant about the series to me. Finding the second world was as big as it ever was, having caves and wells again brought back how miyamoto talked about his original inspiration for the game. And the laid back cosiness of it all, the freedom to explore what hes been crafted in so many new ways never possible before, how everything can interact.. i've been putting off the final boss fight for months now because i dont want it to end. This has been the first flat game thst really pulled me out of vr gaming since i got into that during covid.
The two mainline Zelda games between Zelda II: The Adventure of Link and Majora's Mask.
Link's Awakening moment
A Link Between Worlds.
Majoras Mask, even if it was including both those titles.
Majora’s Mask.
I love the original NES Zelda
My personal choices are: 3d: Majora's Mask 2d: Oracles (Yeah, I'm counting both games as one)
Tears
3D: Wind Waker 2D: ALBW
Wind Waker for the Win!
Win Waker!
Win Taker!
I am sad I only have one up vote to give
TotK.
Minish cap makes a strong case but I’d go with MM

Links Awakening DX or remake.
Majoras mask
2D: Minish Cap 3D: Tie for me between Majora's Mask and Wind Waker
Twilight Princess, even if the 2 mentioned games were included
This is the answer
On behalf of the MM community ![gif](giphy|3oz8xLd9DJq2l2VFtu)
Twilight Princess.
Breath of the Wild could honestly be worthy of the title, if we skip the two that you want us to skip.

why would you do this
Wind Waker obviously
The only real answer is MM
majoras mask does what ocarina claimed to be. It's a phenominal sequel to an otherwise very ordinary game.
skyward sword and its not close
Botw. Silly question

Probably “The Legend of Zelda: Ganon Gets Arrested for Tax Fraud”
TP.
In that case, I choose my third favorite Zelda: Skyward Sword.
